Tessa at bliss is a complete scammer! They will hide fees from you and try to charge you when you check out for fees that you’ve never even heard of… stay away from this company and especially Tessa she has a huge reputation on the island of being scandalous and deceitful!
Renters beware!!!

This management company is deceitful, fraudulent, dishonest and deceptive.
They lied to us about the condo we rented it was under major outdoor reconstruction.
They knew about the construction and rented the property when the HOA advised owners not to rent during the time period.

We had a fantastic experience in a pristine and well maintained house (Villa Blanco). I don't think it could have been much better in fact.
There are different home owners and Fivestar is the managing company, so I imagine there would be different experiences with different properties but we had an exceptionally good one, and customer service was very fast and helpful.

Unscrupulous business tactics. Rents homes on VRBO with a 100% refund policy but buries an undisclosed credit card fee in the description. We had to cancel and thry charged a 3,5% fee against the entire rental amount which was never charged, only a deposit. After reading these other reviews, I'm glad we canceled as they seem to have horrible reviews for property condition and interactions with renters.

Should be called one star properties. There is nothing high class about this company. Poorly maintained properties. Poorly managed business. Poorly trained employees. An owner that doesn’t care as he makes millions off of doing nothing. Consider them a scam. Stay far away! Save yourself a headache and your hard earned money.

I wish that we had the same great experience that others have had renting from 5 Star, but I don't! We are currently staying in Destiny East in a home that we have had nothing but problems with. It all may sound small when I list the issues, but when you're coming from far away and spending so much money to have nice things for your family vacation you haven't taken in 23 years, you expect things to be in working order.

Here's the list:
1. The pool doesn't work. Broken pump. Now it's slimy. No ETA on the part.
2. The dryer doesn't work. ETA to be fixed is tomorrow, five days after our arrival.
3. No propane in the tank to use the grill. Waiting on that for days.
4. Shower upstairs has one door that barely moves and the other swings in the shower off the track.
5. One of the showers downstairs has the same shoer door sining in issue, plus water shoots out of the shower head, over the shower doors, and onto the floor. Slipping hazard.
6. Broken sofa.
7. Palmetto bugs inside the house (otherwise known as cockroaches).
8. Two of the sleeping spaces they advertised online are actually beds in two different closets!
9. Bikes here to use needed to be replaced because the chain fell off of one when we rode it. They replaced those quickly.
10. One broken lounge chair by the pool. Reported but never replaced.

I may be missing things but I believe this is enough to deter other renters from this rental company. There are many other options in Florida, but Destiny East will not be one that we or our friends and family ever stay in again!

Horrible company, poor management, poor communication everything. They falsely advertise, do not maintain their properties, and leave guests with issues galore. They refuse to reimburse, so we will be filing a court claim to recoup the thousands of dollars we lost due to issues with the property we stayed at with them.

Properties are poorly maintained. Garage door opener didnt work, fans inoperable, light bulbs burnt out, stains, worn cabinets, etc. all the usual for poorly maintained properties. The killer for us was the bathroom, which was inoperable due to the floor collapsing the day prior to our arrival. There was nothing they could/would do to fix it to make the bathroom usable during our week at the house.

Five star gulf rental was the absolute worst customer service I have come upon recently. They offered no help when the their lack of timely response created a problem with our checkout. In trying to appeal to his humanity and explain our 2 year old just needed time for a nap, the manager threatened to call the sheriff if we did not vacate the property. A very harsh response! There are many great management companies in the area. Don’t take a chance with five star.

Not the Norm
Five Star Gulf Rentals went above & beyond to accommodate our families beach rental at Not the Norm. They are a great rental company & we plan to book with them again. The property is 10 star we could not have ask for anything better. Everything was clean & check out instructions were simple.

I called Five Star Properties spoke with the lovely Montana. She was awesome. She was patient and she went through all the houses to make sure I hit the house that I want it even though the house wasn't available for a day she made sure we still get what exactly what we wanted. We selected Vista Del Mare such a lovely home architect and the crown molding was fabulous. The chef kitchen was even better wash and dry all three floors bathrooms on every floor two ice machines and it was hot. The only downside the beds were to soft in the master bedroom, but besides that we enjoyed our stay, everything was wonderful. And the staff was even better. I'll give a five star and I will be right with him again thank you guys for your services.

