I booked my trip with FaresMe on June 18 and was told that I would receive my travel documents the day before my departure. My flight was scheduled for June 25, but I never received any travel documents.
Very early on the morning of my trip, I called customer service. An agent named Ross initially told me he was preparing to send my documents. A few minutes later, he changed his story and claimed that another agent had canceled my reservation and that they would have to rebook me.
Then he contradicted himself again by saying my travel documents had actually been sent four days before my call. That would have been around the time I booked the trip, and I can confidently say I never received them. I checked my inbox, spam folder, and every email account I use. Nothing.
I was then told my original Frontier flight was no longer available and that someone would call me back within four hours. That call never came. Four hours turned into 16 hours, then overnight. No one followed up. I had to keep calling them myself.
Because I was traveling home for a funeral, I had no choice but to purchase another ticket out of my own pocket. During this ordeal, I spoke with Ross, Alex, Charlie, and Peter. Instead of taking responsibility, Alex even called me a liar when I explained that I had to purchase another ticket because I never received my travel documents.
Only after I told them I intended to report the matter to the authorities did they issue a refund. I also filed a dispute with my bank to protect myself.
My experience was filled with conflicting information, broken promises, poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability. If your trip is important, especially for a family emergency or funeral, I strongly recommend booking directly with the airline or using a reputable travel agency instead.
I would never use FaresMe again, and I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
