Out almost a thousand dollors
I placed an order for four air guns totaling $942.90, all of which were listed as "in stock" at the time of purchase. After three weeks of receiving no shipping notifications or status updates, I contacted the company directly. I was then informed that two of the items were discontinued and the other two were on backorder.
When I requested a full refund, I was told that a representative from their payment department would contact me within three business days. After waiting two weeks with no follow-up, I called again. During that call, I was placed on hold and the line went dead. When I called back to explain the situation a third time, the same thing occurred: I was placed on hold, and the call was disconnected.
To date, I am out nearly $1,000, have received no products, and the company refuses to respond to my inquiries. I am currently escalating this matter with my credit card issuer, the RCMP fraud division, and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC). I have documented every email, recorded every phone conversation, and secured screenshots showing the items were listed as "in stock" at the time of purchase—screenshots that remain valid seven months later. It is shocking that this company is still permitted to operate.
Furthermore, I contacted Crosman directly to report that this company had been misleading customers by blaming manufacturer delays for their own failure to fulfill orders. Having been involved in air gun competition shooting for over 25 years, I have built a professional, long-standing relationship with Crosman. During an unrelated call with my regular representative, I raised this issue; she informed me that Crosman has ceased processing orders for this company, meaning any items listed on their site are not being supplied by them. She confirmed that Crosman has canceled over 26 backordered items associated with this vendor, citing that their decision was based in part on consistent negative feedback found on platforms like Trustpilot.
When I asked about potential legal action regarding defamation, the representative confirmed that the company is indeed pursuing legal remedies for the dozens of documented instances where this vendor has falsely placed the blame for their failures on Crosman. Hopefully this will prevent more people from having to endure such blatant unethical business practices.

I tried to cancel the order, but my messages were ignored, leaving me stuck waiting with no real communication. The lack of professionalism, poor follow-up, and unreliable stock information made the whole experience disappointing. I do not recommend Hero Outdoors at all.

Ridiculously long wait times for stuff I ordered they claimed was in stock, website descriptions are complete junk, to the point where I bought the wrong magazine for my airsoft pistol, because they didnt advertise the size BB's it holds, AT ALL. leading me to believe there was only 1 size for the specific model of pistol. Well I was wrong and now i'm S.O.L. .... they're scammers.

OMG I should have read their reviews here first! Exactly the same experience - ordered something, they said "out of stock". I wanted a refund and then NO MORE COMMUNICATION. Now I have to wait a full 30 days before opening a dispute with the credit card company.
Thieves that will ghost you
They false advertise items on their site, because they just use a bot that copy pastes everything off of evike.com. The problem is that some of the items have multiple options on evike, but not on their site so youll order something with the incorrect description and might not be able to use it.
Besides that, they sold something that was discontinued, they screwed me around saying it was coming for a whole year, and then they just ghosted me when I demanded a refund. They are completely ignoring me. This is a criminal business that should be shut down.
Refunded only after chargeback – zero customer service
Order was cancelled by Hero Outdoors with no explanation and, more importantly, no refund.
I contacted them asking when the refund would be processed — no reply. No acknowledgement. No timeline.
Nothing. Customer service was completely non-existent.
The only reason I received my money back was because I opened a dispute with my bank and initiated a chargeback. Once the bank became involved and an ARN was issued, the refund was suddenly processed.
It should not take a formal banking dispute to get your money returned after a company cancels your order.
Based on my experience, communication is extremely poor and refunds do not appear to be handled proactively. I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution.

oops.... Should have read these reviews first. Ordered 4 items, only received 2. Emailed multiple times and got no reply. Attempted a credit card dispute, but it was denied. Prolly because they had tracking for half the order and could show something was delivered. So I basically paid $100 for $50 worth of gear.
Absolute garbage company and customer…
Absolute garbage company and customer service. It seems like they are attempting to grow a small store into a drop ship distributor. The problem is that they have no idea what they are doing, communication is non existent , customer service will argue and disagree before offering ANY solutions

ordered 2 items on January 1st 2026 and despite 3 attempts to communicate by email, I still have not received a response. I will therefore have to make a request for chargeback. Never do business with this company.

scammers. put an item as in stock and told me its now on backorder after i placed my order and told me i can either get store credit or "replace" it with a completely different product.

I'm not here to list the same complaints as MANY others, just writing to say as of today (Nov. 28) those complaints are still valid in my experience.
Like MANY others, I wished I read the reviews first. I will never do (or try to do is probably more accurate) business with them again.
Do yourself a favour: buy elsewhere.

These guys are scammers. Do NOT buy anything on line from them. I ordered a parachute from their site for $500 . Turned out to be a pile of crap. Absolutely refused to refund me.

Website looked good so I ordered 3 x items from then. Didn't have any update for about a month. Chased them to see what the hold up was. Very delated in responding. Eventually I recieved 2 of the three items and then discovered the 1 item was wrong. I am uk based so it's not easy to return without incurring significant shipping costs.Terrible customer service, avoid if possible.
