Do not trust this hoax of a company.

So far, I’m only on day #1 but I really appreciate the objectivity and explanatory approach that I am receiving. It is nice to be able to not judge yourself and really understand the details that come together to form a persons look. It is freeing! Thank you !

I like that this works with what I already have.. just directs me in a positive better version of myself. .. not reaching for the unattainable nor unrealistic. But a better version of myself.

Super detailed and personalized. I’m learning so much about my face, I can’t wait for my plan to be laid out (2 more days) because if the review of my face is this detailed, I’m sure my plan will be awesome!

I signed up for this digitally assisted image consulting service without expecting much. I was prepared for a few minor suggestions that would hardly make a difference, or for the kind of facial makeover that drifts into "uncanny valley" territory.

Instead, I was delighted by the depth of the analysis! The service examined my features in detail and gave me feedback on how they place into a continuum from looks read as extremely feminine to extremely masculine. I found none of these completely unexpected - I'd considered my facial features to be recognizably feminine. The GlowEra placements were in alignment; the program does seem to land on a realistic appraisal, and not try to overly flatter the customer, while still being constructively, and tactfully helpful.

I was given six different enhancement options from which I was asked to choose one as basis for an updated look. What impressed me most was not just the recommendations themselves, but the way my features were analyzed in terms of their impressions and emotional impact on others. The observations were remarkably on point with people's responses to me. For example, my eyebrows being set very slightly high reads as being "aware and alert, even at rest". Many years ago, my college roommate, who often saw me when I was exhausted, had remarked that I always have an alert look.( The GlowEra comments clearly have an AI flavor, though I suspect there was at least some human guidance along the way. )

For the record, I have spent decades trying to make the most of my appearance, and believed I wasn't aesthetically clueless. In primary school, I won several national art awards, and as an adult have been complimented a lot for my clothing choices. I grew up in a very fashion-conscious zip code, have avidly perused fashion magazines and video tutorials over the years, and several makeovers at department store cosmetics counters. I've attended all-day image enhancement seminars as a consultant for a well- known direct sales skin care and cosmetics company. After all the trials, errors, and disappointments, I had resigned myself to thinking that whatever I applied on my face would just sit on top, instead of seamlessly blending in and subtly enhancing my features, the purported goal of makeup.

I thought plastic surgery would be the only option to improve my wonky features - nothing too bizarre, but nothing particularly harmonious either. On a 10 point looks scale, I rated myself a 5.5. (For reference I think of a 5 as pleasantly unremarkable (the starting point for "not unattractive") 6 as borderline cute ("she's ok looking), 6.5 as cute, 7 as somewhat attractive/ pretty, 7.5 as noticeably pretty, 8 is very pretty, 9 is gorgeous, and 10 as that rare breathtaking movie star level beauty.) The enhanced version suggested by GlowEra version feels more like a 6.5 to me.

I certainly do not go through life minutely everyone's looks! It's just that in the absence of photos, rating the effectiveness of this particular appearance enhancement service calls for some context. "How much of an improvement can GlowEra recommend, if you've exhausted all non-invasive department store product options to the best of your knowledge?" This, to me is the crux of a review.

If I'd only gotten the analysis of my features and six suggested looks, I'd considered this first month's payment ( $19.99 on a special promotion) well spent. My next monthly payment is supposed to be $39.99.

I will definitely look forward to getting more comprehensive guidance.

(Oh, and I'm a woman "of color", if that is a concern to anyone considering signing up. I definitely don't get the feeling that everything is analyzed as a deviation from an idealized Northern European template.)

I purchased a 90 day subscription knowing my propensity to forget what I've signed up for and getting too busy to read past a few days so I reached out to the support crew and received a reply in under 12 hours...a personal reply from a human not AI.

Still I didn't really know what it was ( I probably purchased it late at night as we do) but it seemed interesting enough to have a look.

What it is is brilliant l. It's a group of professionals who deliver custom analysis of a face, hair, skin etc then provide detailed reports on every aspect to hit your personal high points of presentation. I was in awe and delight considering I'd signed up as an ignorant sceptic expecting some AI impersonal guff that I'd instinctively reject afyer a few days of their emails.

This is likely the best investment I've made in my personal presentation in my entire life. I've been completely unstyled and winging it...forever. Like millions of other women who are trying to figure it out alone or with fashion magazine ls that speak to me but never addressed Me.
I wish this was in my life before I hit my mid 50s, my style and presentation confidence would have been solidified in my 30s or even earlier.

Ladies, girls, women of the world l, my fellow sisters, if you only buy 1 item to help you with your presentation in this lifetime...buy this. It's everything in 1 place, seriously a hairdresser, colourist,make up artist, dermatologist, aesthetician and more packed into readably timed emails that feel supportive not critical.
It shouldn't be a secret weapon, it should be part of a young woman's start to life kit so she always knows what she has to work with and will never doubt her appearance, style or presentation much if ever again after taking a Glowera subscription and applying the knowledge.
