David and his team made the move stress free.
He took the time to actually look where we were moving (not like other companies that just wanted to make a quick profit)
From the first email to the actual move he kept in touch and did exactly what he promised.

Be very careful as scammers are using the Getamover business name to try and defraud money from charities and schools as well as individuals. Look out for any correspondence from a Jolene Porter in Clearance & Delivery Dept. Thankfully we managed to intercept this before payment was made.

Efficient, kept text/phoning with time updates. Helpful a generally good company/guy reasonably priced.

They arrived on time ,knowledgeable to our needs, and at a reasonable price

The company collected in good time, a friendly and efficient service. Though the delivery was a little later than hoped, the goods arrived safety and in good condition. Thank you; would recommend these people.

I'd struggled to get a removals company to actually turn up to do the job required, plus the council couldn't get the Company they normally use to even reply to their email and phone messages, then I stumbled on email ad for Getamover and took a chance.
Once I'd given details of what I needed to be done they put my removals job on their website and I received about 7 or 8 replies for the Job. The day of the removals the company van arrived 20 minutes early and completed the whole Job in 4 hours, and we parted company at 1pm. The removals company work men did a great job and it was Getamover who gave me the chance to get in touch with them. Many thanks to Getamover.

They helped me find a great mover but I had to sift through a lot of spam to find them and some of the companies really hounded me!

Excellent as I recently used one of the suppliers to move my house contents to Wales. Gave me a good selection of movers who all got in touch very quickly. All very reasonably priced.

Put me in touch with many movers. Moving company I used was excellent. Made the process of finding a company very easy.

John was fantastic, arrived on time, removed everything quickly. Highly recommended reliable and friendly service. Great value for money too.

Wow, the weirdest system in the world!

I wanted to see how much my move potentially will cost at the end of the year and these guys gave my details to all their partners so they are emailing and calling me now asking so when I am moving how much stuff I have etc. This is definitely not a place where you just want to look at info and prices. I literally just wanted to know the difference between my move within London and then move to Scotland. I just needed the info so I can give average number to my partner. Is it like 10 pounds or 10000 pounds. Didn't even need the specific number, just a difference.

One of their partners emailed back to me and said "request your cancellation with getamover so we can get a refund for referral as you dont want to actually move now"? W*f?

No wonder everybody hate platforms like this

We moved from the U.K. to Spain and it was such a smooth process with came-ro.The drivers were polite, hard working and careful with all of our goods.Once the delivery arrived in Spain once again the drivers were superb and not one bit of damage.The move was also made easier by the brilliant Julie who kept us informed all during the move. I cannot rank this company highly enough and would fully recommend using them.

Made the mistake of putting my details into GetAMover in order to get quotes from 'local companies' for my move. Within minutes I was being bombarded with calls, texts and emails from dozens of companies based all over the country. The website promised quotes from 6 companies, so far I am well into double figures (pushing 20). This experience wasn't helped much when I started getting quotes from another moving comparison site (localmoves.co.uk) whom I had never contacted, so I'm guessing my details may have been sold on by GetAMover. If the experience of trying to move house isn't stressful enough for you then go ahead, pop your details into this site and spend days fending off removals firms who all want a bit of your time.

Honestly, I have moved around a lot over the years, and never had I ever had movers as helpful and professional as the three gentlemen from VaiVan who helped me out. Excellent communication, lovely manners, and genuine care to ensure a positive experience. They provided tools to dismantle furniture and were thorough with ensuring all of my belongings were perfectly taken care of. Furthermore, they were constantly very patient and reassuring, it truly helped reduce the stress of it all. Excellent service, absolutely excellent. They had moving blankets and straps which were used to tie and cover my belongings as they were being loaded into the Luton van. Their pricing was cheap and the move didn't cost me that much as the movers were efficient and fast - they wasted no time. Booking with them was no hassle as it was simple, quick and easy I was able to use my card to pay online and I was provided receipts as well immediately after making payment - fully packed and moved my 2 bed home!!!!

I completed an online request for quotes, indicating on the appropriate tick box, that I required dismantling (of the 2nd-hand bed that I was buying on eBay.)

A company then phoned me, quoted me, I accepted their quote, they asked for a deposit which I paid using my card - concluded the deal - and THEN got a text message, wanting to charge me an additional £100.00 for the dismantling.

Called the company straight back, and they refused to refund the deposit, saying they needed 5 days notice of cancellation (despite the move being two days away, and having only just arranged the move within the previous hour!

Contacted Get-a-move, who were not interested. Said it’s none of their business (despite the fact that they were the middle-man, who either failed to pass on the job request accurately, or else who list unethical traders on their website.)

Stay away! Entirely stressful at a time of great stress.

Really unhappy with my experience. The website promises a hassle free experience, and trusted removals companies, yet when I had a terrible experience with the company we picked (who also refuses to respond to my complaints), Getamover's answer is just a "sorry" and "we can't change the past" 😕

This company employs criminals. We were contacted by "Jolene Porter Clearance & Delivery Dept, Get A Mover (Address in Blackburn)" who was employed by Get a Mover (logo on invoice). We transferred money only to then be asked for more money when the removal was cancelled the hour before it was due. This was reported to HSBC who confirmed it was fraudulent and returned the money. Get a mover never got back to us to accept liability.

advertised my moving job on getamover, easy & effective. Job done.

Good service. Needed mover at short notice. Getamover gave names of 2 companies, only one responded. Got quote from Butlers removers via Getamover. Quote reasonable and service very good. Would use Butlers again if need a mover. Staff very pleasant and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble.
