I have had the A24 trap with stand and chirp for approximately 4 months now and have only got 2 rats from 2 different locations. These where caught on the 1st or 2nd night when the trap was first placed there but once 1 rat was caught all the other rats avoided it. Yes there are other rats around because I see them at night roaming around but they totally avoided going into the trap it's like they don't like the bait, even the lure cards are untouched

I had a mice problem at home and after some research i purchased the Goodnature trap. I attached it indoors and am happy to report that 9 mice have fell victim to the trap. Trap was easy to install and use.

I was initially inspired to buy one of these traps for a couple of reasons. I don't use poisons because I live in the bush and don't want other animals affected by the poison. Also, it's a horrible way for pest rodents to die. I don't like the traditional traps because rats and mice get caught but aren't always killed and it breaks my heart to see them suffering. I've tried the battery operated traps and not had much luck. We had a major rat problem to the point where they were coming in the house and because of their smell, a tiger snake ended up coming inside which obviously wasn't fun. I now have two Goodnature traps. I bought one and it worked so well that I bought another so I didn't have to keep moving one around the property. I use them inside the chook run and inside the house. I'll buy another soon for inside the shed! For me, they're worth the money. I don't use the bluetooth connection much which tells you how many you've killed because it doesn't always connect, plus I can see all the rodents that are killed.

Yeah I had high hopes but the rats in my area simply don't like the bait. Shame as I bought a second supply of it. I have managed to catch a few with peanut butter instead.

We have caught several rats in the trap which has been good. The drawback has been that the trap rarely synchs with the app, meaning that I have to regularly check the trap manually rather than relying on automated information about when there has been a kill being sent to my phone.

The delivery and product are good and of high quality.
The issue I have is I have not killed one rat, and we have plenty? I'm wondering if I have the device set at the correct height? I have followed the instructions to the letter with no success; any suggestions would be welcomed?

This product worked really well for 2 days until the rats got used to the trap and ignored the trap all together. I have seen them run straight past the trap

It works well for rats, but not mice - we had to use traditional traps. We weren’t able to Bluetooth multiple devices.

I have put the trap in the only running track for the rats. They just walk straight through and don’t like the bait. Have more luck with a drum full of water.

When trap goes off, app doesn't recognize it.

I purchase my GoodNature A24 Rat & Mouse Trap Kit with Chirp from this site for a little over $200 with postage from goodnature after killing a native bird with an old style snap trap. I am very happy with this product, It took a few day to get my first humane kill but after that it ended up taking out multiple rodents daily. The trap is simple to set up and the GoodNature app easily guides you through the process. I like how the trap sends me notifications to my phone every time I get a kill. Every humane kill also comes with a time stamp and climate temperature details. This trap is automatic so it resets itself. When the lure or co2 cylinder gets low the app will let you know it’s time to replace them.

Cons - I have had a couple of false kill notifications and this happened when I was moving the trap from one area in my yard to another. When I go into the app it prompts me to declare the kill type ie rat, mouse possum or other. I am forced to press test fire so I do not record a fake kill. I would like to see a false alarm option added to the app.

All in all this is an excellent product, it’s made in New Zealand and I am willing to pay the premium for something made in a country with similar values to my own.
