I had an extremely bad experience with this company. I bought a house in dunfermline for £80,000 in 2009 and they're the company that carried out the home report. They clearly overvalued the property at the time as it was worth in the region of £68,000 at that time. I sold the property in 2014 and did not get a penny back despite investing £18,000 in the refurbishment of the property. I even got advice from an estate agent that valued the property and they agreed with me the property was overvalued by Graham & Sibbald. I was on the verge of taken legal advice as the estate agent thought I'd have a case but with legal costs it put me off. I would like people to be aware of this as I don't want the same thing happening to other people and be out of pocket by several thousands of pounds.
I already discussed this with you at the time but you did not pay any attention whatsoever. I lost a lot of money renovating that property and got no money back for the effort I put in. Back in 2014 when i sold the property a professional estate agent thought your home report value was inflated at the time you carried out the home report back in 2009. I do not understand why you want to discuss it now when you couldn't careless when I highlighted the issue to you back in 2014. I lost several thousands of pounds due to your hone report value. I just want people to be aware, so they do not lose thousands of pounds purchasing a property that is overinflated in value by the surveyor.
