I LOVED the original Bergamot detergent and used it for special events, such as washing my daughter’s sheets when she came home from college. I ordered the Bergamot Beach and it smells awful, like cheap perfume. This is an expensive detergent that used to be worth the splurge, but not with the new scent. I am extremely disappointed!

What a scam .after buying different scents in the past I bought a new scent recently and never again .no smell at all even after adding extra detergent sheets.was told they didn’t change the technology .not washing good at all .clothes is softer but not cleaner . Needs to be rewashed .such a disappointment

Doesn’t clean clothes as good as I thought it would.. the pump is the reason I won’t order again. It’s impossible to open; I have to unscrew the lid each time and pour it out. Will go back to Buff City Soap brand

Customer service was unhelpful when I tried to resolve an issue with my order. Very frustrating experience.

Is this a scam???

I bought a big box of detergent sheets. I am disappointed that there is no fragrance on the laundry. I expected at least some hint of it. I even tried 2 sheets for a normal size load. Nothing. Very disappointed. Would not order again.

I have been a loyal customer, 2.5 years of exclusively buying Frey laundry Bergamot Beach laundry soap, softener, booster and dryer sheets, I just ordered the new 2.0 Frey bergamot beach scent and used it for the first time the other day. WHAT HAPPENED!! It smells terrible. Smells like cheap dyer sheets. Just lost a loyal buyer.

I just finally opened the new 2.0 Begamont beach detergent because I had a few of the old formula left. What the hell happened to the nice scent. It stinks, I do not like this new smell, why did you change it? even the scent booster stinks.

very disappointed. The price is ridiculous for what I got. First of all, the package arrived with a bottle slightly open and so there was syrupy goo all over the box. Then... I get start my first load and I come to find that the darn bottle doesn't 'pump'- I did everything I could to get the pump to work- no luck. So, I have to open the old fashioned way and 'guestimate' how much to use. Lastly, when I get my clothes out- minimum smell- nothing different from the detergent you get from the grocery for about 1/10th the price- this is a scam!!!!!

I was so excited to get my Frey laundry sheets. I ordered 2 boxes of Jasmine Meadows because the description of the scent sounded absolutely wonderful. I am very disappointed. The sheets smell wonderful while they are in the box, but when I used them in my laundry, the scent was lost. Next load, I used 2 sheets. Same thing. These were medium loads and with my other sheets, 1/2 to 1 sheet works well. I’m also disappointed in the “cleaning power” of the sheets. Last thing, the sheets don’t dissolve very easy in cool water.
I’m sure I’ll use them on rugs and maybe in my bleach laundry, but I won’t use them on the clothes that we wear.

I received my order and I must admit it does smell good. However my package arrived damaged & when I tried to request a replacement for the defective bottle I was informed I would have to sign up for a $57.00 a year membership which I could cancel after the first billing cycle to be put in contact with a technician to help resolve my dilemma. If your like me I always forget to cancel those memberships & get stuck paying for it. What kind of company charges their customers first a return or replacement? Buyer Beware!!! I already reported them to the BBB.

I’ve been a customer for over 3+ years. Frey has had an over the top fantastic smell. Yesterday I received the “Frey 2.0” and I can’t believe it. This actually *stinks*. There is ZERO Cedar Grove scent. It really smells like the worst dollar store detergent imaginable. I am completely disappointed and honestly shocked. The new version was supposed to be an improvement in the concentrated scent - or at least the is what I was lead to believe. In reality I now have 5 bottles of stinky detergent I want to return and receive my money back. Even the dryer sheets are horrible. So disappointing.

My wife made me plenty of time to buy a laundry machine, but I have never understood why they are worth buying? In my opinion, it's better to carry all the clothes to the nearby laundry, pay for the cleaning a small sum of money and wear brand new and stunning clothes. I use the services from this laundry as it's nearby my house and moreover the attitude of the personnel here is quite respectful. At least I have never faced any weird situations or maybe argues with the personnel. They can find the approach to any kind of person, especially to such stubborn ones like me. Highly appreciate such attitude.

The detergent sheets seem to work well, but there is absolutely no smell on my clothes after washing. Before hand the sheets smelled amazing but it didn’t stay on my clothes at all, so they smell like when I use fragrance free detergent. I got it specifically for the smell so it was disappointing.

