Appalling customer service
I am to my detriment a loyal Garmin customer, and to be fair they were in the past quite helpful, however, in recent years they will do anything other than either admit there is a fault or help you as a customer out, I purchased a pair of Power Pedals at a cost of £990 they failed to calibrate, Garmin replaced them within the warranty period, but the second pair also failed to calibrate, but after the warranty period, they were only used for 5K miles, I reached out to Garmin for help, their solution is "trade in trade up", where I send in my faulty £990 Pedals and receive a 30% discount on a new pair, negating the fact that the pedal bodies I'll be returning are worth more than the discount, this fact seemed to be lost on Customer Service, that was the end of the conversation, no more help was forthcoming.
Company relies on prior excellence to deliver now poor quality at the same high price
I have been a loyal Garmin user for many years however my recent £350 watch has failed unreasonably early and they refused a repair or refurbished replacement (because the item was discontinued as though their choice was my fault) the best they offered me was a 30% discount on a new product (not compatible with any other offer so quite a poor discount overall) i suspect they are a once great brand coasting on prior trust and brand loyalty while they sharply drop the quality of their products keeping the high price tag obviously and I'm not convinced this isn't against consumer rights law.

I had a very poor customer experience when shopping with Garmin. My product failed to be delivered. Garmin acknowledged their failure to deliver the product, but were unwilling to offer me a timely refund until the product was returned. I will not purchase from Garmin again.

Great smart watches, Predatory customer service
Great smart watches, havenât had an issue . However, the first time I have to use customer support for a $300 titanium watch band which lost screws time and time again (almost losing my watch completely in a few cases as it was a divers band,) they could not provide replacement screws for the links (which every jeweler I contacted could not replace) and could only offer I buy a new one at 10% off. Incredibly disappointed as the band was even a year old and I would have to spend another $270 plus tax⊠for what is probably a $0.03 part. Almost seems by design, like the flaw in the screws of the band is intentional⊠so you need to buy a new one or a whole new watch for that matterâŠ

Worthless updates to our Honda CRV
The updates we pay for on our CRV are worthless. I called Garmin to complain, and was told that if I did not like the updates, I shouldn't get them.

I looked on the site to get product info on the Forerunner 255 smart watch and it told me it had built-in music storage so I bought one - not from Garmin- because my son didn't want to take his phone with him on a run. When he tried to set it up it became apparent it DOESN'T have built-in music storage only the 255 Music does. When I contacted Garmin they basically said sorry it's wrong but nothing we can do about it. How about making sure the information on YOUR website about YOUR products is correct? Useless!
I have purchased an epic pro 2
I have purchased an epic pro 2, I did this for additional and improved fitness information including apps used for tennis that no other watch company does. I was very worried about the large purchase cost but assured by the high level of metrics I'd gain I went for it. There are many good and bad points. The user interface is not friendly and feels very antiquated, also the HR monitor is very poor, constantly shifts loosing the rate then finding again during workouts. The workouts and apps are very good and this is the main feature I like, tracking accurate on water and land. Swimming metrics very good also. I cannot recommend though due to the high price and poor sensors which are key to fitness analytics

I bought a Garmin Fenix 8 51mm and returned it after two days. It was a week before they received it and now theyâre claiming they havenât received it. They wonât give me a refund so Iâve lost £869. Customer services have been incredibly rude and seem completely indifferent to my loss of money and the watch.

I caught a fraud charge on my card the day of the fraudulent transaction and notified Garmin and they did nothing. They did not check the order to see if the the card matched the billing and shipping address associated with my card. Although my bank issued a new card and refunded the charge, Garmin shipped the $317.00 watch to the perpetrator any way. Donât trust Garmin with your Credit Card information!!!

Ho quindi chiesto di poter rendere il prodotto, ma mi Ú stato detto (dal negozio) che non essendo la confezione integra, ciò non Ú possibile, a meno che Garmin non mettesse a disposizione del negozio gli elementi mancanti della confezione, cosa che Garmin ha declinato di fare. In sostanza non solo mi Ú stata data un'informazione tecnica sbagliata, ma poi Garmin (che dovrebbe assicurarsi della competenza tecnica dei commessi dei negozi che espongono il suo marchio) ha declinato di consentire al negozio di accettare il reso per via di un pezzo di cartoncino mancante. 1044,99 Euro buttati via. L'esperienza Ú stata quindi pessima.
Warranty? They don't know her
My watch face cracked after six weeks - it wasn't dropped, it didn't have anything dropped on it, I didn't bang my arm against anything, I just wore it on my wrist like a normal person and swam in an indoor pool a couple times a week.
But the screen cracked, the support rep said it must be my fault and directed me to a site outlining Garmin's policy that any damage to any item at any time is never their problem. Then she told me I could send it in and exchange it for a new one if I paid an amount that was half the watch's original cost.

Bought a vivomove sport in April and it's completely dysfunctional 6 months later. Went for a run, bumped into someone gently and the watch face completely shattered making the product unusable. Got in touch with the Garmin team to rectify this and was deeply dissatisfied with the results, essentially saying I could replace the watch for near what I paid for it! When I queried this I was met with silence, customer service is terrible.
Not only that, but in the brief months I had the watch, I found that it ran out of battery quickly, and the GPS function was completely inadequate! It couldn't remotely track where I was despite numerous attempts and therefore served no purpose beyond being an overpriced step-counter.
If you're going for a Garmin, invest in something of better quality. Despite the name this is NOT fit for sport.

Two Months After Purchase My Garmin Died â And the Real Trouble Began
I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with Garminâs product quality and after-sales service.
I purchased a Garmin watch in Thailand about a year ago. After only two months of normal use, the watch completely stopped working. Since I live in China, I contacted Garmin there to claim the warranty. To my surprise, I was told the warranty would not be honored in China, even though Garmin is a global brand. I was informed that I had to fly back to Thailand to use my warranty. This was both unreasonable and highly inconvenient.
When I finally returned to Thailand, after endless fights on the phone with costumer service, Garmin replaced my device with what seemed an old watch from one of their shops and even attached the old straps from the brokem watch to the "new" one. A few months later, I accidentally dropped the replacement watch and tried to get it repaired. In China, Garmin told me it would be extremely expensive since the product was not purchased locally. In Thailand, I was told the repair would take several days â something I could not accommodate during my short stay.
At every step, Garminâs customer service has been rigid, unhelpful, and lacking basic empathy for the customer experience. Instead of being a reliable and trusted brand, Garmin has shown inflexibility, poor communication, and no willingness to support loyal customers living abroad.
This experience has been frustrating from start to finish, and I regret ever choosing Garmin. I strongly advise others to think twice before buying Garmin, especially if they expect fair warranty policies and reliable after-sales service.
