Mr Gulati provided exceptional care when performing my fathers knee replacement. From the outset, he was kind, compassionate, and incredibly thorough, taking the time to explain every step of the process in a way that reassured us both.

The surgery itself has been life-changing. My father now has a new lease of life and is back to enjoying his daily activities without pain. We are truly grateful for his expertise and the genuine care he showed throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I went to Mr Gulati with knee pain two years ago and after an MRI he found out I had a torn meniscus. He reccomended to remove part of it with surgery (faster solution compared do physio), so I decided to do the surgery with him. After the surgery and more than 1 year of physio in London I still had pain in the same area. At this point I was advised to do an injection which I decided to not to do as I lost trust and didn't feel taken seriously about my pain after the surgery. I decided to get more support abroad in my own country and after another year the pain improved with PRP injections and local treatments, but I still have to live with knee pain. The surgery didn't resolve the issue and I now have conditions of inbalance, ankle and back pain on top of knee pain.
For my experience, I unfortunately wouldn't reccomend this doctor as in my case the best solution would have been to wait instead of rushing the surgery. As a patient you want always to feel better as soon as possible, but have no competence in judjing possible side effects of the procedure and I felt this should have been highlighted more clearly. I was lucky to have private healthcare insurance, and believed that everything would have been better and faster but in this case maybe waiting would have helped.

My mother has always dreaded hospitals and doctors, but Mr Gulati has completely changed that for her. From the very first appointment, he was calm, kind, and genuinely attentive. He asked thoughtful questions, understood her lifestyle without judgment, and explained every option with clarity and patience.

What has stood out throughout is his integrity; he never pushes unnecessary treatment, instead guiding us with data and reassurance while always leaving the final choice in my mother’s hands. Even when discussing injections or surgery, he kept the pace entirely hers. He often used examples from his own mother’s treatment to explain things, which made my mother feel instantly at ease and truly understood.

We are still under his care and have built a relationship of deep trust. Doctors like Mr Gulati are rare; he puts the patient first in every sense, centres care around what matters most to them, and gives confidence through honesty and compassion. It has been one of the best healthcare experiences we have ever had, and we are so grateful for his support.

Had a full knee replacement in November 2022 and am extremely pleased with the result. Although recovery time was extended (6+ months) the knee is now rock solid and I am back to normal. Excellent work from Mr Gulati and his team.

I was seen at the Homerton hospital by Mr Vivet Gulati today.
He was very professional and sent me for X-rays on both of my knees.
He reviewed me with the results straight away and was very informative and reassuring.
He referred me for physiotherapy and steroid injections, all this was done during my consultation, no waiting to be seen at a later date to get the results.
I cannot tell you how happy I am with the care I received today.
We are lucky enough to have some amazing consultants looking after us in the NHS, and Mr Gulati is definitely one of them.

