Warning for delivery!!!

Warning for delivery!!!
Ordered a $1000 Pilates Ladder barrel. Delivery driver left the international shipping box on the pavement, blocking my driveway. No communication about delivery arrival date or time (neither shop app or tracking link from GymPlus work). Apparently all deliveries are authority to leave and not brought inside - which is NOT clear during checkout. Was left to move a 50kg box off a public pavement, then pry open with a hammer, then carry inside unassisted. Would have paid for delivery happily if it was done properly/with care. Has taken two days to sort the drama out so haven’t used the product yet! Now I need to dispose of the shipping box as well!

We understand that you experienced difficulties accessing the tracking information, and we're sorry that this added to the inconvenience. Once an order is dispatched, tracking details are synced to the order and can normally be used to monitor the shipment throughout its journey.

Our courier partners' standard delivery method is Authority to Leave (ATL) unless alternative delivery instructions are provided. Unfortunately, freight providers do not offer a service to move large items inside customers' homes, and large products such as the Pilates Ladder Barrel are delivered to the delivery address only.

We appreciate your feedback regarding delivery communication and checkout information, and we're continuously working to improve the information available to customers before purchase.

Trainer not as advertised, plates with holes and cracks developed within 2 months. Replacements also defective.

My experience with Gym Plus has raised concerns about product safety, quality, the accuracy of product descriptions, and the after-sales support and returns process. The resolution of faulty products, and products that did not function as advertised or appear fit for purpose, has been prolonged and frustrating. This includes the provision of faulty replacement items.

I purchased an all-in-one trainer, bumper plate and Olympic bar set, bench, and fractional plates.
The all-in-one trainer was advertised as including rack functionality. On assembly, I found it did not support this function, as no compatible J-cups were provided, nor were any available for purchase. I requested a partial refund to reflect the loss of functionality and value associated with the missing rack function. Gym Plus instead offered a series of small store credits “as gestures of goodwill” and maintained that the trainer was functioning as designed.
After I raised concerns regarding Australian Consumer Law and misleading advertising, Gym Plus agreed to provide custom J-cups for the trainer, which arrived approximately 3 months into our correspondence. The J-cups supplied were a poor fit to the frame, did not sit square, and the safety pin did not properly engage due to alignment issues with the frame. This resulted in some movement during use and raised concerns for me regarding load distribution and long-term stress on the frame. Gym Plus advised that the J-cups had been tested; however, they did not respond to my questions regarding the testing process or reports.
I also have concerns regarding the smith machine component of the trainer. The design requires the user to re-rack into small fixed holes, requiring a level of precision that I personally do not consider appropriate for a smith machine intended for solo training without a spotter.
The bumper plates developed cracks and holes within 2 months of normal use. The damage continued to worsen across multiple plates. Replacement plates were then supplied (at the same time as the J-cups), but these also arrived with defects, including dented metal collars and holes/contamination in the rubber.
A full refund has now been offered; however, this is conditional on me dismantling the all-in-one trainer and repackaging the entire order (approximately 400kg of equipment), including items without faults. This is the supplier’s final offer, despite my request for a more practical compensation arrangement to avoid the significant time and logistical burden associated with dismantling and repackaging the equipment.

