GrantMe has been extremely helpful when I was preparing for university applications and scholarship essays!

False urgency emails "YOU WERE SELECTED FOR THE FINAL INTERVIEW BASED ON YOUR MARKS!! SPOTS ARE FILLING FAST".

Students pressured into leaving 5 star reviews after one session, where they are fed false promises.

I felt very comfortable talking to my advisor. Though she didn't have a lot of time to review my information, she was able to make me feel like she already understood me and my goals. She helped me navigate the GrantMe website because I was initially confused. Booking another session was quite easy as well.

gives students the confidence that they are being supported, that there aren't many unknowns to navigate through. answers to my questions were very to the point and helpful.

We signed up for GrantMe recently. We went through a student counselor. He was quite knowledgeable and gave us all the information. We proceeded with the program and got access to the grants.
The journey of applying for grants; however, was a disappointing experience. Our child was in grade 11, and was highly occupied with school. Applying for grants through this program requires lots of time and was an exhausting experience for her. Initially, she applied for petty grants and later on medium grants. We were unable to reap any of them. As parents we got involved to support her through the process and we realized that there is so much that the counselors do not share about the program. The program in itself is not easy to win over, The deviation from school while the child attempts to keep up with the grades so they can get into a decent university are some of the challenges that we experienced. The topics for grants appear easy and achievable, but the results were disappointing and discouraging to witness.
Lets talk about the math involved in this. We invested $3,000 into the program. We were told that this money was easily recoverable. We recovered $0 out of this program. This was the RESP money that we skipped that year and we had no recoveries. We approached the program and tried to explain our situation to them. They provided the review support, which was not helpful at all. They refused to refund the money and were not cooperative with us. At the end we had to write-off the money.
My suggestion to you is to ask for a trial prior to committing to the program, just so you don't lose your hard earned money that could go directly to their RESP,

After looking at the response from GrantMe folks, I have changed the rating from 2 to 1 star. I do not sense the recognition of ossue in your reply. At this point there is no reason to contact your support team. the only way you can help is by refunding money so we can put it towards our child's education. You can contact me at 6138622786 in case you want to refund. Otherwise, I don't see any benefit in reaching your support team.

Maryam was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I feel as thought doing smaller amounts of more basic work might be good for me.

Everything was very easy to follow along with and next steps were clear.

We were able to cover a lot of ground with the meeting, so that was good. I feel like the transition was a bit rough, so I had to do a lot of re-introductions, which ate up a bit of the meeting time. But since we got an extra credit, I'm not too worried about it. Overall a great meeting as usual :)

My mentor was very concise, explained all tasks and deadlines in an easy-to-understand manner, and gave helpful advice for my matching.

I look forward to working with her in the future and can't wait to continue learning and growing.

Little more explanation on what should be done to improve

GrantMe has been such a great experience helping and guiding me through my scholarship journey!

It was great, I quickly learned what I need to do for the next couple of weeks.

Went over beneficial information in regards to UBC applications, and the loran scholarship.

Maryam was thorough and went in depth on everything, by the end of the call I had no questions, as they all had been answered in the information provided

They personalize their sessions, explain everything thoroughly, are there to help anytime, give helpful suggestions and honest feedbacks.

My mentor was really helpful with discussing the TD scholarship. I was able to tell her about my volunteer and community roles and we were able to create a game plan on how to draft my essay for the scholarship.

She explained everything smoothly and well. Everything was comprehensive and she was nice.
