I strongly advise against purchasing any devices from Fig. Based on my experience with two separate units, these phones are slow, fragile, and not worth the investment.
• Durability Issues: My first phone lasted about a year before a short fall from a shopping cart completely killed the screen. While drops happen, the internal damage was disproportionate to the impact.
• Structural Failure: After the first phone broke, I switched to a second "backup" Fig phone I had purchased at the same time Thinking it’ll be temporary. Incredibly, it lasted only two weeks before it literally cracked in half.
• Customer Support & Warranty: Getting in touch with the company was a struggle; they rarely answer the phone. When I visited the store, I was told a repair would cost $75. Despite the second phone only being in use for two weeks, they refused to honor the warranty because the original purchase date was abt 18 months ago.
The Bottom Line: Fig does not stand behind its products, and the build quality is unacceptably low. Save your money and buy from a brand that offers better durability and more flexible customer support.

I recently got this phone and I couldn’t be happier! The salesman was incredibly patient and helpful, answering all my questions. The phone has an impressive range of features, from a clear and vibrant display to a fast, smooth system. It’s very user friendly and works perfectly for everyday tasks. This phone has disappointed me from day one. At first glance, it looks decent — solid build, clean design — but once I started using it daily, red flags emerged.

The biggest issue? The manufacturer severely limits access to AI-powered texting features, even though my carrier supports them. Despite having an Android system capable of smart replies and auto-suggestions via Google Assistant, this phone disables those functions unless you manually enable third-party apps. This feels like intentional restriction rather than a technical limitation — especially since similar models from other brands handle AI messaging seamlessly.

Worse still, the promised “software updates” feel more like cosmetic changes disguised as improvements. Over two years of updates have passed, yet core performance hasn’t improved. Battery life remains inconsistent, app loading times haven’t gotten better, and frequent background crashes suggest poor optimization.

It seems many updates were less about fixing bugs or improving security — and more about changing UI elements, adding bloatware, or pushing users toward proprietary services. In short, they’re updating the phone to look newer, not perform better.

In conclusion: While the hardware isn’t terrible at launch, the lack of meaningful feature support — particularly around modern AI communication tools — combined with shallow, distracting updates, makes this phone frustrating to use long-term. For what it costs, you deserve more than a device that holds back innovation and prioritizes appearances over actual usability.

It's interesting that it is a good phone. I mean the features. but it breaks easy, also sometime when i go to the Borough park store It's hard to tell them that it's broken because they will tell you that it's your fault in if you want to fix it you need to pay a lot of money. like over $80.00 for nothing. I'm sorry but please give better customer service!!!

I read the reviews before buying the phone and was honestly hesitant. But I don’t know such a great company could have bad reviews. I absolutely LOVE the phone. They keep updating their software and add amazing features. It’s completely un-hackable and is surprisingly strong. I dropped my phone without a case on the street and my IPhone screen would’ve cracked for sure and my Fig didn’t even have a scratch. I could only HIGHLY recommend the product. It’s amazing!!

after 1 month it fell [not a heavy fall] and the hinge broke. They would charge 75 dollars for repair.

I bought locally in the Brooklyn store a fig phone for my son to use in Israel for the year. I paid fully upfront for the FULL year, however after 5 months the service stopped for non payment without warning. My credit card was charged at time of purchase for the full package deal. I've been in touch with fig here in Brooklyn but they haven't done anything to help. My son has repeatedly tried reaching someone in Israel from fig but to no avail, office is always closed. I've come to realize fig service is a hoax a scam, they take money and don't pass it onto the necessary vendors and now I'm stuck. I will have to take legal action if it doesn't get fixed ASAP... FAST!!!

I got a fig phone in March, two months later the top part (screen) came of the bottom, despite it being a new EXPENSIVE phone they asked me for $80 to fix, with no choice I paid and got it fixed.
Now a mere two months later my phone shut off and will not turn on, I'm not even going into the store because they can't help much!
Extremely disappointed, don't fall for this "FIG" scam!!!!

I purchased a Fig II flip phone for a whopping $375.

Not cheap for a flip phone.

It worked fine, until it didn't.

The phone reboots all by itself, after a few minutes of phone conversation.

Sometimes, the phone turns off within minutes of charging the battery.

A plug the phone in message comes up on the screen, but after plugging in the phone, the battery shows as being either entirely full or almost full.

I could deal with issues. Stuff happens.

But when trying to reach Fig for help on this issue, it an impossible task.

They don't answer phone, neither do they answer their text help line, nor did they respond to my online inquiry through their website.

They're taking advantage of people who don't want a smartphone, with the hope that they won't know how to fight them.

I highly don’t recommend Fig flip phones.
They also have terrible customer service!

I bought My phone 3/10/25 In store then great service. That's where it ends. Phone is made of very low quality. After 2-3 weeks, the touch screen becomes very slow, and other apps begin to malfunction, Incoming calls, messages and Alarms don't always work. I was okay to spend the hefty price... Until 3 weeks later... Very frustrating.

When I bought this phone, I was told that I could come in for repairs within a year, and they would gladly fix my phone. A few months later, it fell (with the case on), and the front screen stopped working. I was okay with that, but then my charging port also stopped working. Now, I have to take out the battery and charge it with a separate adapter. This means I spend the whole day juggling charging the quickly draining batteries.

I understand these things happen, but when I went into the store, they charged me an additional $50 to fix it. On top of that, the attitude I received was not helpful. When I asked about the one-year protection plan, they simply denied it. I requested to speak with the manager who was reportedly in the back, but I was told he wouldn’t be available until Wednesday.

Is it really worth buying this phone? Please send me your feedback.
