May I just say we are extremely happy with the whole process. From the initial contact through to completion it has been first class, the personnel & quality of product could not be better. Thank you.

Gates were fitted promptly but the panels started flapping as the screws had sheared. Ive called the company, text them all to no avail. I get promised they’ll get the guys out to fix them but no one has called with any date. Very disappointed as I paid a lot for the gates and they’re now falling apart. Quick to take your money for the gates but forget any repairs, they’ll repeatedly fob you off. Thankfully another company came out to fix them. I would avoid at all costs. (Almost a year I’ve been waiting for them to do repairs so this hasn’t been a hasty negative)

Gates Scotland has just completed a job inclusive of side and driveway railings. I am delighted with the finished result and must compliment them on their attention to detail, excellent workmanship and respect of my property. From initial planning to production and installation, everything has gone to plan. I highly recommend this Company!

I have just had a new metal garden / pedestrian access gate installed by Gates Scotland between my front and back gardens. This was primarily because we were having problems with couriers, mainly Amazon deliveries, wandering around uninvited in our back garden, as well as wanting a bit of extra security.
Overall I am very impressed with both the service and the quality of the product from Gates Scotland. The gate exceeded our expectations having compared with other products available online and in DIY shops. I was initially considering buying a metal gate and posts online and trying to fit it to the side of the house myself, but now I have seen the quality of their workmanship (and how quickly they were able to fit it, compared to how long I probably would have taken!), I am glad I chose this route.
They were also able to make a couple of bespoke design features, including a hedgehog access gap at the base of the gate and a few extra flourishes to the overall design which you just couldn't achieve buying online. Their standard gate comes with an integrated slip bolt design so you can attach a padlock. I live in an extremely windy area so I went for an open metal bar design to let the wind pass through, and the slip bolt will make it all the more secure.
Overall I would highly recommend Gates Scotland. It has been a smooth and easy process from start to finish.

Very good service from Tony and the team from start to finish. Got advice about the different options available before placing the order and very happy with the final result. Also, the installation was completed ahead of the schedule we were originally given.

Looked into all types of fencing and settled on the aluminium after received great advise from Anthony very happy with our fence and have now ordered a gate also .

We visited the showroom before we chose Gates Scotland to make our gates. We needed them to protect the garden from strong winds that funnel between two buildings and Tony helped us and advised the best option. They have been installed extremely well and are even better quality and stronger than we expected. Would highly recommend.

From the initial contact, through the design, manufacturing and installation stages of the project, the company and everyone I came into contact with were professional and customer focused. It’s not often you find this quality of customer service nowadays and I would certainly recommend Gates Scotland to both private and business to business customers.

The team were very easy to deal with; any complications that arose were very quickly dealt with. They agreed my requirements with me and delivered exactly to my requirements. They're very easy to have around your property and work quickly and clean up after themselves. I'm already planning to ask them to do some more work for me.

If you want quality - of service, of product and of installation - I do not hesitate to recommend Gates Scotland. Their gates are made-to-measure so you can expect to wait eight weeks from ordering to installation but you will get something vastly superior to the items stocked at your local diy superstore and, I'm sure, much more long lasting. Most certainly value for money.

I emailed an enquiry on 13/8/24 for a gate quote at my new house. An encouragingly prompt reply from Steven McLean arrived first thing Monday morning (14/8) asking for more photographs and ideas of what I wanted. I responded within the hour with the requested photos and, admittedly sketchy, thoughts of what I am looking for.

Absolute silence since. Even the email I sent on 19/8 asking if my previous communication with photos had been received has gone unanswered.

Seems these days that if a trade isn't interested in helping, you're just ignored. I included my postcode in the subject line in case that might have been an issue but no mention was made in his one and only reply. If they came back to me now I wouldn't trust them.

If you can't/won't take a job, tell the potential customer. Don't waste their valuable time by messing them about. I have enough to do in my new place without chasing ignorant tradesmen.

I am more than pleased with my new gates from Gates Scotland. I was welcomed into the showroom and received professional, polite and timely service from that point on. The fitters were on time on each occasion, professional, tidy and very competent, ultimately resulting in gates that look fabulous and are very unique.
I would describe Gates Scotland as a reliable and skilled company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I chose Gates Scotland for my project of railings and electric gates at the front of my house. I picked them based on excellent reviews. I wasn't disappointed. From my original contact with Tony then the project team designing to my specification. Timescales were kept and the installation and automation teams completed the job to a very high standard. Very neat and professional finish. In terms of cost I felt it was reasonable given the work and materials involved. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as an excellent and professional company.

From Start to finish it was easy to contact, communicate and pay for the great service provided at Gates Scotland. They were patient with my request to change some things and am delighted with the finished Gate.