We booked the condo beach rental Seaview Unit 300 with Bliss Beach Rentals for a week in August 2023. Aside from an unusual lingering odor, the unit itself seemed ok, but the building was a disaster. The elevator was inoperable from day one and three calls into reporting, we never heard another promised response for a timeframe on repair or a warning that there would be no plans for repair during our stay. Had it been working and we had not had to climb the 48 steps (one-way) for 7 days straight with the entire family and all belongings all day long, we might not have noticed the building was filthy all the way down. There was a presumably used dental floss pick, roaches (alive and dead), grimy hand-railing, and awful smell from top to bottom that greeted us the entire visit.

Maintenance arrived without notice on our last day to replace the air filter in our unit with no news, apology, or offer to compensate for the miserable state of the building. They also had to trek the hallway and stairs to reach the unit, so obviously they were aware of the conditions and had nothing to say about it.

The Gulf view and family friendly layout of the unit is exactly what we would like to have enjoyed most. However, the lack of control over the property’s poor maintenance will keep us from ever booking this property or with this company again.

Worst service ever! If you have any issues with your rental they will absolutely put you off every single day until you finally depart! I will never rent through them again! That’s not to mention that the house we rented from them had so much water damage. It was like walking in a Funhouse. Terrible rental and terrible service! Don’t waste your hard earned money!

Our family stayed at the Sandcastle by the Sea during the first week of August 2023. Upon arrival, we expressed our concerns that the 2nd floor was over 80 degrees. Maintenance came on Saturday evening, said the house needed to just cool off which it never did. Sunday they came and said that we needed to wash the unit down. I guess they thought we wanted to work on our unit while on vacation. Monday they were back again to look at the unit and decided that it would need to be replaced. Tuesday the home owners approved the replacement. That is when the chillers were brought in. Wednesday they can and made the repairs. Meanwhile, the 2nd floor still was 80+ degrees every night. That night it still didn't cool off because it had been off all day long. Thursday night it was 78 degrees when we went to bed and Friday night it was 76 degrees when we went to bed. I spoke to your office everyday because they called me every morning and they sent the chillers but even the last night, the 2nd floor only cooled to 76 with the chillers and the new ac running at full capacity. By morning, the 2nd floor would cool off to around 75 but it is not exactly comfortable to go to sleep every night in 80+ degrees. The obviously knew there was a problem because there were box fans in every room on the 2nd floor. What multi-millon dollar home furnishes their bedrooms with box fans? I was patient with them and tried to make the best of the situation since we were on vacation but I was told that we were not due any compensation because I didn't keep submitting complaints even though the office knew of the ongoing problem. And because they replaced the unit on Wednesday, that was sufficient even though our stay was Saturday to Saturday.

Five star team does an amazing job. Property was spotless and in great shape. They respond quickly and check in all week. Would recommend.

Rented the penthouse, 1901 Silver Beach Towers. Paid a premium rental for a substandard unit. $12k for the week! The moment we walked in, noticed that the couch and chairs in the living room were very dirty. Filthy. Five Star Rentals sent some one out with a steam cleaner to clean them. Then the lights were out in the laundry room and the tv was shot in one of the bedrooms. Maintenance took care of these issues but why did they rent the unit in this condition? The unit has many other issues and is In need of a good cleaning. This penthouse has seen is better days! Definitely not penthouse quality and not worth $12 thousand a week. No parking available in the garage because the owners keep their 2 cars there. We had 10 guests and the rental company would only provide 3 fobs that are needed to access the building and pool. Quite inconvenient if somebody wanted to do something on their own, instead of being with the group to share the three key fobs.. the pictures online or misleading. Much nicer units at silver beach towers are available.

Unit 401 Crystal Dunes is the only rental unit I’ve ever rented in the last 10 yrs that does NOT include beach service! This is not a cheap unit. This is not a “budget” unit! This is either poor management or greedy owners! Owners get a discounted rated when they reserve beach service for their unit for the season. Instead I’m having to pay an extra $300 (on top of the $6,000 I’ve already paid for the week) for something that every other unit includes! Save yourself the headache and choose a different unit!

Very accommodating. Easy to contact with questions. The 2 houses we rented were cleaner than clean. Pools heated up fast. Inside and outside were well maintained.

The property exceeded our expectations, allowing the whole extended family to spend time together as well as having quiet time in the evenings with our immediate family. The chefs kitchen is topnotch! Swimming in the morning and relaxing in the the evenings definitely made it hard to go home. We will be requesting this property in the near future for sure. Thank you 5⭐️!

We have stayed at MAISON PAR LEAU multiple times now. Booked through their property management. We are satisfied with their timely manner if any issues arise. We accidentally locked ourselves out and they quickly came to our rescue. They make the everything easy and effortless. Thank you for all the great experiences. We will continue to use your service.
