Disgusting Customer Service
Returned from Ocean View Hotel Isle of Wight on the 16th August. This hotel is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The room allocated was dated and dirty. We asked daily for it to be cleaned but this was ignored. The food was low quality and lacked imagination. The breakfast was monotonous, five items the same every morning, no yoghurts, fruit or even marmalade.
How Harmony can accept that this hotel is of a fit standard for customers is beyond us.
It is now 12 weeks since our complaint, in writing with pictures, NO REPONSE
Unfortunately they are still offering âholidaysâ to this hotel.
Do not travel with this company as their customer service is non existent.
We will never travel with them again and will discourage anyone from using them

I was on the Irish Dance extravaganza trip 9/10/22 the driver Russell was brilliant, the hotel was top class, entertainment, Not as Expected!!. No Irish entertainment, no Irish Dancers, no traditional musicians. Harmony must take responsibility for this. A boat trip could have been organised at Carrick on Shannon, ferry time changed on route home which meant did not get to dalkeith till 10.30 pm. What's Harmony got to say about this?

I booked with harmony on their Irish dance extravaganza, thinking I was getting what the name suggested, I could not be more wrong, stayed in ballina Ierland, hotel was nice, staff excellent, meals where good, unfortunately their entertainment diabolical, absolutely no Irish dancers, no Irish music, what entertainment they did put on was pathetic to say the least, after numerous phone calls to harmony to complain which they didnât like they decided to insult me and extremely offend me, not a company I would recommend, nor would I use them in the future. We went on the Chester - llangollen canal Tour
We went on the Chester llangollen canal Tour. We did read bad reviews, but decided to make our own judgements. We have no complaints. Polite admin when booking, helpful. Also helpful taxi drivers took us to the Bus and back home. Billy the driver was fun, friendly, polite ,informative and helpful. Seats in bus could be roomier, but we survived. We enjoyed The excursions, we met some lovely people, in fact The bus party in its entirety were all lovely people. It was all even better than we expected. The hotel was actually amazing. the queen at chester. I felt like id been transported to a stately home. It wasn't just a hotel of rooms, it was an experience. Everywhere there were things of interest. Statues, beautiful furniture, Roman artifacts, and the staircase, omg! We were in the kings section. Lovely public rooms and garden that boasted statues and a fountain. Interesting information about the hotels history..... I would hope it never changes. I had a wonderful time just exploring it and I don't think I saw it all, although I certainly tried. Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely service, lovely surroundings. We wanted for nothing. Except I did ask for an extension that never came. But that's inconsequential, I could have harped on about it. And it probably would have been sorted....but I didnt. My only complaint regarding hotel breakfast was it was way too early, 7:30. So we were up at 6:30. Which caused tiredness during the day. We are over 70. The excursions were all lovely. Free time fun. All in all we had a great time. No real critisism. If ever I can manage it, id love another stay at the queen of chester. If not, I'll have great memories. And if all their tours are as nice as the one we had, id certainly book harmony again.

for our first experience of a coach holiday we will not be doing it again. the first night hotel was so damp and cold you could see your breath as you breathed out, and that went for the food too how can you serve cold food!!. the next day the ferry was cancelled, [that we cant blame on company that was the weather] but where was there backup plan, none, so was a charge 4 hours down road to find hotel that could take us, which meant a 4 hour charge up the road to get ferry next day. now we did get to see Orkney but after inacctivity for 2 days solid suddenly it in and out the coach like route march. hotel here was fantastic. now back over in ferry and on to our last night, this hotel in the middle of refurbishment but why let out rooms where shower and toilet dont work is beyond my comprehension. now back down road through Dornoch for the 4th time, no imagination why not stop at a different village for rest times so we can see something different. so all in all we got to see orkney but it felt like 5 days travelling for a day out.

Harmony does not tell you what hotels you will be staying at despite numerous phone calls. As a result we ended up staying in 2 terrible hotels, Highland hotel in Strathpeffer and Craiglynne in Grantown-on-Spey. Harmony obviously does not check if the hotels are acceptable for their clients.
Holiday cancelation
Having had to cancel our holiday on the 15th august due to my dad taken ill felt Harmonys customer service awful and there insurance company not much better wouldnt use again.

Just back from a holiday to Germany with Harmony, what a disaster 3 day's before we were due to leave we were informed that our hotel and destination was being changed, no consultation with us about this to see if we were happy with that, no they just took£750 and dumped 49 elderly people in to what was the equivalent to a travel lodge ,this hotel didn't do dinner so Harmony asked them to bring it in for us as that's what we paid for ,all I can say is it was diabolical if you didn't eat pasta then you got nothing as there wasn't a choice. We thought well let's find a nice restaurant but guess what? We were in the middle of a building site not a thing around us 5 nights in this hotel was just a joke ,so come on Harmony what do you have to say ,? You're quick enough to send out you're brochure, but won't answer my complaint.

