A prompt and polite phone call to arrange pick up of my car and drop the rental car at a convenient day and time for me the day after the accident. They kept me informed as to what was happening with my car and dropped it back again at a convenient day for me. Everyone was courteous so couldn’t fault the service.

They collected my car after an accident and kept me fully informed of progress of the repairs, then delivered car back having done a brilliant repair and fully valeted. Well done all at Fix Auto Braintree.

Used them as they were nominated by my insurer Admiral. When I went to collect my car it was full of metal fallout, which was definitely not on the car before and instead of replacing a plastic part on the inside of the front bumper part of the repair, they glued it, it was an £80 part, I wish I could attach the image to show the state of the repair but can't here. When I opened a complaint with my insurer they then said this was a temporary repair to help me get back on the road. This was a lie, I drove my car a month after my accident and before I got my car into them, I was never told this would be a temporary repair, was in no documents, my insurer never was told in no communication either.

Unfortunately I did have to make a claim onto the courtesy car which they provided too, and when I went to collect my car they demanded the excess fee for the repairs of that vehicle too, when I told them that my insurer said I only need to pay it when the repairs of that vehicle are done they insisted I pay or leave my car there, when I made them call them to ask what they said they told my insurer I said I don't have money to pay but I told them it's the insurer who instructed me to pay later. When I told them they can sue me if I will never pay and that I will pay they said well yeah but you will take you car and never come back here, which goes against the point that my vehicle had a temporary repair.

Useless service, tried to take me for a fool, Financial Obdusman took care of the issues though for me, don't use them better use a local bodyshop.

EDIT: Your response again completely avoids addressing the actual issues and instead tries to downplay what happened.

1. Metal fallout: You keep referring to an engineer’s opinion that it “could’ve been caused by the railway track near my home” — yet Steer's premises, the bodyshop I used after you to sort your mess are right next to a railway track, with cars parked outside all day, and they do not have metal fallout.

2. Glued part instead of proper repair: You never addressed the fact that your team glued an £80 internal bumper component on a Mercedes rather than replacing it, then tried to justify it afterwards as a “temporary repair”, a claim that was later found dishonest by the Motor Ombudsman. There was never any mention, document, or agreement stating that this would be a temporary fix.

3. Excess payment bullying: You again twist what happened. I never refused to pay the excess , I simply followed my insurer’s instruction that it should be paid after the courtesy car repair was completed. Your staff told me I would have to leave my own car if I didn’t pay immediately, and even misrepresented my words to the insurer, saying I “didn’t have the money,” which was entirely false. That behaviour is not “excellent customer service,” it’s pressure and intimidation.

You can try to spin this however you want, but the facts are all documented and supported by both Admiral Insurance and the Motor Ombudsman. My only goal here is to warn others, no one should have to go through what I did just to get their car repaired properly. Avoid this company

Very quick in collecting my car, repairing it and delivering it back to me. It was flat backed both ways. I was kept fully up to date with everything. Very impressed and highly recommend them

Whole experience with Auto Fix, Braintree has been excellent. The repairs were done quickly & the car was delivered back to me. Car was also valeted before they returned it. I would happily recommend this company. The VDA, Adam O'Brien kept me up to date on every step of the repair process

Really excellent contact and performance

Our car went in for a recent repair. The staff that did the arrangements were efficient, friendly and prompt I. Email contact. The car was collected and returned after repair. The driver was very thorough and friendly in delivering a more than satisfactory courtesy car. The repairs were done quickly and the car returned as good as new.

They were my Insurance Company’s preferred garage and I can see why.
I was contacted promptly and asked to send photos of the damage and a few days later I was contacted to arrange Collection of the vehicle.
The vehicle was due an MOT and I was out of the country for 4 days so Megan agreed that they would arrange an MOT after the repair and I would rock up from the airport and collect the car and reimburse them for the MOT

Our insurers chose FixAuto and although initially we were puzzled why as they were quite far away from us, in the end a driver collected and dropped off the car again which was hugely appreciated. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and helpful and they even squeezed us in early after a cancellation. Very happy with the results - you would never know the car had been repaired. Bodywork pristine. Came back nice and clean, too. Really pleased with the service from end to end.

Highly impressed with the little time it took to fix my car. Was happy to pick up my car. Mentioned a noise whilst accelerating on top of the insurance issue I had and this was also fixed. Great costumer services overall.

I was unfortunate enough to have an accident with a dear 🙄 and Fix Auto Braintree were charged with fixing my car. The staff in the office were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The car they loaned was nearly new and very clean, I was also very impressed as the car arrived very quickly. They kept in contact with me and I’m very thankful. Would recommend this company.

What a pleasant change this business is, polite staff, all of them, professional communications and plenty of them. A refreshing pleasure to deal with them and need I say the quality of their work and attention to detail was excellent, which when combined with a prompt and timely service puts them way ahead of most. Even as far as arranging to return the repaired car when we could not collect with a polite and charming delivery driver. Well done.

No corners are cut with this firm, which is really good to see in this day and age. Our timing expectations were met, and we were advised at most stages of our repair.
