I´ve taken two courses with Jim Gore and his team, to prepare for both tasting and theory exams at WSET Diploma level. I´m yet to find out my results, but my chances would have been significantly worse without the exellent help I got from Global Wine Academy. I can´t recommend them enough. If you´r thinking about joining, my advice is DO!

A great way to taste really interesting wines, in your own time, with a brilliant teaching video that is perfect if you're studying WSET courses. I learnt so much. Would happily do tasting like this every week if they were available.

A good expérience to prepare WSET diploma theory d3 exam in groups with a special study of the usual but how difficult questions we can have in the exam. A tough study but with nice people and teacher.

I have choosen Jim Goore's Global Wine Academy (GWA) in 2024 to prepare for my WSET(R) Level 4 Diploma in Wines D3 tasting exam. Jim prepared me exceptionally focused towards the exam. I fine-tuned my tasting skills as well as the "how" and the "style" to put my observation onto paper in the way expected. I passed all my tasting exams on first attempt will good gradings. I whole-heartedly recommen his Diploma prep courses!

I recently completed my WSET diploma, having studied with Jim and Erica Dent through Enjoy Discovering Wine in Hampshire. I was one of only 3 graduates worldwide to receive an overall distinction, and was this year’s winner of the Vintner’s Cup. There is no doubt that I would not have achieved these things without the amazing teaching from Jim and Erica. I don’t have the best of palates and completely misidentified several exam wines. However, Jim’s taught structure to approaching and answering blind tasting exam questions meant that I still scored at least a Merit in all tasting exams. He clearly works phenomenally hard at devising fun, interesting and challenging classroom theory teaching. Much of the learning occurred through group exercises, which were stimulating, very different from standard classroom teaching and gave context to the curriculum. He was enthusiastic, patient and supportive throughout and is incredibly passionate about wine and educating others about it. Anyone considering WSET courses should look no further than Jim when choosing where to study.

Jim’s D3 Tasting course made all the difference to my Diploma experience. What Jim Gore doesn’t know about blind tasting and mastering the WSET exam isn’t worth knowing and he combines his matchless expertise of the best techniques for success with huge warmth, encouragement and a caring teaching style which boosts your confidence and performance. His course is enjoyable and understated, yet highly effective, and he goes above and beyond to continue to encourage and empower you through the whole experience.

I cannot recommend Jim enough, he is truly the most talented educator, who has inspired me on my journey of wine from WSET L3 through to Diploma. Having experienced his teaching at L3 classes, i knew he was the teacher I wanted to get me through the Diploma. He has a humble, supportive and relatable approach with a talent to make complicated theory clear and understandable. I would not have been able to achieve my Diploma with Merit without his mentorship and I cannot recommend him enough.

Terrific course, can’t recommend enough! The focused time on tasting and writing techniques was invaluable, and I appreciated the individual feedback on written work as well to fine tune my writing. The course time was very well structured and organized, and I enjoyed working with the other participants as well. Would definitely do again!
