Horrible, unresponsive and unreliable customer service

I ordered a Reversible Pile Fleece Jacket. The jacket is great but the service is horrible. I initially ordered the wrong size and wanted to return. The return program did not accept my return and Mike of customer service (a chatbot?) told me that I was outside the 14 days return period, which I was evidently not. After escalating, I could return the jacket, but they returned the purchase price minus 25 euro, instead of 15 euro as indicated on their website. Mike of customer service repeatedly tells me 160 - 135 = 15.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.

8 minutes after making an order with Filson.eu I emailed asking to cancel. An AI-generated reply came from ‘Mike’ telling me it was too late to cancel, I’d have to wait for it to be delivered from Italy to the UK, then post the item back. For this there would be a £15 charge. After some back-and-forth it became apparent that my attempts to reason with this AI bot were futile. So I contacted Filson via their webchat ‘service’. Exactly the same: AI bot, no person, no help. After asking to speak with a real person it said someone would be in touch within two hours. 24 hours have gone by and still nothing. In desperation I phoned their US number (the only number I could find), who told me their EU department was totally separate and there was nothing they could do.

Here’s some advice for Filson: don’t insult your customers’ intelligence by trying to pass off an AI as a real person. Don’t make the cancellation process so impossible that they are forced to make a lengthy and costly return instead. Don’t make it impossible to talk with a real customer service representative. Treat your customers with respect or they’ll quickly lose it for you.

What a shame. Provide poor or no customer service, and it won’t matter what the quality of the product is. My advice is avoid this company like the plague.

Shopping on filson

Shopping on filson. Eu was brilliant I bought the filson x blundstone boots size 9 in nubuck leather these boots are amazing quality and very well made the pull on tabs are made of leather I really love these boots there so comfortable I had a little heel slip but after a few days this seemed a lot better I can highly recommend them you won't be disappointed and the service and delivery times are so good 👍👍🙂