Please STOP. I bought a box of the laundry sheets, in which I was very disappointed. I wrote to your company and someone sent a bottle of worthless "scent booster". My clothes, at best, smell like nothing. I don't like your product and don't want to buy anymore, as I discussed earlier. So....when I found that you had taken more money out of my bank without asking for my non existent "subscription", I immediately stopped payment with the bank. They suggested I call you first, and it went straight to someone's personal AI voice mail. I tried the hellofrey link listed on your website, and it comes up as a broken link. My bank got involved after the payment went through, and I've blocked any further attempts to FREY pull out monthly money. Now today, I get a shipment from you guys. I will not pay now or any other time. Should I send the package back or throw it away?

Cannot fulfill orders - possible scam! Ordered over a month ago and I received a shipment notification a few weeks later indicating 3-6 day delivery. Weeks later, still nothing and customer service has indicated they are behind in orders and resent original tracking order that gives no timeline. Asking for immediate refund or shipment. Fingers crossed they honor this order or refund my money.

I absolutely love this company. They are so quick to respond to questions, the smell of their bergmont soaps reminds me of a place I stayed at in Amsterdam a few years ago! Also I had accidentally ordered the wrong softener and they replaced it within 2 days. They totally stand behind their product.

Terrible service, you can only communicate by email and they don’t respond. Sent products to Vail Valley post office. Vail USPS does not deliver mail (really). So the USPS sends it back. After weeks, Frey sends it again by United Parcel Service (UPS) who drops it off at the Post Office to deliver the “last mile”. USPS does not deliver the last mile so they send it back. I just sent another email, let’s see how long it takes. I ordered in August, it is now October!

My purpose of reaching out is to alert customers about the web-based laundry detergent company Frey. I placed an order with them on 1/22/23. As of 3/23/23 I had not yet received my order. I had reached out to Frey's customer service almost a dozen times, and their agents repeatedly stated they were having supply chain issues. Correspondence from them had been inconsistent, but any time I reached out for answers, they apologized, stated they were out of the products, were having difficulty with their supply chain, expected to have more product soon, thanked me for my patience, and promised my order would ship soon. This went on and on, over the course of two months. I finally decided to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. A few days before filing the complaint with them, I notified Frey about my plan to alert Better Business Bureau. Then suddenly on 3/24/23, my order was delivered, having been rushed by the company to my address.

In addition to my own personal concerns, I am concerned because Frey continues to sell on their website, despite their well-documented inability to fulfill these orders. They are selling products they don't have (and don't have the ability to make). When I went online again, I discovered my situation was not unique- I found dozens and dozens of reviews with the same theme: customers who purchased from Frey, but had not received the items they paid for- in many cases months had passed, like in my situation. Prior to telling Frey I was planning to file a complaint with Better Business Bureau, the last email I'd received from them was in early March 2023, stating they had sent my order, and providing a tracking number for my reference; however as of 3/23/23 (19 days later), tracking indicated UPS was not yet in possession of my order. Frey had clearly not handed my order over to UPS. Even though I’ve now received my order, I don't want this to happen to anyone else- and it's concerning to see Frey is attempting to continue operations as if they had the ability to fulfill orders.

I’m writing to prevent this from happening to anyone else- at least until Frey can resolve their supply chain issues. If they can resolve them, they might be able to turn things around. As an update, after I notified Frey that I filed a complaint with BBB, I received a very clipped email from Frey customer service announcing (suddenly) that they don't deliver to Hawai’i, but adding they would make a special accommodation for my order. This was another red flag, that after two months of correspondence they were only now claiming they don't ship to Hawai’i. The email was also in a very different style and tone, like someone else was writing it (they allegedly have less than 10 employees, so the owner may have been the author of this new response). Frey was well aware from the time I placed my order that I lived in Hawai’i- as I referenced it several times in my emails with them; specifically regarding how when I place orders online, they arrive from the mainland in days- not months (note that I live on the island of Oahu in the city of Honolulu, not on one of the more remote islands. I get mail and parcels here in Honolulu faster than when I lived in New York State). Thank you for the opportunity to review this concern to you.

I placed an order for 2 Fabric Softeners and 2 Dryer Sheets. The dryer sheets were fine. The fabric softener was actually detergent in fabric softener bottles. I have been using these products for years. I saw it right away! I contacted customer service. They were a bit slow to reply, it took around 3 days. They were quick to issue replacement product. The replacements? They were ALSO detergent in fabric softener bottles! Now, I suppose I wait to see if they respond again. Be wary and double check. If I got them, I am sure countless others did also!

Amanda was SO quick to assist me. While I loved the smell of our products, my babies are allergic and it caused them to get hives all over. She quickly cancelled my order and issued a refund for me. Quick, efficient, and kind! Such a great customer service experience. :)
