Terrible experience. I would avoid at all costs.

I approached High Legal Solicitors to draft a deed of trust and, in hindsight, the warning signs appeared almost immediately. My initial introduction email arrived at 1:30am, which did little to inspire confidence in the firm's professionalism or organisation.

The email stated that I would receive a call, yet nobody contacted me. I eventually had to chase the firm myself. After waiting all day, I finally received a call at 4:58pm on a Friday. When I returned the call just seven minutes later, I was told the solicitor had already finished for the day and that I would need to wait until Monday. Hardly the proactive service I was expecting.

Matters deteriorated further the following week. When I explained that my partner and I required a floating deed of trust, I was told that such an arrangement "doesn't work like that." I had to remind them that I am the customer, and the purpose of instructing a solicitor is to draft an agreement that reflects what the parties want, not what is most convenient for the solicitor. The deed of trust should work in accordance with the intentions of the owners, provided those intentions are lawful and properly documented. Instead of discussing the available options professionally, the solicitor became dismissive, argumentative and ultimately told me to find another firm.

For a company charging premium legal fees, I expected expertise, advice and at least a basic level of customer service. Instead, I encountered poor communication, a lack of flexibility, and an unnecessarily confrontational attitude.

To make matters worse, the only solution they appeared willing to offer was a very basic 50/50 deed of trust. Given the fees being quoted, the value proposition was extremely poor. It felt as though anything outside a standard template was treated as an inconvenience rather than a professional instruction.

Expensive, unhelpful and unprofessional. I took my business elsewhere and would not recommend them to anyone seeking tailored legal advice.

I wish I’d never got involved with this organisation. It’s a disaster they never answer the phone emails take weeks and they are really unhelpful.

Jane Burns is the best conveyancing solicitor I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Her advice and her astute observation of the trickiest of situations made, what a one point seemed an impossible hurdle to get over, completely turned the problem around, and in a ridiculously short period of time we had an astonishing, detailed and successful house purchase, which defied all reason. I will always go to her in the future for any conveyancing work. She's a tough cookie, a bit formidable at first(!) but my goodness - she gets the job done. A cracking solicitor. I found High Legal on the internet and my partner was skeptical. It wasn’t an easy sale. The buyers solicitors were slow, and the buyers lender asked one question a week. But Rachel was great: calm and assuring throughout a very low process.

I found high legal on a comparison website. Highley recommend. My solicitor for buying a house was Rachel. She was great, very professional got back to me straight away. I had to pull out of the first house after 4 months, (the seller held it up, due to a tenant). But found another one and she worked tirelessly it getting it completed within 19 days. I do think Rachel is a workaholic, as sge even got back to me out of work hours. I can't thank her enough for working with me to buy my little home.

I found High Legal through a comparison site - I was prioritising a great price as it was a private sale and I just needed someone to deliver the goods and didn't really mind how long it took. I am so lucky I ended up with Rachael Fryer. She's been quick, responsive (reassuring messages to keep me in the loop when she's been waiting for others, for instance) and straight-forward. She's been significantly quicker than the team dealing with my purchase, which should have been simpler! And my proceeds were with me on the day of the sale, which definitely hasn't happened for me before! Would definitely use her again.

Rachel Fryer, was excellent, very quick with her response by email, even at the weekend. Excellent service and I couldn't fault them. I will definitely use them again in the future if I need to.

Rachel was my solicitor for the property I bought at auction it was my first time buying at auction and she made it very straight forward and worked with me in quick time so I completed the purchase in 16 days. The company is very good with working at a fast pase as I only started my enquiry 4 days before I bought the property at auction. All in all good price trust worthy and good communication 9/10

Excellent service, we had a few issues with the buyer but we were kept updated throughout.

Excellent support during sell of my house. Buyers solicitors were difficult and not easy to work with but Rachel did amazing job to finish the sell on time.
