The update is so slow.

The font auto-activation plugin update for the latest version of InDesign has been ongoing for a month! Other InDesign plugins were updated within a few days! This is ridiculous!
And yes – I’m talking about the paid version. This level of delay is simply not acceptable when money is involved.

I use it almost daily

I use it almost daily. It's an invaluable tool to prevent having thousands of typefaces clogging up my system. I can simply switch on and off collections as I switch between client projects.

Fontbase saved me

Fontbase saved me.

I was working on a design in illustrator on Windows 10, and I received a font pack with a bunch of different styles for one family and for whatever reason, Windows wouldn’t load all of the fonts in the family. It would only install like three styles out of, like, 27. And never the ones I needed.

I tried everything. Manually adding the fonts one-by-one, resetting my PC, etc.

Long story short, the only thing that actually worked was installing Fontbase and putting all of the fonts on there, and keeping the app running while I work.

Overall

Overall, I like the app. Much cleaner than Extensis for sure. I do wish the updates were more in line with the Adobe releases. It's frustrating to not have auto-activation plugins that work, but at this price, I shouldn't complain.
