I’m currently learning and studying for my written private pilot test and find the material great. I’ve called several times and spoke with Jon personally and find this most impressive. I’ve emailed with questions and they are followed up with an answer. I would recommend their program to everyone who is looking for real world aviation examples. I’m 60 hours into my private pilot training and wish I had started here first. Fantastic job with putting together your training material.

I used the Private Pilot course and it was very organized and clear. If I needed to review anything it was very easy to go back and find exactly what I was looking for.

I am in a program that teaches me great content and piloting skills, but doesn't really give me any EXAMPLES of what to expect in my CFI checkride. I found Jon's CFI oral at Lufthansa in Goodyear, AZ EXTREMELY helpful. It turned out that my DPE had different expectations of me than Jon's; he wanted me to just teach more than have a Q&A session. But, to see examples of how to discuss the different elements of each area of operation and how to intertwine some elements of even different areas of operations was incredibly helpful to get me more prepared and ultimately more relaxed and comfortable teaching these tasks. The series of videos for this oral exam are lengthy (my oral exam was 8 hours long, so these are shorter in comparison), but well worth the watch! Take notes!

I have been following FLY8MA.com for a while now and I could always rely upon their explanations or clarifications whenever I was kind of confused. These guys will without any doubt get you through any aviation training with such a simplicity but very efficient explanations. I got my private pilot as well as my instrument rating with such an easiness thanks to FLY8MA.com. You really have to blindly trust them or you gonna miss something !!! Now unfortunately I am back in Belgium and things are tougher over here. We do not have such people to explain things the way it should !!! Anyway, I am really grateful for having the pleasure to watch outstanding videos, learn extremely relevant tips and information. So grateful. Thank you ever so much guys you ROCK.

If you want a course to get your instrument rating… This is the one to get! I’m a 67-year-old private pilot who got my license when I was in high school and now, after being retired, I am ready to go into fullbore aviation fun! John‘s videos are short & to the point, with no messing around. Easy to understand and if you don’t get it, email him, or call him, and you will get a response very quickly. I am highly impressed.

Fly8MA made my private pilot checkride a breeze! Great videos with amazing details and explains all you need to know for both your written and checkride. Was recommended this by my CFI and wasn’t disappointed!

Thanks to FLY8MA I recently passed both my written test as well as my check ride for helicopter. The video lessons are great and they really made the materials easy to understand. They allowed me to learned all the materials in less time than I had expected. Many of the tips are helpful even after getting my certificate. Thanks Jon!

Great ground school! It was easy to understand and straight to the point. The best part though was the structure and format of it and that I remembered and truly understood what the content was, not just rote memorization.

Fly8MA proved to be a great Private Pilot ground school product for me. I thought the lessons were presented in a no-nonsense fashion, were high quality, and prepared you well, not only to pass the private pilot knowledge exam with a great score but also gave you insight into the Checkride! Passed both with flying colors!

Jon is truly a walking aviation encyclopedia. I've never met an individual who spends so much time keeping up on regulatory and advisory circular changes. Perfect for self-studying students (probably for others too). I have done my ground school myself and Fly8MA videos combined with the FAA book about Aeronautical knowledge helped me ace an 92% on my written!

I hadn’t flown for over 20 years. Jon and the FLY8MA team got me back up to speed. Very good videos and courses. A few hours later I felt confident enough to take some dual flight instruction and soon got my wings back! Thanks for the very useful and clearly articulated content!

I was a rusty pilot it was about 9 years since I flew last. Thanks to Fly8ma.com I was able to take a refresher course free I might add it gave me the confidence to contact my local flight school and get checked out about 6 hours later I was back in command of my own plane. Thank you very much for giving so much information for free and it was quality information. I highly recommend anybody aspiring to become a pilot to check out their many courses I know if I choose to advance my rating I will be looking no further. Thank you!!!

Jon's videos are an excellent resource for preparing you for your oral and practical exam! I was fully prepared for all of the questions and scenarios my DPE gave me.

I am 2/3 through the private pilot course. I love the videos and learn more every time I watch them. Last night I couldn’t log in called the phone number on the site about 9 pm. I didn’t really expect to get a person but to my surprise Jon answered the phone and fixed my problem. I really recommend this program.

Love the way you train. I can retain it much better then reading from the books. I have not started my flying yet can’t get started till need month.
