Excellent service from the guys at Redditch would highly recommend.
Will be using them again.

Needed digger, tracked barrow, portaloo and some hand tools, as having some building work done..
Explained the planned schedule of works and when delivery and collections would be needed. Very knowledgeable team at Newbury and happy to assist me with the requirements to ensure build wasn't halted by lack of kit and only the UK weather could be to blame..
Nice kit and clearly well maintained and pride taken in the servicing.
Will defo return if I have another building project and would highly recommend Newbury, they are reasonable and respectful, helpful and able to advise when your unsure of what it was that was asked for my the builder 👷‍♂️!!

Hired a plate compactor for the weekend from the Milton Keynes depot. From start to finish everything went perfectly. Kevin explained everything to us even took time to show how it worked in branch and then the driver showed us again on delivery. Will definitely use them again when we need more stuff

Found Kevin to be pretty rude on the phone. Hired a digger from mk hirebase. For two weeks. Then we extended by 1 day as had a few rainy days. Driver comes to collect digger at 8.30am we told driver was delivered at 12. Called Branch spoke to Kevin very rude and abrupt said you signed for it at 11am. So I said come back at 11am as we were still using it. Very rude insisting you better not use it after 11am as it's tracked. Very unprofessional I hope head office can listen to the call. Have always used Hirebase and unfortunately will not use again.

Poor service, no response of several emails and no one picks the phone. It has been almost 2 week since I placed an order for hire an item, no reponse whether it will be ready on the day. I turned up on the day to be told after all the paperwork that it is not ready and they will call and I should pick up next day early morning. No phone call, no answer to any phone calls i made. I turned up at the branch to be told once again that it is not ready. Frustrated I said to cancel the order but they insisted that they will give me a call. No call so far and no refund. I have already sent few emails to cancel the order and give me refund but no response. I will now chase my bank for this fraud and try to get a refund.

Great service, staff really helpful and knowledgeable. I needed to get a small digger into my garden. They sorted out a micro which fitted through my garden gate. would recommend.. thanks Hirebase

Not got the refund of our deposit now two weeks after we of hired a mini digger spoke to the branch got told that it had been refunded which is obviously not the case as we would have it by now. No further communication from them. It seems from previous reviews that this is normal for hire base which is unacceptable

Still waiting for deposit to be returned 7 days after hire finished. No reply to emails to the branch and telephone line is always busy. Awful customer experience.

Scaffold tower did not arrive after being booked and paid for online. The depot said “nobody told us”.
On the revised delivery date the tower was delivered with minor damage which they later claimed I had done and refused to repay me the £400 deposit, even though the hire desk manager had personally unloaded the damaged parts with me. They were unresponsive to my protests. I feel abused.

Don't believe the advertised prices. Hired a scarifier for a day for £49 as shown on the website. It ended up being £70 when they added vat and a compulsory damage waiver

I recently hired some heavy equipment from the Hirebase centre in Barnsley. The overall experience was very positive. My contact was a lady called Kirsty who's professionalism made the whole process smooth and efficient! The final hire price was reasonable and I would not hesitate to conduct business with this company again!

Terrible experience,
The staff down the beach must be he slowest I’ve ever came accross, extremely disorganised, stood down there for wrll over 30 minutes, had hired beofre etc so should have been a breeze.
Was told when hired that deposit will be straight back when done “we are good here, 2-3 days’
Still waiting now 2 weeks later, going down local branch later today to knock some heads together.
Will never use again and would advice to do the same.

The Staff were excellent, machine deliverd on time and it did everything it was supposed to do very well. It was collected promptly, then the Hirebse experience went down hill
Eight days later and I'm still waiting for my deposit to be returned despite visiting the local branch where I was told the money was 'in transit' . I should have asked where to as it has yet to turn up in my account! It only took a few seconds for it to leave so there is something very suspicious going on at Hirebase! Which is a shame as the branch staff worked so hard to make the hire experience a good one.

I initially booked a 1.5t digger for 1 week. I called Hirebase to ask for the day rate cost for the digger beyond the week hire (as I needed the digger for a little longer), and they said they would charge a pro-rata day rate based on the original week hire cost, and I just needed to call them when I was finished with it for pick up. On this basis, I used it for 4 additional days, and called them for pick up for which they did immediately.
I had also booked a compactor for 1 week (separate booking).
On settling payment for the two returned items, I was then told it would be an additional weeks hire cost for the additional 4 days of the digger. I was never told this in any previous communications.
They then charged me for an additional day for the compactor which was meant to be returned on a bank holiday....when they were closed. This was not brought to my attention at the time of hire, nor was this included in the quote for the compactor when hired, even though they were aware of this fact when I hired the compactor.
Finally....they also tried to charge me for tank of fuel for the compactor even though it was full of petrol, without asking me or checking. It was only removed when I challenged the inclusion.
Given they had taken a £600 deposit off me at time of hire, they deducted what they wanted under my protest, leaving me out of pocket. On calling Head Office I was told without an account there was nothing they could do, and local manager had total discretion to charge what they wanted.
There are many other hire companies in MK which are just as competitive and more honest, and would recommend DIY/Sole traders consider these instead.

Hirebase birmingham b9 waste of time.
First they don't have the machine I want but can hire from third party and than hire to me than the don't let me know when I would be able to collect and no call back had to ring them several times on different days even though they said they will call me within an hour.
In summary I would say stay clear of this unprofessional firm as they will waste your time.
Ps I did get my machine from elsewhere for nearly half the price they wanted so lesson learnt.

Phoned up and booked a compactor at Basingstoke. Sent in documentation. Was told by Steve it would all be organised for a Saturday pick up. Arrived no compactors available. Nothing left by Steve. We had labour booked to do our job which we had stand down at great expense.
Would give a nil star rating if we could

We hired 2 commercial dehumidifiers from the Ipswich branch when our son's bungalow was flooded. We were assured that these would work at temperatures of above 3 degrees. In the 3 days we had them they collected in total less than one bucket full each, The daytime temperatues in the bungalow were 10 to 12 degrees and the night time temperatures above 3 degrees. For this we were charged a full weeks rental of over £150. A total rip-off for 2 buckets of water. Our own domestic dehumidifiers we also used picked up twice the amount of water. On speaking to Hirebase we were told no compensation was possible as the invoice had already been issued. Be very careful when hiring from this company.

I hired a dehumidifier. I phoned a couple of branches and they both got back to me promptly with information on price & availability. I went to their Stevenage branch and was very well looked after. I can't fault them.

Hirebase in LOUTH is fantastic, always helpful and happy to help. The two guys in there go above and beyond what you would expect from a hire company. I was advised not to use website but contact my nearest branch instead and I couldn’t be happier. Delivery and collection was when they said and someone is always at the end of the phone or out of hours on there social media page. Excellent customer service and i will be using them for future projects.

The prices advertised are deeply misleading. For the item I hired the additional costs were: delivery, wear charge, fuel charge, damage waiver & admin charge. You also have to pay a deposit.
All-in the cost was double that advertised.
The item was delivered on time.
The item worked as advertised, but the blades were somewhat blunt, so the job took longer and more effort than it might of.
It was collected on time, however it took over a week, including at least 4 phone calls and an email to get my deposit back.