We have just returned from holiday to Germany.
The bus was all over Scotland before heading to Newcastle. The ship going to Amsterdam was lovely.
We were told 3 days prior that our hotel had been changed. We were put in a travel lodge that did not serve food at night. It was brought in. No choices. Horrible taste. We were in an industrial estate looking at a four story car park. Nothing about us. Lived there for 5 nights without a wardrobe and drawers. Lived out a suitcase. No atmosphere at night, nothing to do. Too far from the centre to go anyplace. No answer from my complaint. Totally ignored. All this for £750. We hated our holiday. Would not go back with them.

We travelled on the Hebridean Island Hopping tour with Harmony. The driver and tour guide were excellent. While some of the tour stops were dubious - the 20-minute stop at a Nature reserve near Benbecula where Harmony had allotted no time to walk to the areas which actually had nature to observe - the scenery, locations and hotel staff overall were fantastic.
The main issue is Harmony's atrocious customer service, poor communication and attitude towards customers, unwillingness to act upon feedback and misleading advertising. Do not travel with them.
On the day we set off, there was a road traffic accident on the A9. We were delayed for several hours near Dunkeld due to there being a fatality. The bus driver contacted Harmony and sought permission to turn the bus around to Pitlochry in order to allow us a comfort and refreshment stop (which Harmony themselves stipulate in writing within their itinerary is a must). The supervisor at their office refused. Upon the driver advising her that passengers had not eaten since 8.30am in some cases and were now well into the afternoon and expected to wait in a non-moving traffic jam indefinitely, potentially for several more hours into the night, the Harmony supervisor stated "it is not our problem...". This was heard loud and clear by several passengers directly as she was on speaker phone with the driver. This demonstrates the level of "customer care" exercised by Harmony at the top of its management chain and the disregard and contempt they displayed towards predominantly elderly pensioner customers, many with medical conditions.
When several customers contacted Harmony's offices to complain about their refusal to let us take a refreshment/comfort stop, Harmony phone advisors advised us that their supervisor had advised we were not permitted to leave the standstill of traffic and that they would no longer speak with customers about this matter over the phone and that they would only deal directly with the driver (whom they delayed in phoning back).
The situation finally ended late afternoon when the police advised us to turn around if we could and take an alternative route to Ullapool. We duly did so and eventually arrived at Harmony's back up hotel in Carrbridge after 9pm. Had Harmony agreed to let us turn the bus when it was first suggested, we would have arrived at the Carrbridge hotel at 6pm. They refused to listen to advice on the traffic from the driver or passengers and instead made us wait for hours, in discomfort, hunger and anxiety without information, unnecessarily. Their attitude towards customers is one of contempt, denial and when this does not wash: silence.
We received no dinner on night 1 despite paying for this, instead being given soup and sandwiches by the Carrbridge hotel.
The time in Stornoway - and both the driver and tour guide's efforts to catch us up on what we'd missed due to our late arrival were brilliant and much appreciated. No apology from Harmony, no offer to issue compensation for missing out on dinner on night 1: silence.
The stay in Benbecula was equally enjoyable as Stornoway with some minor wrinkles that in comparison to Harmony's appalling customer service, pale. What I would say, which I hope is fixable on their end is with regards to the itinerary - it's too full they try to cram too much into a day particularly for elderly passengers. They need fewer stops, longer stops at each points and less time spent travelling on coach - it's exhausting for not that great a return in terms of how much time they allot for passengers to spend at their destinations. More free time could work well.
The final leg of the journey was laughable. They put you up in a cheap, dirty (no way it's three stars) hotel - Craiglynne Hotel - in Moray. You drive 4 hours through afternoon and evening from Uig ferry terminal up to Craiglynne only to stay overnight and leave asap next day after breakfast, coming all the way back down Scotland. A pointless journey - other than to maximize their own profit seemingly. Why not let us stay nearer drop off points next day in Skye? Where we can actually do something with our final day and a half of holiday which we paid for other than travelling on a bus with no stops other than for petrol. Pointless and a scam in terms of their marketing - they pitch it as a 6 day holiday however 4 days would be more accurate - and they should charge accordingly.
Simply appalling overall, never again.

My husband and I have just returned from Morcambe with Harmony Coaches. What a disaster.Almost 10 hours to get there after going accross the contry to Newcastle for pick ups. One pick up was Morpeth that was a no show after 1hour 40 min to get there from Newcastle the same back to Newcastle.Then on to Sunderland/Middlesborough/darlington and finally Morcambe arriving at 7.10. The office had not contacted our driver to say the people from Morpeth had cancelled.Hotel minimum no heating in room kept saying get it sorterd . Back home still wasnt done when we left. Sorry Harmony Caledonian travel looking good.

