Great Experience

Picked up a car from Fleeto yesterday, and what a great service, Yaamin specially, helped me get all sorted and answered all my queries. Great customer support, even called me today asked how I was, if the car was all ok, if I had any issues etc. A++ experience so far, thank you Fleeto

Such a great experience so far


Such a great experience so far. The booking and pickup were quick and easy, the car is spotless and drives beautifully, and the staff have been genuinely friendly and helpful. Everything has been smooth and stress free very happy with this rental.

Why Does This Company Trade Under Multiple Names?pace . Fleeto. And so on


Be very careful before renting from Abdul and Yasmin.
They actively push customers to leave five-star reviews before you even receive the car, which is misleading and does not reflect the real experience.
After return, they inspect the vehicle with what feels like a magnifying glass and then charge excessive fees for the smallest issues.
They also immobilise vehicles and apply penalties for minor issues, including parking disputes, which leaves customers under pressure to pay immediately.
I have rented from many companies over the years, and this has been by far the worst experience. The practices feel designed to generate extra charges rather than provide fair service.
Please read the other reviews carefully and make your own decision — but based on my experience, I would not recommend renting from this company. . The way reviews are handled feels more like a marketing exercise than a true reflection of service quality. Negative reviews receive replies, but in my experience, no meaningful action is taken to resolve the issues.please stay away.It is also my personal belief, based on what I have seen online, that this operation may be connected to several similarly named rental companies operating from the same area (including Pace Rentals and others linked to Freshwater Lane). In my view, this makes it harder for customers to see the full pattern of negative feedback when researching online

Vehicle inspections are a standard part of the return process and are conducted in line with the hire agreement to ensure vehicles are returned in the appropriate condition. Any applicable charges are clearly outlined within the terms agreed at the start of hire.

Immobilisation is only ever used in serious circumstances, such as significant contractual breaches or unresolved outstanding matters, and would not be applied for minor issues.

Vehicle immobilisation is only used in serious circumstances, such as unresolved contractual breaches or significant outstanding matters. It is not applied without reason and follows the terms agreed within the hire agreement.

They were very helpful with the…

They were very helpful with the vehicle; we didn't encounter any difficulties. They had our car ready while we were finishing our coffees. Hamza and Yamin were very helpful and friendly, making us feel like we were at our own workplace. Today, Mofazul called to ask if everything was alright and if I was satisfied with the vehicle. You feel more confident in a service like this. Thank you, Fleeto team.

Unfair Charges & Deposit Refused — Very Poor Service

I hired an MG HS from Fleeto (Simple Self Drive) on 11/12/2025. Due to the vehicle being very poor on fuel efficiency which i wasn't advised about, I returned the car early on 17/12/2025 and Fleeto was unable to supply me with another vehicle and then i requested my refundable £250 deposit.

That is when Fleeto refused to refund it, claiming that I had breached the contract but i had returned the vehicle on the 6th day of hire. They stated they do not recognise the 14-day cooling-off period and then added unfair charges, saying I must pay for an extra two weeks after the vehicle had already been returned.

What makes this worse is that their own agreement does not state anything about having to pay additional weeks after returning the car, nor does it clearly explain why a refundable deposit can be withheld in this situation.

Customer service was extremely poor — dismissive, unhelpful, and unwilling to provide clear explanations or point to any valid contract clause. Charges were added after the vehicle was handed back, which feels completely unjustified.

In my opinion, this company operates in a misleading and unfair way and ignores UK consumer laws and regulations. Based on my experience, this feels like a scam, where deposits are withheld using questionable claims of “breach of contract”.

I strongly advise others to be very cautious and keep all written evidence before dealing with Fleeto (Simple Self Drive).

Choose your self a more responsible firm instead of this company that makes its own rules my advice to Uber drivers.

Thank you for your review. We understand your frustration; however, we would like to respond with the full context for clarity.

You collected the vehicle last week after requesting a Kia Niro, which was not available at the time. Before collection, our sales team clearly explained that the MG HS is less fuel-efficient than a Kia Niro, and this was acknowledged before you agreed to proceed, understanding it was the only vehicle available.

After using the vehicle, you returned this week and requested to end the hire due to fuel consumption. Despite limited availability, we made several reasonable attempts to assist, including offering a future vehicle swap, a Kia Niro option, and a Toyota Prius at a reduced rate. All options were declined, and you chose to end the hire early.

We always try to resolve situations fairly and avoid retaining deposits wherever possible. However, in this case, the vehicle was returned without prior agreement, and the hire was ended unilaterally. You also requested a refund not only of the deposit, but of hire charges for the days the vehicle was used, during which it was driven well above average mileage, which was not reasonable or in line with the agreement. We have agreed to reduce the breach charge and retain half the deposit amount only.

Short-term rental agreements do not include a 7- or 14-day cooling-off period, and early termination terms are clearly set out in the signed agreement (Clause 9.1). These terms were explained and shown directly from your own documents.

The deposit is refundable only when the agreement is completed in line with its terms. The charges applied reflect the minimum hire commitment agreed at the outset, not fees added after the vehicle was returned.
