Absolutely appalling bought a white dress nothing like the picture want a refund emailed them numerous times haven’t replied steer clear wasted 70 pound

Agree with everyone else this company is a scam . It is based in China , when you finally get the product it is nothing like the picture and the fabric is just cheap nylon not a linen blend as described. In order to get a refund. You have to return it back to China which is too expensive. Please don’t waste your money

The items took a long time to come and they were not worth waiting for. I wish I'd read these reviews. Bought 3 colours for choice. More expensive to send back. Do not buy from here. Cheap quality items.

I purchased a dress for £35, but I received something worth no more than £5. The quality is absolutely terrible and nothing like what was shown in the pictures on the website. It’s a scam, and they never gave me a refund.

Despite calling themselves Helnen London they are based in china, clothes are poor quality & customer service useless

I have had a similar experience with this company back last November. The company fobbed me off with lies and offers to refund me 30% of original purchase price minus p&p! I'd paid £37 for a lambswool jacket and got something made of spandex and polyester about 4 sizes too big. I should've known better expecting to pay that price for a lambswool jacket.
I stopped emailing them after that offer. BUT while scrolling on social media the other day 🙄 😒 I came across an advert from a company called Hamberly with the same product..and on looking it up here on Trustpilot people seem to have had the same experience with this company too.
I've still got the stupid thing at home sitting in the hotpress..free to a good bin at this point! 🙃🙈

Awful dress arrived not as advertised. I have returned this yet no refund given. Avoid at all costs

Used credible influencer to pull in consumers. Horrendous quality, badly packaged, took weeks to arrive. Don't offer refunds. Terrible brand, very much a scam.

Ordered two dresses both too big. They said they’ll return 25% as tracked returns are very expensive. I said no and returned it with post office. They have received my return, however, no refund. I sent many emails asking for refund but no reply. They are ignoring me. So I lost £100 because they don’t even reply. Oh also to mention that delivery was late too. So it’s a scam. DON’T BUY

This company is not based in London. It’s based in China.
The jumpsuit arrived and took ages to come. It’s about 6 sizes too big. It says size 10 in the label.
Julia from customer services said to send it back, the address given isn’t recognised by any courier company.
I was offered a partial refund which in the end I thought I’d batter than nothing. I’ve not had any refund and they’ve stopped replying.

I really wish I had read previous reviews before purchasing the **green velvet smock dress** from Helnen London in November 2024.

At first glance, everything on their website seemed legitimate. They feature a **photo of a shop**, leading to believe it is London-based company**, and highlight policies like **free shipping** and a **30-day money-back guarantee**. Their bio even states:

*"Quality is of utmost importance. We carefully select our products from trusted suppliers, ensuring that each item meets our high standards."*

Unfortunately, my experience (and that of many others, it seems) tells a very different story.

### **The Issues I Encountered:**

1. **Delayed Delivery** – The dress arrived **late**, leading me to suspect it was shipped from China rather than the UK.

2. **Poor Quality** – The dress was **badly constructed**, with **uneven smocking** and **bunched-up fabric**. It looked nothing like the advertised product.

3. **Difficult Return Process** – Upon contacting customer service with photos of the defective item, I was initially offered a **40% refund** if I kept the dress. I declined, as I wanted a **full refund** for an unwearable item.

4. **Hidden Return Costs** – Despite their website stating that faulty goods can be returned at no cost to the customer, I was provided with a **return address in China** and no prepaid return label. The cost of returning the item? **Around £25!**

5. **Poor Customer Service** – Over several emails, I received the same **unhelpful responses** from "Julie" in customer service. Instead of addressing my concerns, their refund offer **decreased over time**.

My experience has made it clear that:

I sent one final email warning that I would write an honest review about my experience—so here it is. **If you’re considering purchasing from Helnen London, I strongly advise against it.** Learn from my mistake and avoid this company.

As most of the reviews state never use this site. It is very misleading they are 100% not London based and the quality of the clothes are appalling. I ordered the gold and black velvet jumpsuit and it was massive, see through, poor quality and a cheap looking silver colour. The worst thing is they won't give a refund and have now stopped answering my emails. They should be shut down.

The worst scammers, when you buy a product from them, they send it immediately, but when you want to return it because it doesn't fit, after a week they answer your email and tell you to take pictures and send them 😨 I finally sent the dress to the return address on the package and they wrote to me to send it to China, which is very expensive 😱 I don't have the dress or a refund 😱 Ruthless scammers. Please be careful before you buy anything.

This dress I got arrived with a broken zip. I emailed right away.
Only to be told I can have a 20% return. So I said no I will send it back for a full refund. To be told it’s too pricy to send back. I said well I’m not paying for it to be sent back and that’s on them they explained it would cost £50 tracked so suggest I accept their 20% refund. I have declined and they now offer 30% I’ve also declined. I’m happy to return it for a new dress or a full refund. But I will not be paying for the return. I will be taking it further. So please do avoid at all costs

Absolute scam. Dreadful quality tat arrives from china weeks after the order. The useless Julia repeatedly advises returning to china at my cost (£50 postage she tells me) which seems bonkers for my £40 spend. Offered me 20% instead?? Don’t buy from this company, they are intentionally scamming innocent shoppers.

Ordered a jumpsuit that to be fair didn’t take too long to arrive but came from china.

However the quality?!? Horrible. Completely different fabric used, different hardware and the quality of the sewing is awful.

I also sized up because I wanted it a little loose and it just about fits.

I have emailed to complain and will probably have to go to my bank to get the money back.

This website is dishonest. I ordered a dress for NYE - shimmery top and “tassels” on the bottom for a salsa event. It took absolutely ages to arrive - 3 weeks?! And when I opened the packaging the dress was completely different to the video I was advertised. Instead of tassels it had patchy fluff which didn’t even move when you twirled. Completely disappointed in my purchase, I’ve never been scammed on instagram before. Do not recommend, stay away from this seller in China.
