Do not use this disingenuous middle-man


Do not use this disingenuous middle-man service.
We had problems with a delivery because of the truck size and access even though other skip companies have delivered along the same road.
Rather than sorting out the problem we were charged £98 for a failed delivery and both FindASkip and the skip company refused to take responsibility.

Mr George was given a full refund at a cost to us and we changed the wording on our booking confirmation to ensure in future customers are aware that they must make certain they have enough space / access to place a skip when ordering. It is disappointing that you have chosen to leave a poor review, when we are not at fault in any way. You ordered a skip through us with your home address as the delivery place. You then telephoned the supplier the day before and changed the delivery address without informing us. We were not made aware of the issue until the supplier tried to deliver the skip to a narrow private road, that was wide enough for the standard 18 tonne lorry. If we had been made aware that access was tight we would of arranged for a smaller lorry (7.5 tonne) to deliver the skip. The supplier charged a wasted journey (not us) as they were there for over 30 minutes and were left with an empty skip on board that caused issues for his other planned deliveries for the morning. As stated we refunded Mr George in full and took the wasted journey fee for him as a gesture of good will on this occasion.

Was very happy

Was very happy. Needed a skip for next day but the skip firm let me down but the company found me a new skip for the same day even tho I paid more I was happy and bigger skip. Skip came within a couple of hours on the same day I made payment and same day skip was due to be delivered. The company worked hard to knock this off. Thanks guys.

Appalling Behaviour

We ordered a skip and via on line chat stated it was to remove 4 mattresses. I needed a replacement skip and after the first skip had been collected was told I would be billed extra for 4 mattresses. I refused to pay and then ended up in dispute with them. The company owner Zoe Clark phoned and shouted abuse at me down the phone. The woman claimed to have sent an email which was never received. Do not bother with these people. They are absolutely useless and extremely rude. Best advice is to go elsewhere but if you have been unfortunate enough to get caught up in their scam request to see all evidence of everything they have written or said via the Data Protection Act.

We did not phone and abuse the customer, we simply asked for the mattress disposal costs, which were flatly refused. The customer was made aware of these upon booking over the telephone.

Our website does clearly state that mattresses may be charged additionally for, depending on the supplier.
We have since made changes to the booking process to ensure there is no confusion for any other customer. In addition to this all telephone bookings are recorded.
