Cynthia was very polite and helpful and called me back when she said she would. That was very kind.

We ended up having a good trip despite the involvement of Holiday Buzz. They did their usual bait and switch that they are quite well known for - advertising a great trip at a low price that is only available at 5am from Humber airport on a Tuesday in February when advertised in London - so cost quickly doubles and triples!

It took forever to book as they seem to use an overseas call centre where staff have poor English, so everything had to be repeated twice and spelt out. Will never use again as prefer to book what I actually want, even if I cannot match their low price. We are experienced travellers and have mostly planned our own trips, but this was a too good to be true advert in the free paper.

In our case they described a hotel near the city centre - they quoted a 10 minute walk from the hotel we originally wanted and INSTEAD put is in a hotel at the last stop on the metro.

I have written a formal complaint, notified Trading Standards and called Holiday Buzz, but all correspondence is being ignored - so all I can do is warn others not to use them.

Hotel and transfers were actually really good, but not being anywhere near where we expected was a surprise and cost us time and money travelling in every day.

If I could score a minus I would. Worst travel agent I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Problems from start to finish. Could not make any changes without paying full cost. Had to book alternative flights and accommodation elsewhere. Hotels were astonishing. So very very poor. Not even 1 star! Neither were central as assured at booking. Both sub standard. Did not feel safe. Practically begged holidaybuzz to help find an alternative to no avail. Numerous emails of complaint sent. They wanted video / photographic evidence of issues. Was so afraid and feeling vulnerable in both hotels they booked I was not thinking about taking pictures! They were dirty , cugarettte burns in blankets. Breakfast was so poor we did not eat. Stench of cannabis in corridor. Prostitution outside one hotel. Etc etc etc. after all the back and forth trying to have the complaint heard and acknowledged I lost the will to keep going with it so told them not to contact me ever again. Spent over £2k on original flights and hotels. Then spent another £2k plus on new flights and hotels. They offered £20 compensation! What an insult! Oh yes also £40 off my next booking! As if I would ever book with them again! I could go on but will end here and hope all of you out there get the message! Disgusting and shameless company!

I saw an all inclusive deal on Metro, the free newspaper, I thought it was good so didn’t hesitate to call the number on the ad as I’ve taken two previous holiday through this newspaper.
When I called them they said that that specific hotel was not available so the agent started to offer me different hotels until I accepted one of them,
the original newspaper deal was for £259, but this one was for £395 even though it wasn’t as good as the original newspaper hotel, I don’t know why did I accept.
My companion later had a problem that she couldn’t fly so I called them to ask them if I could cancel the trip or change the name of my companion to someone else, they told me that cancellation was almost impossible and that I should go for the name changing.
They kept me waiting for few days before they told me how much it will cost, I almost fell from my chair, it was £289, almost the same as going on the holiday, no matter how much I talked to them they were adamant that they didn’t set this number but it was their suppliers.
I reluctantly paid.
It was only when I tried to check in with airline that I realised what those crooks have done as I couldn’t check in without checking in my companion too.
Here is the trick, the booking was made by me, the hotel room had one double and one single bed so it’s enough for three people, the name we needed to change was for the second person so what they did was just purchasing a flight seat that costed les than £70 and they kept over £200 for themselves without changing any name.
My heart was bleeding when I sat in the plane with the seat next to me empty knowing that I have paid for it, the hotel also asked me about my friend and I had to tell them she’s not coming.
I hope they lose this £200 they stole from ten times or more, I hope someone takes them to court and they lose millions of pounds
They are a bunch of crooks that no one should trust them.

Had to chase paoerwork on a few occasions but Neil was incredibly helpful, polite & professional & resolved my isses
