I used Fitted Alarms again for my service and I also wanted to install a new sensor for my Garden shed and wanted the new sensor to be incorporated into my current Alarm system. I spoke to their friendly office staff. They were very helpful and arranged the date and time to carry out the installation and the service to my convenience.

Their engineer was prompt on the day and very professional. Very pleased with their prompt service, and all with a good price.

Best customer care ever experienced..The engineer was prompt and polite. He answered all my queries patiently.

I am so impressed! They have a customer for life!

Update: The company are very courteous (engineers and managers) and attempt to ensure the customer is left happy. I was offered a refund such that I paid no more that what I paid for the initial service a couple of years ago.

I think the company are good at what they do and the alarm installation is priced competitively (the base package) but I still maintain that the cost of annual service or ad hoc servicing and extra parts does not represent value for money.

The company fitted a Yale home alarm three years ago. All ok (though virtually no training was given). We had an annual 'service' a couple of years ago where they simply changed the batteries and checked the fault log on the alarm (5 minute job). £120. Last year I simply replaced the batteries myself (simply unscrew the sensor, pop battery out, pop new one in - 2 minutes and 40p for the battery).

Last week our siren battery needed replacing, which is a bit trickier. As I'm busy with work, I told my wife to deal with it - with the company quoting £90 for the 'service'. We live in a 3 bedroom terrace, no sensors in the bedrooms, just the typical layout plus a keyfob and an extra window sensor.

The cost to come and replace the batteries.... £198! The breakdown: £90 to show up at your door and look at the fault log on your alarm (5 minutes), £24 to change siren battery, £6 to change each sensor battery (2 mins work each, pennies for the battery), one door contact replacement because it was allegedly faulty: £39 (£15 on Amazon). Total: £198 for routine battery replacement and sensor.

You can imagine my shock when my wife calls me to tell me what she paid! The whole alarm system cost just over £400!

In all fairness, most of the pricing is on the website if you look hard enough (though I couldn't see the £24 charge for changing the siren battery - plus previously the £120 included battery changes as well so this seems to be a new pricing policy). They should have also stated this on the phone. So my advice is buyer beware! When estimating the total cost of the system including battery changes - either change batteries yourself, or get an alarm with an annual plan which makes sense.

Very impressed, turned up on time, did a good quality job installing new sensors, chap was very polite, tidied up after and were good value for me, will certainly use them again for the next service.

ALARM SERVICE;
The man came over and replaced all the batteries in the sirens and mobile sensors as well as the door switches . All tested and ok .
Very pleasant guy and helpfull as my wife has partial sight only .
He he gave her instruction and wouldn't leave untill we were completely conversant with the system .
Very good employee .
We would recommend this company as we had confidence in what he was saying .

He was very nice and kind and installed all the parts on the best spots and explained everything I have to know. I do recommend this company.
