I don't care what others say about theâŠ
I don't care what others say about the bonding ability or adhesion of this product, because the stuff is defective, to the max. When you pay $10 for a bottle of glue, open it and use maybe a dime's size worth on your first project, seal it up and go back to use it in a few months, you'll be screwed. The stuff will have hardened into ROCK and the $10 bottle you bought is now USELESS. I reported this to the makers of the product and they tried to blame it on "the way it was stored". Right. Today I also went to pick up a tube of the Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive glue that was meant for a caulking gun, to try to use it. HARD AS A ROCK. NEVER BEEN OPENED. I guess its OK if you want to use the ENTIRE bottle or tube of this stuff in one shot; maybe it'll have more value that way. But if you're like most of us and you have 6 months between projects, DO NOT count on this glue to be there for you, because it WON'T.... frustrating that we're spending so much on a glue that can be used only once. Use something else. I'm certainly going to!
A total rip off product
A total rip off product. DOES NOT GLUE ANYTHING AT ALL!! Trading standards needs to have a look at this company.
Bought gorilla double sided tape
Bought gorilla double sided tape. Cost a lot of money, what a waste of money, could not get second side of tape off,it was impossible. Ended up putting in the bin
Rubbish
Worthless
First I should have read the reviews..This glue is a waste of your money..This glue can't glue paper together..followed the instructions read the instructions..Will not glue anything..I could have bought Elmores glue for this mess
I bought the Gorilla glue ContactâŠ
I bought the Gorilla glue Contact Adhesive Clear Grip. Absolutely garbage. It doesn't bond anything no matter how well the surfaces are prepared. Followed the instructions to the letter but this junk will not bond anything not even paper. I let it sit for 2 days on a glass vase and still fell apart once I picked it up. The super glue at Dollar Tree I bought for a dollar worked and is still holding together after a month so far with water in the vase. This Gorilla glue was $7 and will not work on anything. Stay away from this product as it is a complete and total waste of money.
This stuff is worse than useless
This stuff is worse than useless. Tried to fit rear view mirror. Surfaces well prepared. Mirror fell off after four days. Now Iâve the hassle of trying to get it off the windscreen. I should be due compensation for my time wasted and the cost of it. Avoid like a dose of clap!!!!
Bought Gorilla Contact AdhesiveâŠ
Bought Gorilla Contact Adhesive Crystal Clear 75g for £6.50 hoping it would do all the jobs I needed it to.
I read all the products it claims to glue and all the instructions. Used it as it said and NOT ONE object adhered to another, NOT ONE!!
I even held on to one repair for 10 mins, let go - it fell off.
This product is expensive and DOES NOT DO what it claims.
Do yourself a favour and buy a different brand. If you do buy it, throw it straight in the bin, that's where mine has gone.
Back to the shop I go.
Doesn't stick.
I wanted to buy UHU but the shop didn't have it and Gorilla Glue contact adhesive looked like a suitable alternative. I was a bit expensive - £10 for a tube. Tried to use it to glue some pieces of cardboard, I followed the instructions, applied the glue, waited 2 minutes and then pressed together - hardly any adhesion, my constructions just kept falling apart! I ended up using a stapler. Does not compare with UHU!
Gorilla heavy duty grab adhesive
I bought some gorilla instant grab adhesive (£11!) to put up 2 very small wooden batons (20 cms long) for a shelf within a small cupboard. There was nothing 'instant' or 'grabbing' about this glue and 40 minutes later I had to admit defeat and use a drill. My freshly painted cupboard is now a complete mess and full of glue, the one saving grace is that nobody will see it but me. My advice is skip the swearing and frustration and just go to step 2 (ie using a drill) I would have given this completely useless product no stars but that is not an option unfortunately. Avoid at all costs - save yourself some money!!
Have tried and used the wood glue
Have tried and used the wood glue, the super glue and the rubber cement. All 3 failed. They are overpriced and can't hold even simple paper together. Super glue is too thick, container plugged and failed after one use, wood glue will thicken up to paste if not used within a month, and tiny bottles of rubber cement won't even keep 2 pieces of paper together. The entire line is overpriced junk. Going back to Elmer's as it never fails me. Yes I followed all directions for use and storage so don't give me that BS. One star is 1 too many.
This stuff never goes off
This stuff never goes off! Waste of money, dont bother.
Do not buy, genuine garbage.
The marketting convinces you it must be worth the obscene price, but it's comfortasbly the worst super glue on the market. It doesns't flow, is really hasrd to use, and doesn't stick. Literally built ONE warhammer mini and the rest has had to go in the bin. Waste of money.
Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless. Doesn't grip, Doesn't cure, Doesn't flow.
Costs more than Evo sticks like **** and does not compare.
AVOID AVOID AVOID
Cures never unless itâs the cap to the bottle or your fingers, says ten seconds. I held in place for ten minutes and it never stuck but it will stick fingers together or the lid firmly instantly.
Awful product with false advertising.

Glues do not stick
I purchased glue dots to attach small, (1â-2âlongâ) plastics animals to a flat surface in my car. I purposely bought them as the packaging stated it would work with plastic. After not being usable, I contacted the company. I was told âit will not work with polyethylene or polypropylene plastics as stated on the packaging â NO WHERE on the packaging is that stated. After pointing that out and proving by sending photos of said packaging, they are no longer answering my emails. Itâs the principle of the thing that gets. Wonât be purchasing any of their products again.
Buyers beware - expensive and unreliable.
We purchased several Gorilla Glue products for our office. After using only a few drops from a couple of tubes, we later found that the glue had completely hardened inside the tubes and could no longer be dispensed.
Even worse, the most recent tube we purchased from Amazon was never opened.
When we tried to use it a couple of months later, it had already hardened and was entirely unusable. In total, we wasted approximately $90 on products that effectively worked once, if at all.
We contacted Gorilla Glue, but they refused to replace or compensate us, citing that the products were manufactured a couple of years earlier. There was no expiration date and no warning on the packaging indicating that the glue could harden on its own over time. Are customers really expected to purchase a product that can only be used for a few drops one time?
This experience has been extremely frustrating and feels like a complete rip-off.
By contrast, we have several Elmer's Glue in our office also.
We still use Elmers glue that we purchased over a decade ago, and it works perfectly every time. Elmers products are significantly cheaper, come in larger bottles, and are clearly designed for long-term use.
Buyers beware. Gorilla Glue may be expensive, but in our experience, it is neither reliable nor consumer-friendly.
We wasted about $90, and that is all Gorilla Glue will ever get from us.
We will never purchase their products again, nor will our friends or affiliated businesses, EVER in our lifetime.
We are investment bankers, and while $90 itself is not worth our time to dispute, this is a matter of principle and fairness. We are sharing our experience so others are aware and can make informed decisions.
Buyers beware. Gorilla Glue may be expensive, but in our experience, it is neither reliable nor consumer-friendly.
