The renter was brilliant. The security checks were a little tedious but I won’t mark it down because it’s important. Overall, great!

The support team on this company is a joke, there is no way you can get proper information when you need it. If you are concerned about insurance you should not use this company. Also the percentage taken on both sides is not nice. It’s started as a nice company but now a days they don’t want to hire enough people to give you proper support. Horrible experience…

Great platform to hire equipment from and also a great place to rent your own stuff.

The experience was great renters were precise with their collecting and returning times, very happy with the process.

I rented a thermal camera that fits on iPhone. The seller Chris responded quickly to my enquiry and I picked up the device a couple of days later, he had sent me info beforehand and then took time to make sure I knew how to operate it before I left.

This company is not even one star rating. They deserve minus ratings. Stay away from them by all means.
I contacted them on the Whats app number which they have published on the website for contact purpose. The WA reply to my message turned me back again to go the same website.
After sending my request through the website as suggested - they rejected my request and their reply does not sound sensible at all. They rejected my request because apprantly I don't have enough reviews !!!
I don't understand whats going on .......How and why should I order something unecessary which I never need. Just for the sake of building reviews ??? Ridiculous.
I enquired only or an item which I seriously need. Happy to pay any deposit if required. But they don't understand the context.
All in all a total horrible way of working. Not worth it.
I was very keen to work with them as I am a potential customer and these kind of things are totally detering to go with this company.
People should go to better renting suppliers. They are more efficient and practical.

This company is a joke, I see here plenty good reviews but when the bad ones shows it's worth it as they tend to let people down.
I've tried to rent a DJ desk for a fund raising event for a school. After endless process of verifications, emails, phone calls, more emails with more verification, anything they asked they approved the rental and charged the card. Only to cancel next day without any notice whatsoever. Nothing at all!!! If I wouldn't find out by accident in advance of the event, we would have been left without the necessary equipment for the fundraiser event. Could have probably just sing songs and hope we'd raise at least something to cover the costs.
Anyhow, I don't care whatever excuse they will reply here, this is just not what a fair company would do without at least being up straight and letting me know that they cancelled.

Super easy way to make a little extra money if you have things you think people would like to rent. Fat Llama does a great job at making it easy for both parties. Dont wait, just rent.

Quick, easy, and affordable

The platform is amazing and very useful among creatives and production people. However, there've been a considerable number of times when either the phone app or website would crash and I wouldn't be able to communicate with people in my inbox, the payment won't work sometimes, I would write a message and the other person replies at the same time and my message disappears, and that's been frustrating.
Lastly, they're very cheeky with their fees: charging both receiving ends 25% for service fees and charge VAT additionally too. Technically, they take the risk of covering for stolen items in case of scams (or damages during production) and do filter people out who do not seem eligible for renting, but I haven’t run into that problem yet (hopefully won’t), so I can’t say much in that regard.

An unreliable company who could cancel your equipment the day of rental. Not even a customer service number to be able to contact. Will NEVER use this service again.

If I needed to build my way up to renting good equipment as a photographer by using cheaper and worse quality equipment, I would have an easier chance saving money for my own equipment. Seems very pointless to me.

A great first experience with Fat Llama. Ideal for grabbing some camera equipment last minute if you get stuck!! It was easy, and all went smoothly.
