Horrendous service

Horrendous service, was told they have a 3-5 working day repair time, 10 days later still haven’t heard back from them. They then told me on the Monday my device was 4th in line and would be fixed that day, phoned back on Thursday as I’d not heard from them and they said it was just getting fixed
 do they only do one job a day?! 12+ days and waiting for a HDMI port to be fixed on my PS5, should of gone elsewhere would have had it back by now. Good luck phoning too I waited 25 mins on hold to be told ‘our technician has it he’ll email you an update’ the update was a note on my account saying ‘joe has your device’. Horrendously unhelpful, company has zero drive or urgency about them, they don’t stick to lead times and are always a 20min wait away on the phone. Wouldn’t recommend wasting your money here. PS5 still not back with me.

Your order arrived with us on the 23rd February. You spoke on the phone with one of our customer services team on the 5th working day your device was with us.
We advised at this time that we had a technician off sick, that this was unfortunately out of our control and that we were running a few days over our turnaround time due to this (it does state within our terms and conditions you agreed to upon placing your order that our turnaround times may be affected during busy periods).

Your order was completed and sent back on its 9th working day with us and the DPD tracking states you received this back on the 4th Feb.

We are sorry we were unable to meet the timeframes initially outlined to you, our phonelines were extremely busy during this time for this reason. Sadly staff sickness is out of our control and we apologise that this impacted your order and has left you dissatisfied with our service.

Charlie,who works for gametech,went far


Charlie,who works for gametech,went far and beyond to help us sort out the problem our son had with his ps5,she had no alterior motive other than to help us get our son back on line,no money was exchanged as it was a technical issue not a fault, but she kindly gave up her time and helped us fix the problem.
In this day and age very few companies do something for nothing,we cannot praise Charlie and gametes enough for all they have done for us.

On hold !!

Tried phoning them several times on a Saturday morning. Got put in queue and despite getting to No1 waited more than 30min before giving up (twice !!). Not sure if they get money for incoming calls or if their call system is broke. Very frustrating

Absolutely excellent company

Absolutely excellent company, gamer tech were great from start to finish.
I sent in my Xbox one X due too overheating issues, which I was made aware that they were prone to do. Dan was the person who initially looked after me and my order, he was absolutely excellent in trying his very best for me due to postal strikes at the time. I'm very pleased and still managed to receive my Xbox before Christmas which was good also. Over all would highly recommend to anyone who needs something repaired.

FOLLOW UP: Wrong colour laptop screen now a BROKEN touchbar!

FOLLOW UP:
GamerTech offered to replace my wrong colour screen with the right colour (as they rightly should). I booked in for the replacement a week after I got the laptop back with the silver screen. The laptop worked fine (just the screen was the wrong colour) and I was using it normally during the week. I took the laptop in on Thursday morning to change the screen to the right colour, got home and switched the laptop on to find that they have BROKEN the touchbar!!!!
I tried numerous ways of re-booting the touchbar to no avail, then when I contacted them informing them of what happened, they have tried to tell me that it was broken prior to the first screen replacement, WHICH IS NOT TRUE. The laptop was fully functional prior to me damaging the screen and it was fully functional again after they replaced the damaged screen with the wrong colour screen.
The fact that their customer support staff have outright called me a liar when I told them the touchbar was not broken and was working fine before they replaced the screen is despicable.
I'm incredibly upset with this service, I feel robbed of my money and now I have a non-functioning laptop, all whilst being insulted by the customer support team.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

Mobile phone repair

Dan gave me excellent service recently with my mobile phone. Following the repair there was an issue with no sound which he immediately rectified on Saturday morning at no extra cost.
I would not hesitate to recommend GamerTech in the future.

Great service for an anxious customer!

I was very nervous about sending off my PS4 but it was overdue for a service! It sounded like a plane taking off when I used it. I packed it myself and took it to a DPD collection point. Unknown to myself and Gamertech it was not collected for four days! I contacted gamer tech who contacted DPD and made sure it was finally picked up. Gamer tech said they would complete my repair the same day as receiving it as consolation for my extra wait time! After they received it, it was repaired and posted the same day! Very grateful for the good customer service and the kind offer of expediting the repair! It now purrs like a kitten. Very happy, I would use again and recommend also!

