GitHub Support is the worst. Deleted my repo that had nothing wrong and after requesting my data, blocked my entire account.

No transparency and incompetence

CS existiert gefühlt nicht, Antwort erst nach Wochen. Man fühlt sich betrogen, verkaufen Services die einfach nur voller Fehler sind! Du bezahlst im Endeffekt dafür Ihren Bullshit zu debuggen!

THE UX OF github payments/subscription IS TERRIBLE!!! how can it be that I'm so uninformed of where/how my money is going to with github??? I feel insulted as a user and my view of Github company has plummeted. I will inform everyone i know of my disappointment. You must as an admin be able to login to my account and see these problem, try yourself to find the button where I can stop this or see what is happening with my money. I asked one of our developers with 15+yrs exp with github to help me with this and after 30+mins of searching we were not able to find it. I asked Ai (Copilot) to help me with this and it didn't even know the menu flow, it was stating names of menu items that weren't even there!!! If Ai itself can't help me with this and you can't help me and a developer of 15 yrs exp can't help me then how can you be coming back at me with a refund is not deserved and no mention of the UX no mention of a sorry for this OBVIOUSLY bad experience that the company that YOU represent YOU have chosen to work for has created. Obviously its not your fault but to leave me so unvindicated, its exacerbating. I'm doing you a favor pointing this out. unless github is purposefully choosing this kind of UX to suck money maliciously & deceptively from its users? at the expense of you too having to put up with this kind of feedback? Do you know if this is true? The only way you can find out or feel like you're a meaningful person in this world IS to try and put it right. We are all more than employees/founders of our companies we all of us founders of the internet and the world. If you dont see it like that then shame on you.

They charged for a one month trial after few hours of use despite they're offering 30 day free trial.

These people are scammer.. I topped up my mobile only to be charged an additional 49 euros as a subscription.. They basically put the agreement to a subscription in an obscure part of their website and in small print.. They also operate under XP*PREPAID MOBILE... Legally they are compliant but morally they are reprehensible

Honestly just non existent customer support. Avoid.

I haven't used any of their paid services, but as a free account hosting open-source code on their site, the service has been absolutely fantastic for years, no notes. :)

Ich wollte mich für mich GitHub Education anmelden. Uni wurde direkt gefunden. Nachweis hochladen eher weniger. Man hat nur die Möglichkeit ein live Foto (Drag and Drop funktioniert nicht) zu machen. Git Hub komprimiert die Bilder dann so stark, dass sie sie selbst nicht mehr lesen können. Ich habe es auch mit einer virtuellen Webcam versucht und wurde auch abgelehnt. Eine manuelle Überprüfung wird vom Support nicht mehr angeboten. Ironisch ist das man was übers Programmieren lernen will und sich deshalb an die wendet und das man an einer schlechten UI/UX scheitert. Einfach ein f$$$g Button Datei hochladen.

Ich nutze GitHub schon seit Jahren und kann mir die Arbeit ohne gar nicht mehr vorstellen. Die Plattform ist super übersichtlich, das Versionsmanagement läuft zuverlässig und die Zusammenarbeit im Team ist dank Pull Requests und Issues einfach großartig.

Besonders gefällt mir, wie leicht es ist, Projekte zu teilen, Feedback zu bekommen oder gemeinsam an Code zu arbeiten – egal ob open-source oder privat. Auch die Integration mit anderen Tools funktioniert reibungslos und spart enorm viel Zeit.

GitHub fühlt sich durchdacht, stabil und absolut professionell an. Für alle, die programmieren, Projekte managen oder im Team entwickeln, ist es meiner Meinung nach ein absolutes Muss. Klare 5 Sterne!

I've started using Github to gather some codes from public repositories uploaded by programmers I watched from youtube.

Still one of the best place to store codes and collaborate with other programmers. Also they offer free courses for college students.
