Excellent service on the purchase of my new house.

booked a valuation, Kevin from the branch came and insisted he did not need to go inside the property and will have a valuation the next day, after chasing for 2 weeks I have had no response, waste of time

Holroyds Team were great ,Sabba keeping me up to date on the sale of my property and also helping me find and purchase new home, could not have chosen a more helpful team ,You were all Great very pleasant /helpful/understanding. Thank You Team Holroyd

Overall poor. What I can say as a positive it that James the original sale rep came round and valued the house quickly and realistically and the house was on the market fast. The photos were very poor but they quickly sorted that so happy there. The house sold quick 7 weeks from sale to us moving however two big issues . The main one was the lack of integrity of the portfolio handler who was dealing with our move ... the two viewers who both put in offers were mislead and badly treated... one viewer put an offer in to then be out bid ... holroyds then told us misinformation when asked if they wanted to counter offer they said they would go back to mortgage to see of they could get more ..holroyds rep was disingenuous and told us that they had declined to further up the offer which was just not true .. queue very upset potential buyers who resorted to knocking on our door to explain the situation. It was badly handled by holroyds. The buyer of our house who was a lovely person got no comms or update from holroyds not once so we kept each other updated. Weekly promised updated calls didn't happen at all we had three weeks out of 7 with calls and 2 where the rep rang twice then hung up I am assuming to put a call attempt on their internal call log. However the last call I had with the rep was appalling ... she gave me a call to confirm its close to exchanging, I said no, not close we agreed to move already this week, rep got very agressive and rude... she was so behind on progression and so far out of the loop she was getting angrier and angrier through gritted teeth telling me that my buyer had some documents outstanding so I merely said not sure that's correct but I will chase.. she was by this point shouting down the phone at me telling me no to chase anything. Her behaviour was disgusting and she put the phone down on me .... I got one phone call after from them mid morning moving day from a lovely friendly lady called naomi the poor lads given the short straw .. no surprise the other one didn't dare call. Apparently i have a welcome gift at the shop to collect but ld rather not bother given how appalling the rep was. I wish I had checked reviews out beforehand and would not recommend them for use again. They can argue that they sold the house but they didn't... the house sold itself and me and my buyer got the sale over the line which is demonstrable ... I will not use them them again as will not have them representing me when house selling and buying is so emotive and I took what happened to the couple who were mislead very seriously.... you don't treat people like that.

Had a smooth transition to acquiring my new home. Chloe couldn’t help enough.
Kept me informed all the way throughout.

I’ve just had the worst mortgage brokerage experience ever. I was misinformed and duped into paying exorbitant fees for what seemed a genuine mortgage offer only to be told in the last minute they couldn’t go ahead with it over information they already had prior agreement and payment but chose to bring it up as an excuse to justify why they can keep my fees which are Jon refundable. They either are very good at legally ripping people off or are so incompetent that they mis-sell products they can not guarantee. I’ve parted with £1108.00 for nothing. I had a mortgage in principle and gave all my personal and financial information only for them to withdraw at the last minute based on some baseless speculation about my savings. At a time when nurses are striking over pay and substandard living conditions, what a blow from these unscrupulous financial predators.

It is clear that as a tenant, you are not a priority for Holroyds. Communication is extremely lacking; even keeping my partner, who was on the contract with me, on cc was too much to ask. We have serious doubts they had ever seen the inside of our rental property, since they had no clue about the poor state of the place. Applying for the tenancy was already a confusing process, as they didn't explain any of the steps to us and we had to call them many times to find out what was happening. They tried to push a very aggressive contract on us halfway through our tenancy and when we refused to sign, we got the response "I don't understand why you don't just sign." For viewings their representative was half an hour late and didn't even bother to come in. We were forced to show the prospective tenants the house ourselves. When we dropped off the keys at the end of the tenancy, they were even surprised to see us and didn't ask for any ID or anything. Uninvolved, disinterested and rude.

Arranged a viewing for a property on school street and just 1 hr before I get a call to say the viewing has been cancelled after arranging my diary around the appointment.. shocking service
