After 5 years

After 5 years, my Miami Curve fireplace makes a loud sound. I contacted the manufacturer, and it took multiple attempts for them to respond. I made it clear the item is passed the warranty. I simply asked who I can contact to have this unit repaired since it costs me close to $1,000. They claimed they were not the manufacturer and have never sold products in the US. Unfortunately, for them, I have the manual that clearly states Evolution Fires and has their email address.

We strongly dispute the accuracy of this review.

We are a UK company supplying the UK market only. The invoice you provided to us is from Wayfair USA and identifies the product as a Fraenzel Curve Wall Mounted Electric Fireplace, not a Miami Curve as stated in your review. We have never listed either a Miami Curve or a Fraenzel Curve for sale in the UK.

Your invoice does not identify Evolution Fires as the seller or manufacturer. In addition, the document you sent refers to a .com website, whereas our official website is .co.uk. The material you have provided does not establish that this product was sold, manufactured, or warranted by our UK business.

For those reasons, we reject your claim that this review accurately relates to our company and dispute the factual basis on which it has been posted.

100% recommend this company top quality good looking fire looks absolutely fabulous in my lounge and all at a good price. I’d looked at lots of similar fires but none came anywhere near the quality and the look of natural flames. We did actually have a day out to go and view the fires in the showroom just to be absolutely sure before I ordered and it was well worth the journey. If your thinking of ordering a fire from this company you won’t be disappointed.

I ordered a package 21 and could not be happier with my choice. It has transformed my old cluttered living room into a modern sleek living space. Sales man was amazing, extremely helpful and offered to talk me through installation but I watched the online videos and had no problems. The sprayed blue is a stylish finish, adding to the modern feel of my living room. Love how the fire makes my room feel cozy during these miserable winter nights.

Bought a Studio 4 fire in June 2025

Bought a Studio 4 fire in June 2025. In December 2025 fire developed a fault which was a loud noise coming from the flame effect. Reported the fault as per the website instructions including a video which captured the loud noise.
I received no reply from Evolution Fires customer service. I telephoned the company and spoke to customer service. I was informed that the fire would have to be returned to them so that it could be examined to ascertain if there was a fault, even though the audio on the video made it very clear there was a fault. The weight of the fire is approximately fifty KGS
Now there is no way that I could do this and be sure that it would get to them in one piece. They didn't even offer to send packaging or any assistance to help with their ridiculous demand. Customer service is non existent, they ignore emails and telephone calls and just said that you have to send the fire back.
I have enquired with other suppliers of this type of fire and they all stated that if their product became faulty in the warranty period, a service engineer would be sent out to rectify the issue.
So if you want piece of mind when choosing an expensive fire as these are. I would definitely not buy from Evolution Fires. I have since had the fire repaired at my own cost.
As the old saying states "BUYER BEWARE"

Dear Mr Mackenzie,

We are sorry that you feel dissatisfied with the outcome of this matter.

For clarity, your fault report was received and reviewed. The video provided was assessed and no confirmed manufacturing fault was identified at that stage.

We spoke with you on multiple occasions via both email and telephone, and we replied to you on 13/01, 14/01 and 29/01. The inspection process was clearly explained.

You were advised that the Studio 4 is a wall-mounted model designed to be removable and that returning the appliance for inspection is a standard and reasonable step in order to verify whether a manufacturing fault exists. Inspection was offered on multiple occasions.

To clarify, you would not have been required to lift or transport the appliance yourself. Collection would have been arranged and handled by our appointed carrier.

In earlier correspondence, you stated that a third party believed the flame-effect motor required replacement. For clarity, the flame-effect motor is a sealed component and is not repairable it can only be replaced. A replacement would require a manufacturer-specific part supplied directly through Evolution Fires as part of our service process. No such parts were supplied by Evolution Fires, and no inspection was carried out by us. We are therefore unable to verify what repair was undertaken or confirm that this related to a manufacturing defect.

In your email dated 13/01, you advised that the noise had stopped and described the issue as intermittent. If the flame-effect motor had genuinely failed, the symptoms would typically be consistent rather than intermittent (i.e., the noise would not repeatedly disappear and return on its own).

This is precisely why inspection is required to verify the cause of any reported symptom before any repair or replacement can be authorised.

Fantastic quality and attention to detail!

I have my own longstanding business so I have very high standards and expectations from other businesses.

We ordered package 22, and from the packaging and installation videos to the installation measurement details this company gives you on delivery within your item, is just brilliant. You really have a feeling when the item is delivered that this company has really thought about the customers experience in receiving and erecting the media walls. They even provide you with an 8mm drill bit!!

I felt that no expense had been spared to get this right.

Whilst we were installing the media wall, I called twice to ask questions (which were obvious in hindsight), and I was able to speak very quickly to Rob and Jacob who were more than happy to help me.

