I was really impressed by Tom's professionalism.

As a buyer, you can often feel pressured by the estate agents but this was not the case. Tom maintained the perfect balance of contact, enough to progress the sale but not put me off buying the house.

When we collected the keys there was no-one from Fearnalls there due to a prior arrangememnt but seamless arrangements had been made for us, along with a much appreciated gift box containing some choccies, beer and some useful vouchers.

I will definitely be recommending Tom & his team to anyone selling, and will be using them for my next sale.

This is my second review, my second time using Fearnalls in five years. Back in 2019/2020, my wife and I met Richard sometime in October after viewing dozens of houses in Chester, Crewe and Manchester and meeting countless estate agents. Richard established himself as a forthright and well-informed professional immediately. We had viewed so many houses with estate agents who either didn’t know the council tax or the condition of the boiler or, at times, didn’t bother to show us around the property. Richard was early and had all the windows and front door ajar and was masked up to greet us. After asking a few generic questions regarding the property, I asked him about the timeframe and general procedure of buying a property as an FTB. In about 15 minutes, Richard clearly and concisely outlined the entire purchasing process for us. I left the viewing extremely confident of Richard’s ability to help us close the deal and push it through as quickly as possible. After our offer was accepted, Richard met us in the evening to show us around again and answer more questions posed by my more knowledgeable friend. After the first viewing, I liked the property a lot, but it was Richard’s insight and knowledge that alleviated our initial apprehension about buying a property. After exchanging money and gaining the keys, Richard met us at the property and made sure we turned on the gas, water and electrics. He is a consummate estate agent.

Late last year, we put our apartment on the market with both Richard and Tom. Tom arrived to present his case for using Fearnalls and wasn't forceful or pushy or trying hard to sell Fearnalls, which is emblematic of the company's style. It is understated and they both know just how good they are compared with other competitors in Chester. (We had 4 estate agents come to offer their services and value the property.) After uploading our sale online, we had 4 visits booked promptly. Luckily, the first viewing came around to our asking price and we agreed on a sale within four weeks. As anyone who lives in England and has any interaction with the property market will know, the process generally moves at glacial speed compared with other European countries or Canada, etc. We were expecting a completion date within three months, but the process stretched to seven months. Within our chain were 5 households, which made communication immensely difficult. Thankfully, Richard was readily available to offer sound advice and help to save the chain from collapsing. Now, we are happily moved into our new home and owe Fearnalls our gratitude for making it happen. It is without a competitor in Chester, I only wish they expanded to the south so I can use them in years to come to sell again.

Fearnalls were brilliant from start to finish when buying our house. We were able to view houses at times that suited us -not having to wait for specific Saturday slots weeks in the future - and once we put an offer in it was very straightforward. Richard kept us up to date with the process and gave us true and honest opinions which were greatly appreciated. Overall, very happy with dealing with Fearnalls and have no complaints at all.

It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Tom Fearnall. From start to finish the process has been so easy.

What we liked about Tom is that he responded quickly to our initial enquiry. The two viewings were arranged to suit us as we travelled up from London to see the property. We never felt rushed during the viewings and he discretely removed himself when we were having our private discussions or measuring up the place but was always on hand to answer any questions. He showed up on time for the appointments and was charming to speak to and very helpful.

We required Tom's assistance in getting the sale completed to our timescale as the legal process was slow so he followed up with the sellers and their solicitors on our behalf to keep the transaction moving forward. Nothing was too much trouble.

We were always kept updated on all the aspects of our house sale, from the initial visit, photos, 360 degree video, the advertisement, all the viewings were accompanied by a member of staff and feed back from each of the viewers.
If we had any questions, no enquiry went unanswered, either someone picked up the call or replied that day.
Tom was always helpful and made the whole process of selling almost stress free.
