I found the training to be very informative about the assessment process and the importance of due diligence during the assessment of potential Foster Carers.

The tutor was experienced and knowledgeable in this field, which enabled them to answer questions raised about the whys, whats and what nots...

I have already recommended the training to another and will again if asked.

I attended on line training on a Saturday morning. Not how I would usually spend my time on the weekend. But I was pleased I did. The trainer was knowledgable and easy to listen to. The group was made up of experienced social workers who were eager to be involved. I enjoyed it very much.

The trainer was amazing, I did not feel like I was asking too many questions or that my questions/ answers were silly. I have recommended this training to many of my colleagues already and have emphasised that they complete it though Sirius! I left the training feeling refreshed and most importantly equipped and ready to begin completing form f assessments. I also want to add how it can feel daunting from the offset having to complete training on a Saturday morning but honestly, the time went so quick. The training was filled with so many different professionals with a range of experience from different teams and that alone was so refreshing and added to the overall knowledge acquired. If you are thinking of doing this training please do it, it’s 100% worth the money!!

When I woke up on a Saturday to do training after working a busy week I was not looking forward for the day ahead. However, this training session was really interesting. The trainer Shaun was very knowledgeable and often encouraged discussion, which was great. The hours went quick and I felt like I was truly learning. Definitely recommend.

Undertaking the Form F assessment was a great experience and although it was done online it went smoothly and everyone was able to interact.
The day was set up well and the trainer was very experienced.

Well presented easy to follow , would recommend.

Very informative course and interactive. Really enjoyed the day and felt very inspired by the end of this to move forwards with carrying out Form F assessments.

This was excellent training and gave a comprehensive overview of Form F training in a day, while also leaving me feeling well equipped to take on the assessments. The trainer also gave some helpful advice on getting work as a Form F assessor. I would highly recommend this training (done via Zoom, Feb 2021).

Really good quality materials received before hand including a copy of the Handbook as well as useful exemplars, case studies and a social work toolkit.

Excellent training session. Even though it was via Zoom it was very interactive and I learned a lot both from Shaun (trainer) and also the other trainees; new ideas and things I can put into practice in my assessments. Will definitely be recommending to colleagues.

The tutor was very knowledgeable and the course very informative. The documentation revived for the course was very detailed and useful in understanding Form F assessing. The tutor was able to answer all questions posed. I'm glad I did the course.

Excellent training - it was delivered exceptionally well. It exceeded all of my expectations as it was informative, allowed suitable reflection and partnership working with other trainees. We all pitched in at various points when looking at case studies or snippets from a well known Netflix series as well as reflecting on key lessons from serious case reviews.

I would recommend to every social worker as it not only provides the foundation for how to complete a form f assessment robustly but also allows for fine tuning of any current fostering assessors who already work within this remit.

The most enjoyable training I have had for many years. Maintained interest throughout and the trainer was approachable and interactive at the right times managing the group well also. Highly recommended.

Lots of good dialogue in the workshop that made it very interesting.

Course achieved what i was expecting. I enjoyed very much listening to others perspectives and their knowledge. Very interesting working with different people from a range of backgrounds and roles.
I did,nt think it would work with so many people, but i was pleasantly surprised how well it did work.
I learnt alot and particularly how important it was to undertake a robust assessment covering all areas of family backgrounds even if you think it not important, also to research intersted parties and identify and look into issues that appear relavent so that Panels are able to see that all areas are well covered and assessed, for example, sexual abuse in the family, ascertain whether this has been addressed and whether you feel there are any risks to their fostering role, being open and honest about whether you feel any applicants should not continue to be assessed. At the forefront of the assessment are the children they will be caring for in the future.
