Stress free, problem free move by a professional and friendly team

Everything went so smoothly, the guys that were loading the guys that were loading and unloading the truck were very professional and listened to instructions given. Plenty of communication between Grace Removals and ourselves, couldn't be happier with the service.

Uplift staff were careless with the furniture. When told to keep furniture fabric on the floor, they became rude and did not want to do it. The carried the cardboard boxes and dining table in the rain without any protection. When I asked them to put a piece of tarpaulin on top to shield from the rain, they refused and used safety procedures to avoid doing this. Took too long to load the truck, from 11 am till 6 pm. They used the toilet without washing their hands, so had their grubby hands over our furniture.

Management did not do anything, even though I rang straight away to complain. They only gave the typical "sorry about this", after the job was finished.

Furniture was damaged on arrival. Car had a scratch on it, but Grace did not want to take any responsbility. They said I should contact their subcontractor, Ceva directly. Ceva refused to help and used unethical methods to show us that we had signed on those scratches when they picked up the car for delivery at the destination. I had not signed on any pre-existing scratches. Those scratches were not there on pick-up location. It's only when I contacted Consumer Affairs that they decided to fix one of the scratches.

Since their reply below that someone from Grace will contact me to see how to follow up, I've had no contact from Grace.

Grace Removals were very helpful to us when we were in a very stressful situation -- needing to clear paintings, sculptures and other items from our mother's house near Brisbane by a deadline early in the new year and send them to a small town in North Queensland. A direct move was not possible but Grace managed to patiently work out a solution, clearing the items by January 12, storing them until it was possible to freight them to Cairns then to there destination timing the delivery to avoid flooding and heavy rain. My family are grateful that prcious objects arrived save and sound mid February.

The worst removal company I have had experience in 60 years I do not know7 who has written these recommendations but it is suspect - poor information repeated requests for the same information as a elderly person I was subjected to bulling from day one and completely over whelmed with technical jargon - no empathy what’s so ever - would have been easy to help me out but they refused - this company is foreign owned and do not have an office in the UK - they subcontract the jobs out to other companies who it is alleged are also owned from the sub continent beware

Moving items from BNE to AKL. Grace took 7 weeks to move the items out of storage in Brisbane, with a total moving time of 13 weeks. Pro-Active Communication was non-existent and Grace couldn't satisfactorily answer why the transit took so long. Having taken out Grace Insurance, upon requesting reimbursement for unreasonable delay in delivery, the insurance provider has advised that all queries need to go to the Branch Manager.

Further to below, the response from Grace to this post has satisfactorily resolved my complaint.

I have had a good experience with Grace QLD and WA.
I had furniture go from Brisbane QLD to Broome WA, then furniture from Perth WA to Broome WA, all arriving in very good condition.

From the packers to the removalists to the move coordinators, Grace made our big, interstate move very streamlined and professional. Movers worked incredibly hard and were very polite and careful with our belongings. We paid extra for the packing and it was worth every penny. Thank you Grace!

I have used Grace twice in the past six months. I used them the second time only based upon the excellent service I received with the first move. My most recent experience has however been very disappointing. We were moving out of an apartment and made it very clear about the lift access times and importance of conforming to these. Added to this, despite being promised that we would be kept up to date on our uplift date and time and despite my regular requests, I had to phone Grace at 4.30pm on the day prior to removal to get a confirmation. Even after their confirmation, they arrived 30 minutes outside of the time window they had promised and I had to instigate all of the communication to find this out. As it is, a move that was supposed to be completed within a restricted lift booking time of 12noon, was not completed until after 2pm. I used to be a fan of Grace but not anymore. So very disappointed with their lack of care and follow up.

We were highly impressed with the level of professionalism and efficiency displayed by all the Grace individuals and teams. They were punctual, thorough but fast, paid attention to detail, very responsible. If we had to move again we would not look any further, we'd call Grace with our eyes closed. It was such a great experience to see that moving did not have to be stressful when it's done by the right people.

We engaged Grace Removals a year ago because we were moving overseas. Grace removalists took great care to put all our stuff in storage. Every item is recorded. I find the price very reasonable too, after comparing it with two other companies. A year later we have moved back to Brisbane. Grace removals staff - Lynley did her best to accommodate our request for move-in date and arranged for the removalists to set up our beds and put all the boxes in the original rooms they were taken from, because we were expecting to do home quarantine. The best thing is - all the items were in good shape and nothing was damaged ! We are very impressed and we will definitely go back to Grace again for our next move.