Edit/addition:
Following my review, Gym Plus have described my concerns about the trainer as not suiting my "personal training requirements". To clarify, my initial concern was not about personal preference/change of mind or manufacturing faults. It was about whether the trainer was fit-for-purpose as represented in advertising.
The trainer was advertised as having rack, functional trainer and smith machine function, yet it was unable to function as a rack due to being no way to rack and re rack a free bar. This advertising misled me, and had I known there was no rack function, I would not have made the purchase. The trainer did come with two sets of spotter arms, which Gym Plus confirmed were not designed to function as j cups.
My request for compensation for loss of value, via partial refund, was to purchase a separate rack, given there was no compatible j cups available by Gym Plus or elsewhere, to suit the side pin frame design. I remain concerned about the custom j cups eventually provided, due to their poor fit and the potential uneven load bearing and long-term stress on the frame. I would be willing to consider accepting the j cups as resolution for the trainer if testing information referring to the non-square and unstable fit was provided by Gym Plus.
Regarding the plates, after initial issues sending videos via email due to file size constraints, I provided access to videos, as requested including all original affected plates and replacements together. This was acknowledged by Gym Plus prior to offering the full refund.
The conditional full refund has not been declined; rather it is on hold while I seek advice regarding the process and until I have capacity. My concerns around the refund process relate to efficiency, the significant time burden and the risk of parts being misplaced. I suggested partial disassembly of the trainer to reduce this burden; however this was declined. As such, my preference remains for compensation for loss of value rather than full return and refund.
My order was received in late November, but due to being a Christmas present, it was not assembled or used until mid January, as supported by correspondence.

We sincerely regret that all of our previous resolutions have not met your expectations.

You placed your order in Nov 2025, and after using the product for several months, contacted us on Feb 2026, advising the product did not suit your personal training requirements and requested $400–500 compensation for you to source a pair of J cups.

Although no manufacturing fault was identified, we still arranged a custom J-cup solution for you and had it manufactured and dispatched within approximately one month.

Regarding the weight plates, after replacement plates were provided, the same issue was reported again and we requested videos for verification, however these were not provided.

As a final resolution, we offered a full return and full refund, with all return freight costs fully covered by us. We also arranged to send packaging boxes so all items could be collected without the need to repack everything into the original packaging. However this option was declined. You still require a compensation of $400–500, but refuse to return the product. We believe we have already done our best to provide reasonable solutions throughout the process and will fully cooperate with any further investigation if required.

Great quality

Overall, Gymplus offers great value for money and solid service. Pricing is competitive, and the quality of the product exceeded my expectations for the cost.
Delivery was fast and smooth, with no issues from order to arrival. That part was handled well.
Customer service was responsive and easy to deal with, which matters. That said, their product knowledge wasn’t completely accurate. In my case, it didn’t end up being an issue because the item still suited my needs and performed as expected. Given the price point and the final outcome, it’s hard to complain.
Bottom line: good quality, fast delivery, and decent support. Minor gaps in product knowledge, but the value and end result make it worth it.

We bought a full power rack setup from Gym Plus and couldn’t be happier. The quality is outstanding, setup was straightforward, and it looks amazing in our garage. Customer service was quick and helpful when we had a question about accessories. Highly recommend!

Great communication and speedy shipping!

We ordered silks but were worried it wouldn’t make it in time for Xmas. Brooke and her team were super helpful and assisted us with expedited shipping. We were amazed when the silks literally arrived the next day (from Melbourne to Canberra!)
Great communication and highly recommend!

Love it

Really happy with the power rack. All arrived in one shipment and was pretty easy to put together alone.

The cable pulley system was out of stock but they sent me a personal email to let me know and gave me a voucher for the trouble, so happy to wait!

Gym Plus - 5 stars for a quality Gym Equipment & faultless customer service.

After searching for value for money gym equipment, we stumbled across Gym Plus in an online Google search.
I highly recommend Gym Plus for quality gym equipment that is exceptional value for money when compared to current offerings on the market.
Overall a seamless process with prompt delivery, I'll definitely be using Gym Plus for my next equipment purchase.

Great service

Items are processed effectively and delivered quickly about 4 or 5 days. Some items have come defective but the customer service is quick to resolve and find resolution. I have referred friends to gym plus.

Can't reccomend enough!!

I have bought about 5-6 Gymplus machines and every single one of them has been an invaluable purchase!!

Setting up was simple and easy with instructions. Most machines took within about an hour to set up and begin using, depending on their complexity.

The qaulity of the machines is excellent and I can definitely see myself ordering more from Gym Plus. I would also be reccomending Gym Plus to anyone starting up a home gym of their own!

Get in while you can!!