The air spray finish is worth every penny and does not even look painted (outstanding finish) and is something we were apprehensive about so we ordered a sample and the final product was exactly the same finish as the sample we received. We order 'white' smooth finish and the product is a pure white.

The fire is also beautiful with some lovely settings. We received logs (both big and small) and crystals (small and large, brown and clear) so you can choose what's you like best and have a play around with different display. Again, its those little things that made this internet business not feel like an internet business!

We checked everything twice as we went through the ordering process with this company as its such a lot of money to pay over the internet and this business was nearly 2 hours from us and they do explain its the customers responsibility to double check sizes etc when confirming the CAD drawings.

The media wall is heavy (due to the quality) so it is a two person job. I did with my 75 year old dad and it took us ages to install, but that's because we wanted to take our time and do everything right and extra carefully, again due the cost, but everything was there that we needed and we kept playing pause on the installation video to step by step.

I highly recommend this business and the media wall products.

Well done to everyone at evolution fires and well done on this product and in achieving the feeling you have managed to get across to your customer about the care, quality and time that goes into this product. It was felt and appreciated and well respected on installation due to this.

Now to enjoy for many years to come.

Probably better companies out there

The ordering was easy, the product is great quality
. The customer service is rubbish. Having being repeatedly let down last minute and messed around by the delivery service I reached out to the company and was ignored with out any acknowledgment or response. There are probably better companies out there guys. I lost a few hundred pounds during the above mentioned mess around in work cancellations to be available for delivery which was cancelled multiple times with less than an hours notice.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Unhelpful staff when trying to obtain information. Happy to take money straight away even though we hadn’t agreed to the CAD and reluctant to refund when we weren’t happy with it. Would it not be better to obtain a deposit / have it in bold that you will loose it instead of just taking the full thousands of pounds

The unit came well packed

The unit came well packed, and delivery was complicated as our address was not on GPS correctly. We ordered a grey unit, and the colour on the website was a lot lighter than the unit we had received. It came in a black finish, and not grey as ordered. We tried to change the colour after we ordered it, and couldn’t change it, but accepted the grey, and this was not the case. We ordered the opening for a 55”TV, and added room for a sound bar, but the opening was built for a 65” TV, as the surrounding space was at least 8” wider than the television itself, which leaves quite a gap and does not allow for the TV to fit flush with the edge of the opening.Please let me know if this unit can be painted!

We also appreciate your email on 16th April, where you mentioned that your street address may not yet appear on GPS as it is part of a new development. This information was helpful in coordinating the delivery, and we thank you for your cooperation.

We received your follow-up email on 14th May, where you confirmed that “the colour is accurate, as I tried to change it too late in the ordering process.” We appreciate your understanding and would like to address a few key points for clarity:

1. Colour Finish
Your order was placed on 15th April with the Grey Stone Effect finish selected. A request to change the finish was received on 24th April, but by that time the CAD drawings had already been approved and the unit had entered production. Unfortunately, we are unable to make changes beyond this point.

While the colour received aligns with your selection, we understand that finishes may appear differently on screen. For future reference, we offer free colour samples to all customers prior to ordering to help ensure complete confidence in the final selection.

2. TV Opening Size
When placing your order, you selected the standard-size TV opening, which is designed for a 65” television. A custom cut-out option was also available at the time of purchase, allowing customers to input their exact TV dimensions for a tailored fit.

In this case, the standard-size cut-out was confirmed by you during the CAD drawing approval process, and the unit was produced accordingly.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. However, based on our review of your order, communication, and the confirmed CAD drawings, some of the concerns raised appear to be inaccurate.

That said, we remain committed to supporting you and are happy to assist with any solutions that help you get the best from your new media wall.

Wow what a fire. Absolutely spectacular

Purchased the evolution spectrum fire from evolution fires. I’m very happy with their customer service, Delivery arrived in 2 days from placing the order. Spoke to jacob and others from the team who were pleasant and friendly. Everyone is asking where my fire is from, it’s absolutely STUNNING. So many features, it gives out a good heat. Absolutely love the colours you can choose and to top it off it comes with LED side lights which you don’t get with a lot of other fires. I love this extra feature. This fire is well worth the money as there’s others ranging from 2k upwards. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Thanks evolution.

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars on this one.
Ordering went smoothly, and the packaging it turns up in is brilliant very confidence inspiring.
We bumped into an issue on installation though, I phoned for help, but no help came. So we had to make do. It’s not as secure on the wall as it could be due to this
Once installed the fire (72") makes a knocking noise, constantly and is hard to use especially for noise avoidant people. Once you tune in you’re stuffed, I spoke to someone on the phone about this who said to email a clip, I’ve emailed on the Monday, and today is Friday and no response at all. And no promised phone call back the next day, So we will have to source our own engineer to find out what the noise is. A partial refund to cover the cost would resolve. I gave it 4 stars in the end as we do love it. Apart from what’s mentioned. It looks good in our room. They just need to improve their aftercare as we’ve found it to be non existant.
