Great service, used it many times
I have rented several things via Fat Llama, it's an incredible service and such a fabulous idea. I plan to put lots of my own stuff up for rent too very soon.

Hassle free equipment rentals Since my initial registration
Since my initial registration, everything has worked smoothly and I’ve completed several well-priced rentals with a minimum of fuss. The only problem I had was with my original registration because I have neither Facebook nor LinkedIn accounts. But when a human operator got involved they soon cleared up the problem

Lent out number of random things. Recently laptop got non returned. Excellent service within a week they paid out on the insurance equivalent second hand value which is fair. This platform is amazing. Wish they could improve the app UI and be more visible in UK. They are saving the planet by avoiding single use purchases for all of us !

Easy and smooth
I had such a smooth experience using Fat Llama while on a whole different continent to rent last minute equipment for a spontaneous shoot we decided to do while in London. It was an easy process to get started and everyone was so responsive. Will definitely use again!

Good, but beware the identity verification
The experience of renting equipment was fast and easy. HOWEVER, before you can place a rental request you have to go through an extensive identity verification request that asks for a TON of personal information (passport, photo, banking details, flight details, where I was staying on my trip). It feels horribly intrusive, and the site offers no guarantees of what will be done with the personal data you have to upload.

So far so good
So far so good. The potential is there the fees seem to a little to high but you have to offset that with the fact that it has generated income from items that might be sitting gathering dust. for anyone wanting to rent my paddle-board or bits of camping gear go take a look :-)

Convenient and secure
I’ve been renting camera gear from Fat Llama since 2021. The process has always been secure and smooth.
It’s easy to find a choice of lenders who are close by and also chat with them securely if you have any questions beforehand.
I’ve only ever had one issue with a piece of kit I rented, but Fat Llama resolved it quite quickly.
I will definitely continue to use them for any additional equipment I need for future photography projects.

Good place to lend stuff
Nice way to borrow my GoPro, feels even safer with the insurance policy they improved last year! Haven’t had any issues with lenders though so thankfully i haven’t had the need to contact them.
It’s a nice passive income for things you don’t use and in the long term, my GoPro will have paid itself off if people keep borrowing it :)
The one thing to be aware of is about cosmetic damage. Not sure if they cover this but due to usage you might get these cosmetic marks. If you don’t mind this is the perfect place to lend.
Been using FatLlama for more than 2 years.

Misleading information just wants to…
Misleading information just wants to take your money it's not a company it's con artist .I booked a ladder which showed 0.7 miles from my postcode.wich is very short walk. When I booked it it showed the address 80 miles. Away after paying for it. They were so quick to take the money now they don't want to give it back they say contact the renter.first time using fat lama too. There telling me to do their job for them. Very misleading information. Could not even do the job I needed as I booked the night before. It would've been cheaper for me to buy it than travel 160 miles round trip.