Vivek carried out hip replacement surgery on me for both hips (within a 9 month period). Prior to the surgery I was what felt like at the end! As I had suffered from a rare disease since I was an early teen which was only competently diagnosed after turning 40, even by the brutally aggressive rate at which I deteriorated at, my condition was missed by those who saw me previously, I was failed terribly! By the time I met Vivek for the first time, I could barely move, by the time I reached the operating table which was quite soon after (around within 3 months) where he had given me the opportunity to have the surgery just after a month of seeing him to which I declined as I needed more time to psychologically prepare myself for such a major surgery! He was at hand to have my case treated with the upmost urgency and the precare and communication that he provided was exemplary as it was full of compassion! I was treated as a person of importance and Vivek always made himself available to me with any matters that I wanted to discuss… He made post op appointments for me to discuss my progress and how I felt and how I was finding life post surgery, he really did support me thru the most difficult time of my life, even work wise! Sadly, I went onto divorce! We talked as friends at times! Does Vivek pay this level of care & respect to all his patients I found myself asking… Regardless this man displays the true compassion of a genuine human being! Now, regarding the surgeries and the results! I must reiterate that I had a rare disease and that it was extremely brutal in terms of what it did to my body… The consultants and head of physiotherapy that I had seen leading up to meeting with Vivek could not believe what they saw on the x-rays and what they were assessing especially in such a young person in respect of this type of condition! The severity of my condition lead Vivek to let me know that after each surgery that he had never seen anything like it! I learned that Vivek Gulati has had an article written about him in The Guardian newspaper on his achievements and successes as a highly decorated surgeon, whereby hearing that he had never seen anything like this before made me respect him and his abilities even more because the conditions that he had to work under were ridiculous, conditions - being the state that I was in and what he had to surgically navigate thru… I feel ‘100%’, I am able to run, climb, move around sharply. Ultimately, the outcome is that Vivek Gulati has not just given me my life back, he has given me a new life! Where I am 100%! No side affects! I never thought I’d be able to live a normal life, I honestly was looking at how the show was coming to a close, that was it for me, I couldn’t believe it..! I actually thought that was it! I am & will always be forever grateful! I was told by one of the doctors; “we’re into saving lives!” May I say this; “Vivek is into giving life!” Thank you Vivek!!

I saw Vivek at London Independent hospital via the NHS, after receiving MRI results that highlight a meniscus tear. Vivek was extremely informative and put my mind at ease.

His PA Hollie then helped me to get an appointment with him for a knee injection. Hollie was amazingly helpful & understanding of my position.

As a young person, having to go through orthopaedic trouble such as full disc prolapse and misalignments throughout my body, this severely impacted my hip and knees. These issues are quite complex and uncommon too. After having a fall onto my knees with severe hip pain, i was referred to Dr Gulati. From the first consultation, not only did he truly listen to my concerns, he kept me well informed and issue effective treatment. He is very prompt and he carried out my injections himself. Really happy with his service and i will continue under his care. Every time i visit, i know i am going to receive the best. Thank you for restoring my faith in medical professionals.

Vivek Gulati is an excellent surgeon who remains unfailingly polite, kind and warm to his patients. He has now replaced both my hips, 5 years apart as an NHS patient. I am now 6 weeks post op and can honestly say that I am walking better than I have been in years. I would unhesitatingly recommend him and feel very thankful to have met him.

Amazingly good surgeon. 4 months on from my osteo-arthritis total hip replacement, I'm walking unaided with no pain whatsoever. Apparently out of 100s of hip replacements, my hip was such a mess that Mr Gulati says it was in the top 3 of broken hips. And he fixed it ! Surgery took a bit longer than estimated, no surprise, and recovery is also taking a bit longer, no surprise. I have another hip and 2 knees to get sorted next and I will 100% be using Mr Gulati again.

As a Physiotherapist, I see Mr Gulatis patients regularly. I have nothing but positives to say! He is meticulous in his work, cares very dearly for his patients and educates those who have a desire to learn. I personally shadowed him and he was explaining everything as he was doing it. A trustworthy and kind hearted surgeon and person. Definitely recommend!

Vivek Gulati was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole procedure, from beginning to end. I have the utmost respect for him and his skills are second to none. He manner is warm, friendly yet professional. I would recommend anyone to ask for him, he is incredible.

I had knee surgery on the 25/10/2022. Dr Vivek Guleti Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon has been so kind caring througout the whole procedure. He is a very good listener and understands the pain that his patients have been having before surgery. I can now see a light at the end of the tunnel as the surgery could not have gone any better. The movement I have already after 6 weeks is amazing. I saw my x-ray today and could not believe how perfect the knee surgery has been. Can not thank Dr Guleti enough.

I have been passed from team to team with ongoing pain and issues from an operation. Today a weight has been lifted and I feel reassured and confident with next steps after a diagnosis made my Mr Gualti. From the first appointment I found Mr Gulati very professional, very warm and welcoming as well as of course being very knowledgeable. We explored all of my options, and he was very detailed in explaining them to me.
