Supposed buyer "had" to have a govinhistory.com report. Don't trust someone posing as a buyer with phone number 979, four-one-seven, 2230

The report that this company provides is of no value. It is recommended by someone that shows interest in your car for sale. Trying to get a refund is impossible.

Posted a camper on Craigslist. 20 min later got text from a 'serious cash buyer' who wanted a GoVinHistory report. I had never heard of GoVinHistory. Glad I did my research. Quite the scam they have going. Once shown the TrustPilot review on them, they stopped chatting. Definitely employees pretending to be 'serious cash buyers'.

Listed my vehicle for sale and I received correspondence from a "potential buyer" that asked me to use this website to get a VIN report. I purchased the report as requested, never received any report, and the "buyer" disappeared. Definitely a scam. Do not use this site and if you do, dispute the charges immediately and close your card. This is what I had to do.

This company is a total scam,when you post a vehicle for sale they have employees contact you and act interested in your vehicle,then ask for this bs report with no intention of buying vehicle.

Govvinhistory is ab absolute scam...do not fall for it and pay that $35 fee for the supposedly report...you will lose it and lose valuable information. The person in the text pretends to be a woman and is pretty anxious to get you to fill out the bogus report

I advertised my motorcycle and this guy contacts me and to make tge long story short he asked me for a vin history and sent me a link to their site, govinhistory.com. I didn't want to purchase the vin history because I didn't have the $35. I had a friend use their credit card to purchase the history and then the guy ghosted me. So he WAS a scammer and now I'm out $35 that I didn't have to begin with. I'm selling the bike because I need the money. Not sure what the benefit was from this POS but now govinhistory has her info. She had to cancel her card, change all of her auto pays. I brought it to the attention of the vin site and received some story that to was BS. This scammer probably works for vin site so they can steal their info. I asked where are they based and he said Fla. Then why is their phone number, which BTW they NEVER ANSWER is out of Puerto Rico??? SCAM!