Have just returned from a Harmony Coach tour and i must admit it was very disappointing. First of all the taxi was late on picking us up to go to Hamilton and it took us 9 hours to get to Morcambe with various pick up points along the way including Sunderland, Middlesbrough which is on the other side of the country to Morecambe. If I had known about the long journey I would not have booked. There was no mention of this long journey at time of booking. The tours were only ok with a distinct lack of information. The hotel was passable with the food being good.
I wish this company every success and I think they will need it.
I will certainly not be using them again. Glenton is looking very attractive.

Left for isle of wight on 6th Aug,Bus driver was excellent and a credit to this awful company, we payed an extra £100 for a premium room what we got was anything but !! Tired dated and dirty very few staff .The food was terrible only three choices for dinner and breakfast was a meagre offering of 1 of each item, the water jugs at dinner were dirty and the water never cold ,ad states entertainment most nights we got 2 nights of entertainment in an 8 day holiday ,the bar had 1 member of staff on despite the fact that there were 3 coach tours in drinks returned as glasses were dirty no music no atmosphere and not much cleaning I have contacted Harmony several times and am still being ignored if you put a bad review on several good ones appear quickly and Harmony thanks them for the review never make any contact with complaints do not book with Harmony and avoid the ocean view hotel isle of wight it is terrible , at the 10th of September still waiting on Harmonys acknowledgement of my complaint. The holiday cost well over a thousand pounds and the hotel was a huge letdown won't use Harmony again and advise other people to do the same Avoid Avoid Avoid Sandra

Harmony Coach Tours once they have your money then they appear to have no further interest in anything you have to say and appear to ignore any emails or phone calls you make. Pick up Local sounds amazing ..problem we were the first picked up in Fife followed by another one in Fife then Falkirk,Hamilton Glasgow and finally Paisley. Time of journey 7 hours. Return journey followed the same route until we got the length of Hamilton where the driver had to make a detour to his depot for diesel. Time of return journey 7.5 hours..
Hotel Oban the Great Western location amazing the hotel did not even merit a 3* rating. Lower entrance if you could not negotiate numerous steps was a tip as was the lift. 5th floor corridor Temp was 80 for the 24/7 days we were there and awaiting repair The sash and case window could not be openedâŠfire hazard. The bedroom floor was uneven and we were visited by a 4 inch snail xuring the night The bathroom shower was unusable with the fitting held together with glue and a cable tie. The public area was acceptable and the young girls in the dining area were lovely. Constructive comments by email and by phone as shown on here were sent to HarmonyâŠ.totally ignoredâŠthey couldn't care less
Just returned from Orkney tour
Just returned from Orkney tour. Took Ill with D and V bug and only got as far as Strathpeffer. Highland Hotel staff couldnât have been more helpful. We booked in for 3 nights until the coach returned from orkney. Driver, Billy was great apart from a rather unwise unscheduled stop at a clootie well on the return to Glasgow on the Friday as it was slippy and unsafe underfoot for a lot of the passengers. Managed the return trip to Glasgow with the aid of Imodium and anti sickness tablets. On return my husband was unwell and tested positive for covid on Sunday and I tested positive on Monday. Phoned Harmony to let them know. Didnât expect the response! He was very rude and said he had no legal requirement to do so which is fair enough but what about a moral responsibility! Our letter with labels said masks were required onboard but driver said they werenât necessary. We looked round and weâre the only ones wearing! We took them off! Regret that now! Another couple we made friends with were covid positive on Monday! We were negative while staying in the hotel as we tested to reassure our fellow travellers and the hotel staff looking after us. The Highland Hotel in Strathpeffer was a grand old lady in her day. Tired now like us but clean! Decent sized room md staff amazingly helpful. We were going to book to go to orkney again but the rudeness of the owner and lack of customer service has put paid to that. He hung up on me and was surprisingly on another call when I tried to phone back. We wish we had paid more attention to trip advisor reviews before booking. Find another company is our advice! We travelled on Sunday 28th August. The coach was Parks of Hamilton and air con wasnât working. Front windscreen was cracked too and although I had asked about usb charging points in the bus and was told there was, there wasnât!

I was on harmonyâs jewels of the Scottish highlands in august. We got off to a very poor start as 10 customers were left standing in the rain at the Bathgate pick up point for fully 2 hours. The company had our numbers but made no effort to deal with the situation. I called the office who were extremely evasive, âwould not divulgeâ the reason for the delay and refused to give an estimated time of arrival. The driver Russell was similarly unhelpful, and just told us what a bad morning heâd had!
We were transferred to a very dirty parks coach at Glasgow, and eventually travelled north. The hotel was fine and entertainment good, but harmonyâs organisation is awful. We missed our Loch Ness boat trip meaning that we had hours to spare before the next one. Russellâs knowledge of the area and facilities was poor and he was generally unhelpful.
I wrote to harmony in august, but like many other reviewers have had no response. Harmonyâs customer service and communication are both surprisingly bad. Do not use this company!
