Carpet/vinyl fitting (completed 19 March 2026)
Both the store manager (Steve) and the carpet fitter were consistently helpful, friendly and reliable throughout the process. They stayed in touch and showed up exactly as agreed. I'd arranged to have a stairlift removed and quickly reinstalled during the fitting, so was grateful for their patience, helpfulness and common sense about this! (It COULD have been a massive headache, but wasn't!) Would have no hesitation in recommending this store.

I wasn't told in store when I placed my…
I wasn't told in store when I placed my order that I would need to pay the fitter a separate price! It was highlighted on my invoice but at no point were we told about this. It was pretty embarrassing when the fitter asked for his money!

We have spoken with the store team, and they have confirmed that the fitting charge was highlighted on your invoice and explained at the time of placing the order.
Our intention is always to be completely transparent about all costs from the outset, and we’re sorry that this situation has left you feeling disappointed.

100% recommend the Floorstore Wakefield branch to anyone and everyone. i had two unwell children at home and had previously bought flooring from them. I gave them a ring and spoke with Colin and he was able to tell me exactly what i would need, how much etc. He even sent me photos of the floors they had in stock via email so we could discuss prior to going down and seeing them. Really helpful as always! Can't wait to have them fitted now

Visited the Wakefield store today and was greeted by Andrew. He was so helpful. He asked us a few questions to get to know what we were looking for and gave us help and advice. He wasn't pushy, didn't try to 'upsell' us and there was no pressure.

Great experience with Floorstore, Wakefield.
Steve in the store was extremely helpful and guided us through the different types of flooring and helped us choose the best one for us. Very friendly and not too pushy.
Nigel did a fantastic job of fitting the flooring. Looks absolutely awesome.
Would highly recommend.
