Finology Software is the federal student loan planning engine used by financial advisors who work with client debt. Advisors import a client's federal loan file and compare every repayment plan the client can actually elect under the rules in effect since July 1, 2026: the Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP), the new tiered Standard plan, IBR, ICR, and the closures of SAVE and PAYE. Each plan comes back with its monthly payment, lifetime cost, forgiveness timing, and the estimated tax on any forgiven balance. Plans a client cannot elect are shown with the rule that excludes them, so the comparison is honest about what is off the table. The same engine is available to software teams through a REST API, and to AI assistants through an MCP server that Claude and other clients can call directly. Every figure is parity-verified against a reference oracle on each release and stamped with the rule version and date in effect. Figures are for planning and education, not financial advice.

Much needed!
Using Finology Software has been an excellent way for us to incorporate student loan planning into our broader holistic financial planning process. Most planning software doesn't have the capability to do detailed student loan calculations, so Finology Software is much needed!

Finology Turns Young Professionals into Clients
When Alex introduced our firm to Finology's ease of producing alternate model scenarios for our clients, mostly young Attending and Resident Physicians, it was immediately clear that it would be key to engaging them in comprehensive planning agreements. To date every client that has seen the results of Finology's analysis has also engaged our firm with at least one other service.

The Gold Standard of student loan repayment planning
Finology Software is the gold standard when it comes to student loan repayment planning. Using this tool has allowed me to increase capacity and scale quickly with ease. There just isn’t a tool like it for serious financial planner when it comes to student loan repayment.
