AVOID AT ALL COSTS! we ordered windows in February of this year. After paying the deposit there was zero communication from this company for almost 3 months. After numerous phone calls and messages, I sent them an email saying if they did not contact us within 7 days I would be contacting my bank to recall my payment . Within 2 days we had an installation date . One of the windows had a scratch and I refused to pay the final balance until it was fixed . They threatened us with a late payment fee of 5% if we never paid . In the end we had to pay the remaining balance and hold back £500 ,until the glass was replaced. The only saving grace was the contractor that they used to fit the windows was brilliant, so thankful it worked out but my advice is 100% avoid!

This company has taken my deposit and is now uncontactable. I had a quote for window replacement back in February and after David came round and seemed very friendly we opted with the company to replace all windows. I paid the deposit (almost £1.5k) and the survey was carried out. I was told it would be approximately 4-6 weeks lead time then they would be in contact with an installation date. An email from David stated early April at the latest. It's now been 11 weeks and they company is ignoring all emails, not answering any phone calls and has not given me any update, explanation or apology. I'm desperately trying to get my deposit back. Please avoid Gold Standard Home Improvements at all cost.

I gave a good review in March 2025 after installation of my front door as did my neighbour. Unfortunately since then I had problems with my door for a number of months, from the April until September. It had to be realigned a couple of times then I had water ingress resulting in water sitting in inner ridge. I experienced very poor customer service, having to continually contact the company as they did not respond. They eventually replaced the glass panel ( Sept) as the water ingress was caused by the seal breaking on the glass panel. I am now experiencing the same problem only this time it is worse. Both inner & outer seal broken, glass has dropped & parts of door are warpped. I've contacted them since 26th February by various means of communication but have had zero response other than 1 short phone call with Stephen in March but no further contact or visit from them to resolve this issue. I then sent a tracked Royal Mail letter to the address in West George Street as advised by Trading Standards. This door is just over a year old. At a total loss

Normally, we wouldn't choose the first quote, but these guys are flawless.

Great team from salesman, surveyor, and fitters all very professional. Standards of finish A1 . Price very competitive.

Got a front door fitted, from start to finish, all involved did a great job, professional, polite and tidied up when the job was completed.

We had 4 windows replaced by Gold Standard Home Improvements and we could not be happier. David the salesman was friendly and very knowledgeable and gave us a brilliant price. Alan and his team fitted all the windows in a day and left the house spotless. We will be using Gold Standard to replace the back of the house when the time comes!
