I ordered a fleece that arrived a few days later but unfortunately was too big, returned and exchanged for a smaller size that was a perfect fit. Very nice quality and good value. I have ordered several items in the past with no issues. Will definitely use again and would recommend.

This is more a warning about a product rather than a review as it is being returned (actually I bought 2 thinking I was getting a bargain in the sale, at £27 each, usually pay around £50 with Smartwool or DHB) the 100% Merino Wool Short Sleeve Crew Neck Baselayer, in Green, priced at £26.95 in the sale plus postage, now the sleeve length, the inseam sleeve length in particular is insanely short, for my size XL its only 5cm, I am usually always happy with either L or XL in baselayers, I am slim and tall rather than bulky and muscular around the shoulders for example, so the inner sleeve length on these ones is only 5cm meaning the end of the sleeve goes right into your armpit instead of around the arm muscle area as usuall, my many other baselayers and even my regular tech tees measure at 10cm to 13cm on the inseam, all very normal stuff, so I am guessing these are seconds, 5cm inseam sleeve length come on Hoggs, you need to be honest with your customers, it is wrong to keep selling this product, nobody want 5cm inner sleeve length digging into their armpit all the time or the hassle of having to return for £3.95.

The walking shoes look pretty sturdy when you buy them, but they have zero waterproofing, even with light rain your socks and feet get wet. maybe they are counterfeit, i dont know, but my experience hasn't been good.

Movable (secondary) belt keeper was held together with very poor stitching which came apart after a few weeks. Hoggs said they couldn't provide a replacement. Main keeper is laminated, not solid leather, and is failing fast. Belt itself is coloured by means of some kind of coating which is wearing through in several places revealing a much lighter colour underneath. Would never by from Hoggs again.

I bought a pair of Hoggs Banff boots in Sept 2024, through a distributor and just 13 months later one of the soles split right across. Hoggs said to report back to the distributor. The distributor, although they initially appreciated my reason for claiming, and said Hoggs were good at responding quickly. Several weeks later, still no feedback. Whilst I appreciate that they are strictly (just) out of warranty, the boots were only used as day-to-to office wear and were otherwise in very good condition, and not what expected. They certainly weren't used for the country and farm use advertised! The soles very obviously have a manufacturing defect.

Zero stars for Hoggs of Fife. . Took my wife’s coat as faulty, promised to sort it out. ) months later, endless false promises, no coat has been returned or replaced. They do not take calls. They simply fob us off. Reported to trading standards. Avoid this reprehensible company. The worst customer service ever.

These boots feel a bit clunky at first, but they’re outstanding on wet rock and coastal terrain. The grip is solid, the build is tough, and they handle harsh conditions far better than most footwear in the same price range. Ideal for anyone who needs reliability over sleek design

Bought the Padded Waxed Jacket Navy. It was delivered the next day. Well packaged and exactly what I wanted. Good quality and really well priced. I am very happy and will buy again.

i had to pay custom fees in the reublic of ireland after i paid delivery fees on the order and the size is wrong so please if you buy a tweed jacket go up one size
the coat is lovely but too much hassle overall

Bought some dealer boots (professional) stitching came off after 2 months and now the soles are parting company. Absolute rubbish , paid £85. No reply from Hoggs. Don't buy.

I put 1 star because it wouldn't let me leave 0. Bought a pair of Hoggs Artemis boots and the sole separated from the boot at the toe within 1 day, took them back and got a replacement pair that managed two days before coming apart. A waste of time and money.

Two pairs of their Hoggs of Life rubber boots we bought in 2023/2024 developed leaks -one within less than 10 month, another within a year. Expensive boots with rubbish quality. Customer service non-existent. Stay away.

I paid a £154.00 for a pair of Hoggs boots. Four weeks into the purchase the right hand tongue came of making them difficult to put on. I am from a farming community and used to swear by Hoggs, not any more.

I ordered an Argyll II Waterproof Jacket in recent sale and had confirmation of purchase. After waiting a week I telephoned Hoggs to check on delivery and to be told the jacket was no longer available. However the jacket still appears on their website …. be at a higher price.

Telephone and emails have brought no resolution. Not great customer service for someone who has been buying from them for years.

It is little wonder there are so many poor reviews. I ordered hoggs of fife poseidon boots from shoestation direct and have had them for 2 months. After very little wear the stitching has came away from one of the boots leaving a hole I can fit 4 fingers into. Shocking quality for the price paid. Will not be using again and will be doing more extensive homework on future boots purchased because of this experience.

Wellington boots were £120 and only ever used in a very muddy field for my dog walking. So in total about 100 days and only 45 minutes on each walk. The material has just perished and split. Sent email to Hoggs, not surprised I haven’t heard a thing back just like previous complaints on this site. I wish I had checked here before buying these overpriced rubbish boots.
