From start to finish, we have been utterly impressed with Hambledon Staircases and the excellent quality of their work. Our initial enquiry was dealt with promptly and very effectively by Imogen and she kept us fully updated and informed throughout all aspects of the work. Nick is a pleasure to have in the house and is an extremely talented craftsman. His attention to detail is evident in both our staircase and storage area and we are thrilled with the end result. The Hambledon team as a whole are very friendly, accommodating and highly skilled and we are so pleased to have discovered them as a company. We would not hesitate to use them again for any future projects and highly recommend their services.

Amazing quality and a really nice company to work with

Our small home has been transformed by a "Hambledon Staircases" renovation with under-stair storage. Nic's design expertise ensured that we were able to use the available space as efficiently as possible. He incorporated all of our requests for the layout of the under-stair storage cupboards. Imogen was incredibly responsive and coordinated a schedule that met our complicated needs, including some unexpected construction decisions and cupboard paint colors. Nic's craftsmanship is truly superb. The finished product is a work of art that we enjoy every day. We cannot recommend them more highly.

When Nick visited to quote for bannister replacement and under stair storage, we felt confident that he would do a good job. Email queries were answered promptly and clearly. He was a pleasure to have in the house, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving each day. The end result was beyond our expectations, and we would definitely recommend the company.

We recently had our staircase refurbished with Oak & Glass and are extremely pleased with the end result.
The whole process was excellent from start to finish. Our initial enquiry was responded to very quickly and a quote was provided by Imogen based on photographs without the need for a visit which worked very well for us. Due to it being a straight forward job there was no need for a design visit either but again, this worked for us and didn’t lead to any issues at all. We were offered a visit at both the initial stage and prior to the work being started but we didn’t feel that it was necessary for us.
Nick was punctual and very friendly and extremely professional throughout; his workmanship is excellent and we couldn’t fault a single thing. There was an issue with the initial handrail that was installed but Nick spotted this and pointed it out to us before we had noticed it and it was rectified with no issues.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nick & Imogen and would like to thank them again for an excellent service.

We are delighted with the renovated staircase, under stairs storage and bookcase which Nick built. It’s completely enhanced our home. His workmanship is outstanding. His inability to make an in person visit prior to starting did mean he had to adjust his plan but he did so without fuss, so keen was he to create what we wanted. He is also a very pleasant young man to have in your home! Highly recommended.

This experience has been one of the very best. The entire process from initial contact and through quotation, preparation, fitting, and finishing was a true pleasure. The service we received was polite and friendly and totally open and informative. The finished staircase looks amazing and the quality of materials and workmanship shine out for all to see. This project has been long in planning and the anticipation was built over many years. Nothing has disappointed and we couldn't be happier. There is a downside in that as a "one-off" project it seems unlikely we will work with this company again - We have come to regard them not just as a very professional service company but as friends as well.

Hambledon did our staircases to first and second floor in oak and glass. We had a couple of quotes from independents, Hambledon were very reasonable. An online quote made it easy by just supplying photos. Nick was really personable and engaging from the start. He explained everything, checked at each stage we were happy and nothing was quality of product and fitting is superb with an amazingly limited amount of damage to the existing area which Nick made good. The finished job looks and feels superb; it has massively changed and lightened up our hallway and landings. It was a pleasure to have Nick working here. Thanks so much for what you’ve done. I’d have no hesitation in recommending!

We are so pleased with our new stairs and under stairs storage, Nick does a fantastic job, great attention to detail, cleans as he goes and most importantly these days, is there when has says he will be and the job was completed on time, and at the price agreed.
