Glover Priest were a pleasure to use from start to finish. So efficient and ultimately reassuring when they needed to be! Excellent communicators, I had my main Solicitor, Stephanie and her two assistants Cristina and Chloe, who were all excellent. I look forward to the time I need to use this firm again.

​I cannot thank Steph and the team enough for their incredible support during what turned out to be a nail-biting move.
​We hit a major crisis at the eleventh hour and genuinely thought we weren't going to exchange on the day. The prospect of not getting the keys to our new home was terrifying, but the team stayed calm, focused, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to pull it back from the brink.

Couldn't be bothered to keep in contact with me, constantly blamed the searches for not being complete, only to find out they were completed 2 months before. Wanting more money for extended searches even though previous questions hadn't been answered. As a 1st time buyer I was hoping for a guiding hand to make the process easier. Instead I lost out on buying my dream home. Just to be kept updated instead of blaming others would have really helped but nothing.

I can only speak as I found my
Process. I took the decision to use this firm on a Recommendation, however I couldn’t say I would recommend them further. There’s no doubt that from a legal perspective the job will get done , but the whole process was more of an ordeal. There are many reasons I could list , but I will simply say this , will they get the job done .. yes.. would I use them again , No. be safe to say that the excitement of a new home was tainted by this service , but that is only my experience and as I say , in the end the job got done .. at the point of my patience evaporating . Do your research before you instruct.

The process started smoothly but once it came to the searches and legal stuff, we were disappointed with the lack of communication and efficiency. Bethany and Paige were as helpful as they could be but it was rare that we were provided with any form of meaningful updates and we found huge problems around communication. This caused us undue stress and almost lead to the seller withdrawing for the process. We were first time buyers with no chain and the sellers solicitors were very much active in ensuring the process was efficient and smooth - we felt like we didn't consistently receive this from GloverPriest and left us on the back foot throughout the process. Although they were careful and considerate throughout the process, we don't believe Glover and Priest exceeded any expectations. We would recommend other first time buyers to be mindful of the importance of communication between themselves and solicitor and ensure they choose their solicitors carefully.

Do not use this solicitors. After completion and exchange, after I had paid the full amount requested, they then 'realised' I owed them more money and were intimidating and threatening in trying to claim this money. If a team of 'legal experts' can miscalculate their own costs, I wouldn't trust them with your house purchase or anything else legal in fact.

Stephanie was incredible from start to finish. Very responsive to any and all queries we had. As someone who has purchased before, I was very very impressed and my partner as a FTB felt very reassured throughout. Massive thank you.

The sale of a property has just fallen through after 16months of waiting A simple transfer of a piece of land that needed to be included in the sale that a third party paid for also using GP Tamworth office took nearly 2 years to complete. The level of service throughout has been worse than appalling. If I was told once that the “ post completion team” were dealing with my case , I was told a dozen times. To this day I don’t know who they are but they didn’t actually complete after nearly 2 years. Even at the end of my dealings with them, I told them I would be out of the country at the end of the week and was there anything I needed to sign so as not to delay anything. Guess what ? A week later as I am sitting in the airport departure lounge I get an e mail from GP telling me the attached form needs signing with a witnessed counter signature. Just one small example of the of sheer incompetence.

Sally from the Tamworth office is one of the nicest people I’ve spoken to on the phone, very efficient at replying back to my emails and such a nice lady, not the outcome I wanted but she was very sympathetic

Awful service and lack of communication with clients, I bought my first house on 6th September 2024 and I’m still trying to deal with them because who was dealing my case forgot to mention and fill all the documents to send to the estate management, after few months I found out by myself that glover priest hasn’t sent any communication to the management and that I should had pay about 700 pounds to update my name on the property, since December I called the office of Tamworth at least 50 times, been sending lots of emails to chase them to getting the case done, completely ignored!!!
The only few times I have reach out someone to speaking to, I only get lies and not calling back, I choose to make an official complain because of the stress and negligence I was getting from the studio but then after 2 months where they should give me any response , I’m still chasing them to get an answer, been calling for 3 days in a row and apparently the woman who was dealing the complain, never had time to send me an email or call me back, 7months of been completely ignored, saying lies of documents been sent and people who never called back, I’m stuck in this situation and I would need to spend other time dealing with legal ombudsman when they could easily apologise and get at least the documents sorted.

Unfortunately no one has still contacted me or been in touch , 9th may 2025

They have been a total nightmare dealing with my late Mother's estate. They never reply to emails. Really not a professional service. I have my will with Glover Priest but I am now having a new one drawn up as I do not want to deal with them again.

Another successful completion with Stephen Johnson! Having worked with Stephen in the past, I had no hesitation in returning, and once again, it was the right decision. Stephen, along with Nadine Gill and Paige Steven, provided clear and detailed explanations, responded promptly to all my queries, and maintained constant communication throughout the entire process. Their professionalism and dedication ensured a smooth purchase, allowing us to complete just in time to avoid the stamp duty changes.

Overall, we were extremely pleased with the service and would highly recommend them anytime. Thank you for all your help—I’ll definitely be back again!

Glover Priest are my mum’s solicitors during her house sale & purchase, and their dishonesty and mishandling of the case have caused her unbelievable stress—so much so that it has began to impact her health.

From the start, they have been unreliable, evasive, and completely unprofessional. Key documents were mishandled, promises were made and broken, and we were repeatedly misled about progress. My mum had to chase them constantly, only to be ignored or given excuses. Important deadlines were missed with no explanation, and their incompetence turned what should have been a straightforward sale & purchase into a nightmare.

Their complete lack of care or accountability has made an already stressful situation far worse. No one should have to go through this, especially not someone who put their trust in professionals to handle such an important matter. I strongly advise avoiding them at all costs.

If you do make the mistake of choosing these to represent you let's hope you do not get assigned Stephanie like my mother has.

I purchased my property 2 years ago. My mortgage broker offered this company, and their Tamworth office dealt with my case. Now I'm in the process of remortgaging, and my present solicitor informed me I'm not in the land registry as proprietor. So I contacted Gloverpriest with an email enquiry. They responded, assuring me their post completion team would address this. This has been several weeks ago, since then I've sent them several emails, no response, I called them, no answer, and now not sure what to do.
Frustrating that these kinds of people are charging you days worth of salary to do a few minutes job, they don't do it, then they are just ignoring you.

Elizabeth has been brilliant, super professional and responsive all the way through the process. I would highly recommend.

Chloe and Jordan were professional, efficient, and kept us informed throughout the mortgage process. Despite a few hitches, we were able to work together to ensure a speedy process. I highly recommend their services.

Had to sell my late mother's house for probate. GloverPriest Solicitors were both very friendly and helpful in completing the sale in just over a month. Would highly recommend.
