A really worthwhile app.
I read through the negative reviews and it seems that they are reviewing something totally different from what I am reviewing. I am reviewing the FitOn app, NOT a gym membership in the USA. It is a shame that these two have been confused. The app is absolutely fantastic. There are so many workouts to choose from, and when you sign up for a challenge, you are motivated to keep going. Or maybe you have natural motivation and will keep going without the challenges! There is a huge variety of instructors, workouts, and different types of exercises (Pilates, yoga, cardio, HIIT, strength training...). I have used a few different apps and this is by far the best. And I am talking about the free version! If you want to pay for the Pro version, it is around £26 a year.

FitOn and Planet Fitness Issues - No end in sight!
I am a FitOn member through my job. I have been for about 3 years. I am struggling and am so upset with trying to sign up with Planet Fitness. I have contacted FitOn and PF and there is no resolve. The answer was to issue a refund. I don't pay for this benefit. There has been no transparency and no end to this issue. Planet Fitness can not verify my memebership. I truly miss NYSC but they are no longer apart of FitOn. I wonder why.
What to expectâŠ
My experience with FitOn Health has been one of confusion and a lack of communication. The General Manager of our club could not get a response from the FitOn administrators as we were attempting to sign up members. When contacting FitOn, sign up, payment and the ability to navigate the phone tree were less than straight forward.
Highmark switched from SilverSneakersâŠ
Highmark switched from SilverSneakers to FitOn in January and immediately we had problems. The debit card they provided was not accepted by many local gyms. I had to switch to an in network gym. Ultimately Highmark fired FitOn and in August went back to SilverSneakers . This was a horrible experience and FitOn provided little help. Their help line was useless. Avoid them at your peril. Asked them for an apology was told What for?

I had been with Fiton for a few years, paid for the subscription for the Pro. When it was time to renew, I paid again in full, but for some reason they couldnât see the renewal amount paid on their end. I sent them a screenshot of the receipt, that I had paid in full for a year and it showed I was covered for another year. No problem right? Wrong. They would not honor my payment, even with proof of purchase, with all the information clearly showing, along with the proof of purchase from my bank account. So, I basically paid for nothing. They get the money, and I get screwed. Then they have the nerve to keep sending me notices to sign up for Pro services ð. Terrible customer service, but hey they got their money.

My wife and I have Medicare and. North Carolina Blue Cross high end supplement insurance. We were excited to find out that our Blue Cross insurance contracted with FitOn to provide $112 per month for each of us for fitness programs. We had been paying privately to go to a hospital run fitness center in High Point, NC For years. We initially after several hours of phone calls found that our fitness center was out of their network and we couldnât use our benefits there. Later we were informed after receiving complaints from a number of people enrolled at the center that they would start covering our center. A few payments were made. Then they stopped paying without notifying us. Again more hours on the phone calls to find out that they agreed to again begin payment but we would have to register via computer each month in advance to maintain coverage. We did that. Then they stopped paying without notification again. More phone calls to find out that they would no longer cover our bill. This Company is total RIP OFF! Cancelled the subscription a couple months in last year as it did not work for me. Got charged today for another year. Now you can start the cancellation process in the app but have to also email their support. So sick of this crap. Provide a refund asap. Reporting this transaction to my bank as well.

This company is fraudulent! It says gym membership is provided with this Highmark benefit. January & February was paid & no payment since. Multiple calls to fiton & highmark with zero results. DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM.....get silver sneakers.

No more Fitbit/Smart Watch deep discounts. The website is hard to maneuver, the home workout items are a poor selection. NOT impressed at all. I 'wish' Excellus would realize their mistake.
Highmark's going on the cheap
I don't know what prompted Highmark to switch to this, but I'm guessing it's saving them money. A week before this was announced, I had joined a facility for swimming (I had already belonged to a gym for many years). Come to find out, between the gym and the new place, I was way over the credits and it would cost me more monthly than when I paid for the gym before I turned 65.
Highmark is also using a terrible OTC vendor where you have to do it all online, and in most cases, you get crap products.
Both of these are telling me that Highmark is looking for the cheapest way out and cheapening their product. Looks like next year will be time for an insurance change.
Went to my gym today
Went to my gym today. I received a notice of the membership not being paid. The Manager is very frustrated and angry about corresponding with their Office. Highmark is also having problems with personnel that they have been in touch with over the past several weeks. Enrolling was a virtual nightmare and most customer service personnel were very confused!! Iâm contacting certain agencies to inquire to the financial viability of this Corporation. I would not be surprised to find out that they are running some sort of illegitimate programs.

Now I am supposed to go online everyday to go through all this nonsense before I go to a class? Excellus has stabbed its customers in the back with this. Customer service is awful
Customer service is awful. It takes an hour to several of being put on hold to speak to a person. The in-person gym options are much more limited than Silver Sneakers. Works on a âcredit/pointâ system that is very confusing. I do not recommend this program.
NO Support, Will likely look for new Medicare insurance next year
Honestly, Highmark is making this available to its Medicare clients, but has shared no information. I got some log-on information from my insurance agent (not helpful) and tried to call. Getting through the telephone tree was impossible. They do not have many gyms or classes in my area. If it doesn't improve, I'll be looking for a new insurance plan during open enrollment with a better known product for fitness (e.g., Silver Sneakers).
Having a problem with my membership
Having a problem with my membership. YMCA can't accept Fiton Membership until they receive an email from them saying I am a member even though it says it on the app. Can't get a hold of anyone at Fiton, by phone or email. Terribly unorganized program. I don't know why BCBS didn't stick with Silver and Fit - that was a great program....Fiton is a nightmare!

I had made two payments to FitOn for my gym membership, yet the gym never received them. A simple issue to resolve, right? Unfortunately, no. I spent 45 minutes on the phone, only to be told the matter had to be escalated to the payments team and that I would receive a follow-up. Unsurprisingly, that never happened.
After multiple emails, I finally received a responseâbut instead of a solution, I was met with endless runarounds. I documented over fifty emails attempting to get answers. FIFTY!! Astonishingly, they even told me I had no legal right to ask why my payments had not been forwarded to the gym as they should have been. I asked them to produce a legal document that said that, which magically never arrived.... Meanwhile, the gym, not having received the funds, began threatening to charge my credit card for the outstanding balanceâdespite the fact that I had already paid FitOn.
The representatives I spoke with, Amber and Shanna, showed ZERO interest in helping. As a paying customer, I have every right to know where my money went, especially when the business I paid is not receiving it. The gym also attempted to contact their representative multiple times with no success.
To make matters worse, after repeatedly refusing to assist me, they provided me with a link to Aetnaâs website when I requested information on how to file a complaint. So, effectively refusing me the right information to file a complaint with their company. At this point, I will be filing complaints with the Department of Consumer Protection, the State Attorney General, and any other relevant agencies.
A simple acknowledgmentââYes, we forgot to mail the check, but it will be issued in X daysââwould have sufficed. Instead, I was forced to send fifty emails just to track down my own money. This level of incompetence and disregard for customers is entirely unacceptable.
