Missing item and poor customer service
Ordered over £120 worth of items before xmas and there was an extended delay of around 4 weeks without any notification until we chased. We were told all items was dispatched and on its way via Evri and then 2 days later contacted to say one of the items was out of stock and asking if we still wanted them to ship order without it!!! I asked them to send the remaining order and refund me for the missing item. We have since received the remaining items but still waiting for refund. Customer responses to emails lack any sort of customer service training

I purchased 5 items from Grassfields on 30 Nov 2025. There was a note on two of the items that they were out of stock but would be available to ship from 15 Dec, so I expected my order to arrive a bit late. However come January I still hadnât received my order.
I emailed their customer service on 2 January and they responded a few days later. They apologised for the delay and explained that they had a backlog of Black Friday orders to fulfil and once that was dealt with, they will deal with all other orders, hopefully by the second week in January.
I got an email notification that my order had been shipped 8 Jan and my order arrived today on 23 Jan.
Obviously after not hearing anything after a month, I checked online and was dismayed by the mostly negative reviews left by those who have shopped with Grassfields.
Iâm glad I received my order but itâs obviously clear the company has serious issues with customer service communication and fulfilling orders in the time frame as specified on their website, which is why they have terrible reviews online. This is such a shame because the items I ordered are absolutely beautiful! I hope with time they can improve and resolve these issues because the clothing is gorgeous and such good quality

This company is very disappointing. Please avoid buying from them, as they advertise items they donât have in stock, which can lead to lengthy waitsâeven monthsâand a chance of only getting a refund if you're lucky. Their service is poor, and I donât understand why they are still allowed to operate. While I support black businesses, this one is a complete disgrace.
Extremely Poor Service âŠ
I placed an order on 26 November and more than four weeks later I still have not received my item, nor any confirmed delivery date.
Throughout December and into January I was given repeated excuses about internal issues, delayed dispatches, and vague promises that the order would be sent ânext week.â
None of these ever materialised into tracking information, shipping confirmation, or a delivered product.
What makes this worse is the complete lack of proactive communication. I only received updates when I chased. Even then, nothing was resolved.
This was meant to be a gift, and I was left travelling without it. At this point, the company is simply holding my money without providing the goods I paid for.
I have now raised this as a formal complaint and requested a full refund.
I would strongly caution others to think carefully before ordering, as the delivery promises do not reflect reality.
Disappointing Experience â Will Never Shop Here Again
I placed an order with Grass Fields back in November, hoping (but not even really expecting) it to arrive in time for an event. Unfortunately, not only did the order arrive late, but they also sent me the wrong sizes. Strike one.
Then, when I tried to figure out how to return the items, I found that their website had absolutely no accessible return information. I ended up having to message them on Instagram just to get basic instructions. They took ages to reply and only told me to email them. I emailed them in December and got no response for weeks, despite sending multiple follow-up messages. Now, here we are in January, and theyâve finally responded only to say theyâll only give me store credit.
In a cost-of-living crisis, holding onto £90 of my money and making returns this difficult is unacceptable. I genuinely wanted to support a Black-owned business, especially given their history and the challenges theyâve faced. But this experience has completely turned me off. If I could give them minus ten stars, I would. One star is generous. I will never buy from Grass Fields again.
GRASS-FIELD LET DOWN. Be careful
I like to support small businesses, how ever on this occasion I have been let down, itâs taken me time and serious thinking to write this here. Grass-field has failed in all on their website, failed to deliver. I ordered my items in November, paid. I was informed delivery on delivery, until 18th December 2025, hoping to get my purchase for Christmas, never happened. I am still waiting, I made two orders and still not received not even one . I am mortified and never experienced such company. Lady who calls herself Sandra does minimum communication via email, no follow ups to reassure customers, their frequent message is âTHANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE WITH USâ This is enough!!!! Definitely will be reporting this to consumers right and trading standard if I donât receive my items in 7 days or REFUND!! Never again. They should not be still promoting and advertising if they cannot for fill orders. SHAME !!

I ordered my item in mid November. It is now the end of December and I still have not yet received it despite them saying that the delivery is guaranteed before Christmas. I will be reporting them to Trading standards. Do not trust this organisation.

Disgusting service
Ordered on 29/11, now they have stopped responding to my emails and blocked me on Facebook when I commented on their page and asked why they are still advertising when they still have unfulfilled orders placed in November. It seems we paid for items which are yet to be sewn or they just wanted to scam us so they could have money for Christmas. I am now going to raise this with my bank and report them to Trading Standards

I placed an order for Christmas present and was told itâs been delivered when it hasnât (now I understand this might be out of your control and the couriers fault) but I contacted customer services numerous times with no response. Itâs 2025 and there is usually proof of delivery but nothing. Judy dead silence and Iâm £48.95 out of pocket. Itâs not acceptable!!!!

Disgusting! I made an order beginning of December during Black Friday sales Iâm still waiting for my order. They run ads on Instagram for items which are not even in stock so be aware. Once you order they will create a delivery label with EVRI which will make you think your order is being processed. You might even think is the delivery company that is taking their time meanwhile is them all along they havenât sent the parcel to start with. Sent several emails even asking to issue me a refund still nothing. I wonât be ordering again and wouldnât recommend it to anyone either.

I ordered an outfit since 5th Dec, paid for 2-3 days delivery. Sent an email and was replied on the 10th that they are still shipping black Friday sales, that shipping will resume on the 15th. No more email despite sending and i wish i had read their current reviews before ordering. I thought they still had the good services they had pre-pandemic. Also noticed the company has been dissolved on companies house and there was an insolvency (debt) charge on them too!!!

Wish I read the reviews before purchasing, but it seems like many people have the same issue as me. I placed an order two weeks ago on 2-3 working days Evri delivery. Two weeks later, no parcel has arrived, no update and no tracking number to track my item. Emailed and DMd the company and emails have just been ignored. This is disgusting customer service, I wanted my items to give as a Christmas present for someone but now have to seek elsewhere! As I have not received an update, Iâm now going to investigate this further with my bank. Scam company!!

Donât waste your time unless you want stress
Emails and Instagram DMs just get ignored. No acknowledgment that parcel was received back to them by evri with evidence that evri had attempted to send back the parcel! They only responded to one email after prompting on DM. Since then no response.
