I took AI-First Product Management course recently. Good overall for a beginner. It focuses more on digital products at some points rather than general product management. However, the instructor is always happy to answer any questions in great detail. He is also making optional session for 30 min at the end of every course for questions. But I could see he really struggled for time management, which was not his mistake. I strongly believe it was because of the extra content added about AI to the original curriculum. Lastly, it’s advertised as being about AI, but there’s nothing actually taught about AI beyond general or conceptual discussions. This was the first course covering AI, so i thought giving this feedback might be useful to improve it.

Overall, my experience with General Assembly was very positive. The curriculum is well-structured, practical, and designed to build real-world technical skills, and the supportive learning environment made it easier to stay motivated and engaged. That said, frequent instructor changes during the unit disrupted learning continuity and made it harder to maintain momentum, which impacted the overall effectiveness of my personal experience.

Great instructors and up to date content.

The python short course is fantastic. I personally thought the cost was higher than it should be is the only reason I did not give 5 starts. Just my opinion

Great Experience, Great Instructors

Overall, the course was strong. The only thing I would mention is that, because it was a short course that I have attended, the level of Python you end up with depends heavily on the effort you put in and how much you use it. Maybe adding a bit more structured practice or guidance for students who want to go deeper could help. But the instructors themselves were great and very supportive.

Everything is good, I like the instructor.

Taking the online course was a great experience. It was flexible, informative, and helped me gain practical skills while learning at my own pace. I also enjoyed engaging with others and expanding my knowledge in the field.

Waste of time. They make u do some assessment which u just need to follow instructions... then some traffic light... which u just follow instructions. The recruiter Mitchel is charming at first, but then become really super irritating, like ppl got full time work and busy with work... then every other day and week keep calling and calling and calling non-stop to reschedule and keep chasing ppl on the assessment... So irritating... when ppl reschedule then some negative comment like "bla bla... u got issue managing your time", like urmm ya obviously i am very busy and i also got other jobs to do and a lot of other things im busy with ... Whats yr motivation to join ah??? So stop it and forget it la. Dont join then dont join la. Keep calling and calling every other day and week, rush ppl to reschedule the appt, this assessment?? Then when ppl get the assessment done .... the checkmark all complete then lecture ppl in a patronising tone... "oh when did u complete this???" "do u think the colour is correct how traffic light works? do u think is complete?? do u want to redo?" like no..?? errrr like i literally dont care. i just indicate interest just to get lectured and berated by u??? literally who cares what colour u want your traffic light to be lol ?? u want what colour u make whatever colour u want lor - literally no one cares?? Save your money and dont waste $4k, time and energy to enroll here and learn this kind of irrelevant pointless stuff.... and get lectured by a jerk. Bye then bye lols, u are not the only one on planet earth. More like u and yr company need our money.

So far my experience has been great. I’m giving 5 stars because this program has created space for all levels, and that matters. I already had experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript before I started, and I’m excited to finally get past the basics and get deeper into more advanced programming languages, data structures, and real-world engineering concepts.

I appreciate how General Assembly is structured to support learners of different cultures, backgrounds, and starting skill levels. I’m ready to keep growing into a stronger full-stack developer, and this program is helping build a solid foundation for that journey.

The experience was great—I learned so much and feel much more qualified now. My only feedback is that there were moments when things seemed a little unorganized, but overall it was a really positive experience.

This was a good class, I'm just a bit worried about the job market is all.

Great program that takes you step by step through the process.

The experience at General Assembly was overall quite good. I credit a lot of that to having been blessed with a particularly active and engaged cohort.
At times I had difficulty concentrating on some of the content and the logic of how a lot of it was presented was odd at certain points but the support and inclusiveness instructors provided more than made up for shortcomings of learning material in workshops.
I would recommend GA to anyone looking to learn from competent professionals in the pursuit of establishing their own promising careers.

Enjoyed the class and felt like it was worth the time and effort.

Horribly overpriced and grossly misrepresented in marketing. I was promised expert instructors and skills that could take someone from no experience to "job ready". Half of the time, I was just watching videos on my own. When instructors were there, I did not feel I gained any benefit from that. If I asked questions that went beyond the written test, they rarely had any answers for me. I was among the top 4 students in my cohort, but was consistently told I "have a good foundation" but am not ready for an entry level position. Only one of my cohort fellows ended up in a programming position in the year and a half since we finished, and that was with her former employer, doing website work. I am stuck with a crippling monthly payment for nothing.

Completed their product management course. Content was thin for a 10-week program. Most of it could be picked up from a book. I wouldn’t recommend it for those entering product management. I found that the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) course is more recognised and practical.
