What an amazing experience we had today, first time flying with fly Dubai. We used the Sharjah city check in service, checked in we seen large suitcases at the Sharjah fly Dubai office. We were greeted by Aslam and Shamsir who were our check in hosts. They took our bags and provided us with drinks, chairs and seating and amazing compassion. We checked in our bags within 15minuets and were free to use our last day in Dubai for more shopping 🙂. What an amazing and refreshing service we received. We highly recommend you use Fly Dubai and as usual Dubai leading the world in hospitality for their guests. Ten out of ten.

I am writing this review hoping some improvements on booking can be made. I booked my ticket and paid almost 2000 AED, inclusive of VAT. Upon my travel, I was informed I only had baggage allowance on the return flight. I have been booking with KQ and Emirates, and baggage is always included unless I want additional. Mark you, I paid almost 2k. On that count, I requested help because when I saw "baggage 47kg," I thought it was for both ways. The lady sent me to the ticketing desk, and the guy showed no concern at all. I informed him what had happened, and he was like, "The option is..." I asked what I could do since while I was booking, I got confused with the KGs that were stated on the return ticket, but his reply was "no option." I went back to the ticket area; the lady was really kind and helpful. She removed 2kgs, which I ended up paying 1280aed for, meaning in total I paid 3,260aed for a flight to Kenya. I hope your website can be like Emirates or KQ, where a certain number of kgs are default unless additional is needed.Thank you.

FlyDubai is one of the worst airlines I have ever dealt with.
The level of service is absolutely unacceptable. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and completely uninformed — they are unable to answer basic questions or provide any real assistance.
My flight was cancelled for two full days, and the airline did nothing to take responsibility for this situation. No hotel was provided, no proper explanation, no support, no care for passengers who were left stranded because of their failure. You are simply abandoned and expected to solve everything on your own.
This is not how a professional airline operates. Cancelling a ticket for days without offering accommodation, compensation, or even basic courtesy is outrageous. FlyDubai shows zero respect for its passengers and their time.
I strongly do not recommend this airline to anyone. Extremely poor service, incompetent staff, and complete disregard for customer rights. FlyDubai should seriously reconsider its standards — if it has any at all.

Unacceptable baggage handling

Flight FlyDubai 1681 from Dubai to Naples, at Naples Capodichino Airport.

Passengers have been waiting for more than two hours for their luggage after landing, with no baggage delivered and no information provided by the airline or ground staff.

This situation caused serious discomfort and shows a complete lack of organization and respect for passengers.

Very poor experience. I do not recommend FlyDubai.

I had an extremely disappointing experience on my recent flight from Dubai (DXB) to Alexandria.

I was charged an additional fee for my hand luggage because I was carrying a duty-free shopping bag.

When I requested clarification regarding the charge for the duty-free items, I was informed that this policy applies to certain destinations. However, no official list or prior notification of such destinations was provided, making this explanation vague and unclear.

Furthermore, after paying the extra fees and despite clearly informing the staff that my cabin luggage contained fragile items, I was required to check it in. The primary reason for carrying cabin luggage is to safely transport fragile belongings.

It is also important to note that my originally checked baggage was well below the 30 kg allowance included in my booking.

Overall, this experience was highly unsatisfactory and does not meet the standards of service I would expect.

FlyDubai is a hard no-go for my family and me. FlyDubai must be the only airline that considers a handbag additional luggage. So apparently, when your ticket says 7kg, it includes the Hand Trolley and Handbag... My daughter was forced to pay extra for a 1.9kg Handbag, the amount was almost as much as the one-way ticket. We avoid this Airline at all cost.

Yesterday I had the first flight with the airline, and I was pleasantly impressed! FZ1295 DXB to PSA on 2 December.

I just wanted to mention that the flight crew was very nice, helpful, and welcoming, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. I would like to give thanks to Safa, she was especially kind.

The WhatsApp updates received were especially helpful (I'm surprised that other airlines don't do the same).

The only thing that was a bit strange, and I'm unsure if it's just airport policy, but I had my passport and ticket checked way too many times. First at the gate itself, then when entering the bus, then when existing the bus, then finally when boarding the plane. I just thought that's a bit excessive.

Very disappointed with Fly Dubai. My luggage was returned in a severely damaged condition with multiple deep scratches, clearly caused by careless handling. This level of unprofessionalism from the baggage staff is unacceptable. If an airline cannot ensure basic care for passengers’ belongings, it raises serious concern about their overall service standards. I expected much better from Fly Dubai.

Normalerweise schreibe ich keine Kommentare, aber entgegen der negativen Kritiken muss ich hier mal meine Erfahrungen zum letzten Flug mit flydubai teilen, da ich mich fast davon beeinflussen hätte lassen. Die Flüge liefen alle reibungslos ab das Essen und Service war exzellent und wir kamen sogar ein bisschen früher am Ziel an.

I had to cancel my flight and was expecting a refund. The cancellation page displayed the refund amount in US dollars, and at no point did it mention that the refund would be issued as vouchers. There was no prior information, nor was anything stated in the terms and conditions regarding vouchers for this type of refund. After I clicked confirm, I was issued only a voucher instead of the monetary refund that was shown. I would like this to be reviewed as the process was unclear and misleading.