RIP OFF MERCHANTS BEWARE

This is further to my previous review. They told me my ipad needed a new port. So they did this 3 months ago and now it needs a new one again. They said it was out of warranty. Just taken it to a local computer company and they said the port hadn't been changed at all, just cleaned.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL, RIP OFF MERCHANTS. THEY CHARGED ME £65 JUST TO CLEAN IT. ITS NOW GOING TO COST ME ANOTHER £85 TO HAVE THE JOB DONE PROPERLY.

I WILL BE SUEING.

Misleading turn around times for laptop repairs

Unfortunately the stated turn around times on the website are misleading. The stated 1-5 day turn around time for repairs applies to games consoles only and not to laptops. Beware if your laptop requires a fix in sooner than 10 days - their estimated laptop repair time is 10-15 days but this is intentionally not stated on the website (likely because they know this makes them appear uncompetitive - most repair outlets are quicker). As it stands, I am still waiting to hear back, 8 days later.

2weeks and still no response - terrible service

Nearly 2 weeks now since sent my laptop for repair. Not even received a confirmation is being worked on though when called a few days ago was told it was next up and would hear in a few hours. Rang them today again and nobody answered phone despite holding for over 25 minutes. Just want it back now so can get support elsewhere. Terrible service.

Disabled friendly

A small independent business, whom met all expectations. I am disabled, and accidentally smash my iPhone screen too often, they also kindly fitted a screen protector for me. They where able to collect an deliver to my home address, which was extremely helpful for me. I will continue to use this service when I need it in the future. Thank you Gamer Tech Staff.

Avoid these Con merchants.

Con merchants...give you a price for your repair,get their hands on your console, in my case PS4, then add another 65 quid on to the 65 quid you have already paid. Then tell you that the extra costs are in the terms & conditions, crafty b**astards. Avoid. Got partial refund after threatening to sue.

Fantastic service!

Took in my cameras to have the mics removed for my business. Gamer-Tech did it in ten minutes, tested it with my phone app and even let me have it for free due to its simplicity. Will be using them for all my electronic needs in the future.

Dodgy service owning trust pilot account

Ref BBIFOUIEL not trust company has a service what takes awhile updating order a update from gamertechservice.co.uk a update from mailbox tested motherboard PSU cables hardrive optical drive sent test in email apparently think Southbridge is damaged because was no direct power to fan was to optical drive in gamertech comments was pulsing blue light of death what was a lie blue light of death was signaling a still blue light tripping off after to seconds still was blue light of death when replaced fan still wasn't working was other damage with that motherboard according to email sent was a damage chip near Southbridge was repaired fan was working southbridge shouldnt have been removed because was power to optical drive again email from gamertech asking permission if could reflow main chip I replied if Apu yeah still was blue light of death when no permission to replace southbridge or chip near Southbridge when called was told capicitors was removed I've asked why told me was no power I've said if no power why is direct power to optical drive definitely was a power issue southbridge wasn't the cause or capicitors excepted refund when device returned Apu clamp was screwed so tightly down was a bore hole ruining pozy screw could not remove causing pressure on Apu more damage apparently according to gamertech a blod is a broken board when pressed power button was no power no still blue light board was dead due to pressure on Apu will not trust with this service again rough traders should be informed before more device are returned more damage costing many customers this service needs to be removed & investigated only best about company is package box returned was well packed in bubble wrapp to much only experts in from mailboxes gamertech-dpd.co.uk links pdf author imagers & constant links & a service removeing all serviceable removable parts on a board is dam obvious pozy screw was damaged to prevent board been checked if was a attempted repair or maybe could have salvaged parts don't know until extracted

Wow what a great company

Wow what a great company! The level of service was outstanding. They kept me updated frequently, which is quite a novelty in this world of apathy. I sent an older iPod and they’ve sorted it out. I am happy to recommend GamerTech they really are the nuts!

Go elsewhere! Very slow repairs.

I broke my laptop screen and needed a replacement for it. Gamer tech received my laptop on April 8th. It is now May 17th - 5 weeks later and I have only just got it back and I use this laptop for work, etc. I do believe and know from experience that any other repair shop would have got this screen replacement done in half the time, if not less. It is a screen and you do have to order these, however it took 2-3 weeks for the engineer to come in and actually replace that screen after I was informed the screen had been ordered and was in their possession! The screen is fixed and it looks great, but I don't recommend these guys in the future.
