My wife and myself are inexperienced and rather risk adverse in the context of finance and investment but found ourselves, over many discussions, in the hands of someone we increasingly felt we trusted to give us the best advise possible for our situation. Also provided great support in the logistics of setting up our final solution.

Grateful to Junaid Afzal for his expertise on the work with my pensions over the past few months. He has painstakingly taken me though the minefield with patience (I asked a LOT of questions and was very cautious). He was very knowledgeable, understanding of my anxiousness and provided full backup evidence for all of his calculations and reasoning behind his recommendations. He delivered what I asked for - options on the next few years before retirement and beyond.

Haven have been looking after my pension for some time now. Junaid contacts me to review my financial situation a couple of times a year but he is always happy to take a call with queries or questions in between reviews. I’m fast approaching retirement age but didn’t have much of a plan. I was introduced to Junaid Afzal at Haven Financial who guided me through a financial assessment which lead to him providing some suggestions to maximise my future pension options and ways to add capital to my pension pot whilst still in employment. This included making a lump sum contribution to my working pension in order to get tax relief, consolidating some of my pensions into one pension account, but best of all to have a short term policy returning a guaranteed rate of interest that will allow me to plan towards a retirement date and then evaluate the best options at that stage. The process has given me a structured financial plan which i did not have before, and confidence knowing that my pensions are working for me and that all being well, I’ll have a pension that will support my financial needs in the future. I would highly recommend Haven and in particular Junaid who made this process so easy for me to understand and in such a considerate and professional manner.

Recently retired and out of the country travelling Asia my circumstances and plans suddenly changed , which meant I quickly needed to apply for a mortgage.

Starting off as a freelancer I wasn't too sure how to manage my money financially. This is both from an investment and pension perspective. I was informed Haven would be good to advise and they have been great. I've managed to open a pension account, sort my life insurance and been given great advice from mortgages and investment opportunities.

Recommended other products that would suit our circumstances other than the mortgage. We encountered numerous delays (no fault of Haven) and Jessica chased up and followed through with updates. Overall a positive experience and I would recommend using Haven.

After submitting an enquiry regarding pension transfer I
was advised i would need to be on UK soil to receive any advice at the time of enquiry. After a further email and 3 phone calls when I visited the UK, I received no further response only to be told at the fourth time I called that the company wouldn't be able to help

Following a recommendation from a friend, I contacted Haven to obtain some mortgage advice. I was politely greeted and then put through to one of their Mortgage Advisors, Edward Morris. From start to finish, Edward was the upmost professional. Being it was me and my partners first time purchasing a house, we were somewhat unaware of the process. Edward was quick to put us at ease, as he happily outlined it all to us clearly. In addition, any queries were pleasantly met with a detailed response, all in a timely manner. We have now moved into our first home and couldn’t have asked for a better service that Haven and Edward have provided to us. We would definitely recommend anyone to use this service.

I was referred to this company via financiable.co.uk. After what I thought was a promising intro call with David Liversidge mid-March I was ghosted. I sent 2 emails then messaged via contact form on website in case issues with individual email addresses but no responses. Realise it’s a 2-way process & they may not want my business but extremely unprofessional way of going about it.

Very professional service. Connor Tarry has guided me through the transfer of my pension from SJP and is now looking to help me with some other investments.
