Finding Nik has been a blessing. I accidentally came across his videos on YouTube and knew I needed to have a consult with him, after watching some. I’ve had two 30 min sessions now and working through heaps of things he’s given me to improve my store and it’s working! Everything he says works. I can’t wait for my next session once I’ve ticked the things off the list that I need to do. Also he’s replied to my emails straight away when I’ve asked him things. If you want someone who doesn’t mince their words and gives you honest advice that’ll work for you then Nik is your man.

In our 30 min call Nik analyzed 3 main areas in my shop to improve. There was a lot of info and you know that it is not a chit-chat. It is full packed with data and knowledge. It passed so fast that you would like to listen more!

Before I get into my consulting review, I just want to say I've been a follower of Nik's Youtube channel since I first opened my store. And after following his advice to a T (in particular the "How to do Your First 100 days as an Etsy Seller" series) I've managed to get to over 3300 sales in just over a year.

This month I decided to do a discovery call to see if Nik could help me get my sales up even more, and he couldn't have been more helpful. After auditing my store for free, he was able to identify immediately the aspects of my shop which were weighing down my progress, and actually took the time to explain in detail how Etsy's algorithm works, and why I was experiencing a lull in sales.

I then booked in for a 60-minute consultation call, where Nik went into greater depth on each issue, and gave me a comprehensive, multi-step plan to implement changes, all while making sure these were doable for me.

Unlike a lot of Etsy gurus, Nik works on the basis that there's not always a "one-size-fits-all" type approach to Etsy. I really liked that everything he told me was tailored and personalised to work best for my own situation (I'm a digital store). I also think it's great that follow-up consultations are included in the package, as this allows you to make sure you're implementing things correctly.

And having seen others implement bad advice from other so-called "expert" Etsy YouTubers (who have no idea how the platform truly works at an internal level) I'm just happy I found Nik first!

To sum up, if you're a seller who's looking for a personalised and tailored approach to improving your Etsy store, I 100% recommend his 1-1 services! His YouTube channel is also a must-watch if you're looking for a no-fluff, no bs, honest reference point for understanding all things Etsy. I just had a consultation with Nik last night. He's very precise and knows what he's talking about. He gives you really good value for the time and gets to the point in an organized and easy to understand way. What he taught me gives me WAY more direction going forward

I had two consultations with Nik, one for 60 minutes and another for 30 minutes.

Did he tell me things I already knew? Yes, but he also drilled down on specifics related to my store. He took the time to examine my store thoroughly, not only highlighting areas of weakness but also explaining what needed to be done and, most importantly, why.

His solutions are not quick fixes. They involve a process that requires time and significant effort for achieving long-term, sustainable results.

Nik also helped me realize that Etsy was not the best platform for a particular product. He saved me time and money before I went too far down the wrong path. The moral of the story is, if you're struggling to apply strategies and get the desired ROI, consider whether Etsy is actually the right platform for you. His consultations might reveal that you're in the wrong marketplace for your product. That kind of informed knowledge is priceless.

For what it is worth for those of you reading this, do not bother with generic courses even if they are suited to your niche. Invest your hard earned cash and time into 1:1 consultations. Think private tuition for you and the growth of your business.

Nik is an impressive guy; I shared my store information with him over Zoom. I have been on Etsy for a long time and have managed many stores lately. I used to help manage my friend's shops, too. However, we have lost many accounts lately, especially in Q4 2023 and Q1 2024. Due to many different reasons, I can't call them here one by one. You all know what is happening with Etsy.

Did I know things he mentioned? Of course, I knew some of them, but not all. Sometimes, you only see some things clearly if you are too much into them. If you keep looking at the trees while you are skiing down the hill, you will only see the trees and hit one anyway, but if you keep looking at your pathway and snow, you will be skiing smoothly. Nik woke me up from this situation.

If you lack concentration or planning and are not a good listener, don't blame the teacher. Yes, he mentioned many things in the videos, but sometimes things may be different for your store, which was my situation at the moment. Everything he pointed out happened, and all of the warnings he showed came up to us one by one.

Getting another opinion about what or how you are doing won't hurt; Nik's perspective is different from all you see on YouTube. Trust me, I watched most of the overtime, people listened to music, and I listened to e-commerce :))

Nik knows his stuff. We attended a workshop with a couple other shops. He gave us so much good info. I started to implement some of the things he talked about and I have already seen an improvement in my shop and have seen an increase in sales. I still have a bunch to work on. But it is so nice getting some actual good info and knowing the why behind it. Nik doesn't just say do this or do that. He tells you do this because... There are a bunch of people out there on YouTube and other sites that claim to know Etsy but Nik actual does and is such a big help. I can not wait to work with him more.

Constructive consultation, now I have to implement what Nik said, and in 1 month we'll see if there are changes. I'm back with a review.