Eine reine Abzocke mit schlechtem Service. Man muss für alles zahlen. Sogar für völlig normale Sitze. Was soll man machen? Wie im Bus stehen um Zusatzkosten zu vermeiden? Man wird transportiert, aber das wird Vieh auch.
Tip an flydubai, zusätzlich die Toilettennutzung bezahlen lassen. Oder gibt's das schon?
Wie ist es mit Atemluft? Die ersten 500 Atemzüge sind frei,alle weiteren kosten bzw werden berechnet (gegen Vorkasse), schließlich wird die Klimaanlage genutzt. Wenn die Vorkasse nicht reicht muss nachgezahlt werden oder....naja....flydubai und hoffe, dass gut geht.

I’m deeply disappointed with my repeated experiences on Flydubai. Despite positioning themselves as aligned with Emirates, the service simply doesn’t compare. For two years in a row my luggage lock was broken on their flights, and after countless emails I was simply told to go contact the police—without confirmation of whether the damage happened at departure or arrival. Airport staff were rude and unhelpful. Honestly, I expected far better.

I hope other travellers will take note.

I was traveling with a relative and his 9 year old son,
in Business, TLV-DXB on 25.March 2025 and DXB-TLV
on 4.April 2025.
Both flights were a pleasure from start to finish.
The staff were brilliant, the food was delicious, the seats were very comfortable. Flying from Dubai home to Tel Aviv was much easier but we have a bit of a situation at present, so it is understandable.

Die Economy Class bei FlyDubai ist wirklich zu 100 % ernst gemeint.

Positive Punkte:
Die Flugzeuge sind relativ neu.
Das Essen ist wirklich gut.

Negative Punkte, und das sind jetzt auch sehr viele:
Der Sitzkomfort und das Platzangebot sind wirklich katastrophal. Wer das freigegeben hat, saß selbst nicht länger als 10 Minuten in so einem Sitz.
Ich bin 1,73 m groß, 75 kg schwer und ich komme gerade so in den Sitz hinein. Beinfreiheit ist gleich 0, meine Knie waren an den Vordersitz angeschlagen. Der Abstand vom vorderen Sitz bis zu meinem Gesicht beträgt genau 28 Zentimeter (ich habe es gemessen). Und wehe, der Vordersitz wird nach hinten gelehnt, dann hast du knapp 22 cm zwischen Gesicht und Sitz.

Bei einem kurzen Flug von weniger als zwei Stunden kann ich damit leben, aber einen 6-stündigen Flug von Basel nach Dubai würde ich niemandem empfehlen.

Beim Rückflug hatte ich das „Vergnügen”, direkt eine Reihe vor dem Notausgang zu sitzen. Das ist das Schlimmste, was dir passieren kann, denn du kannst deinen Sitz wegen der Notausgänge nicht zurücklehnen, aber die vor dir können ihren Sitz wieder zurücklehnen. Nach sechs Stunden Flug habe ich den Bildschirm mit der Nasenspitze berührt.
Das ist wirklich katastrophal.

Wenn du auf die Toilette musst, ist, denke ich, jede Gefängnis-Toilette größer. Du kannst dich in der Toilette gerade noch so drehen, um draufzusitzen, das Waschbecken ist im Spielzeugformat, sodass alles daneben spritzt.

Der Bildschirm ist das Einzige, was hochwertig ist, aber mehr als billige und sehr alte Spiele kannst du hier nicht machen. Für Filme muss man bezahlen, ich finde, das ist einfach eine Frechheit.

Liebes Fly-Dubai-Team.
Wenn ihr ein paar Sitze herausnehmen würdet, sodass pro Reihe ca. 15–20 cm mehr Platz wären, würde eure Flotte beliebter werden.
Ich würde euch empfehlen, das Filme schauen für Langflüge freizuschalten.

Ich bin jetzt einmal mit euch geflogen und werde nie wieder mit FlyDubai fliegen. Ich werde jedem davon abraten.

Geld ist nicht alles, die Menschen wünschen sich Komfort und kein Gefängnis.

Fly Dubai Awful! With the name Dubai in the title what a let down. Awful trip. No drinks unless you pay. Awful breakfast food. It took them ages to clear the plates . You sat there in tiny seats for an hour before they cleared it!!!
This is an airline connected to Emirates to get to the smaller islands ie. Zanzibar

Worse airlines in History, i was at danger and they didn't care, don't fly if your not arab

Scrivo una recensione perché voglio tranquillizzare tutti quelli che, leggendo prima le recensioni della compagnia, rischiano di farsi pare per il nulla.
Volo bergamo-dubai-zanzibar e viceversa, orario perfetto sempre, personale gentile, cibo servito ad ogni tratta con bevande incluse, valigie non perse, check-in semplice online fatto pure da zanzibar con una connessione infernale. Avevo anche l’ansia dell’intrattenimento, ma gli aerei erano nuovi e il computerino aveva gratis la musica e i giochi, i film ovviamente erano a pagamento ma non penso sia una cosa cosí rara.
Unica pecca i sedili che sono davvero stretti, per un volo lungo che supera le 5 ore si sta scomodi, ma questa cosa la avevo immaginato essendo una compagnia low cost.
Magari siamo stati fortunati, ma con questa tratta abbiamo preso questi aerei 4 volte e, scomodità a parte, siamo sempre stati bene
